  2. Dear Junneng, Junneng Ong wrote: It makes me wonder if a person who is born in another country who has the exactly the same ba zhi as me will have the same destiny as me. Will such a person likely to have the same personality as well? They will have different overall luck. This is because, ba zi does not take into account your home & environment, your education, the people around you etc. So though the ba zi chart which only analyse based on your date and time of birth will show you the type of luck you are given. The two person will have different experience making their destiny slightly different. For example, if a person's home/country is always having natural disaster/wars etc. His luck encounter will definately be different from the other person who stays in a stable country. Same goes for education. One person has only primary education, while another has degree. The luck he will experience due to difference in education will also be different. It is more than likely that the person with the higher education will get a better job and pay if both are to work for others. Even the people you brought you up, and the people around you will also influence your luck. Thus, even though two person shares the same ba zi chart, what it only means is that the luck for this person is supposed to be this like this. However, if the luck will still defer depending on your surrounding, education, people around you etc. That is why in feng shui we cannot just look at your heaven luck (ba zi), we need to also consider your earth luck (typically your home), and your human luck (your own hardwork and people around you). It is this holy trinity of luck that, differs from person to person, thus having different opportunities and destiny. Hope that helps. 3. Dear Aaron, Aaron Neo wrote: Hi , Im quite new to this feng shui stuff . I was wondering if i can use water plants in small containers on rounded shelves on corners of my walls in my bedroom as my bedroom has a column and some wall are protruding thus theres many sharp edges pointing everything . I cant think of any other small land plants to use that wont die fast other than cactus which i think defeats the purpose . I am a Strong Fire so i hope that the water will neutralise it somewhat . Thanks for all help If the column is at least rounded, then it should not be a major problem compared to a sharp corner. Anything that can help break or block the corner will help. However, it is not a wise thing to place big pots of plants in the room. This is because, the plants will fight with you for oxygen in the night. Also plants are yang which is not good for bedroom which requires yin. If you really got no other way to block it, then consider those fake artificial decorative plants instead of real plants. That will help to block the corner if it is a problem. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  4. Dear Cahaya, Cahaya Harapan wrote: I read from wofs website, to change your house to period 8 without change your roof, your floor and main door is by open the door or window at NW sector. Period 8 Qi will come from NW. Is it true ? Just think about what you have said. How do you expect to change the house luck by opening a door or window ar NW if there is no door or window there in the first place? or a landed property, you may be able to do this, but for apartments you will not likely be able to do this. So this method is rather flawed. However, for landed property, this may work to some extend. However, it may not be enough, because for landed property, it is the facing of the house that is more important. So just opening a door in that direction may not be enough also. You may still need to have additional celebrations to help it fly over. The immediate way to change the Qi of the house, is have a major renovation of the house. ie. simply to change the layout of the house house by hacking a wall or removal/additional of a room within the house. Or even to remove/replace the roof of the house. The not so major renovation, ie repainting/re-tile part of thefloor/repairs sometimes are not enough to be considered major, so you it is not sufficient for a luck change. You may need to like have at least 3 major celebrations in the house after these work or at least after symbolic repainting of the entire roof in a go. If you do this, you can symbolically fly the house over to the next period. However, it will take a longer time (about year)for the house luck to change over. This is the best way to have a symbolic luck change, however it will take a longer time for luck to change over then an major renovation. Hope that helps. 5. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In the Personal Element report, when you say Clothes/Personal Objects colors, what do you mean by personal objects? For example, I am strong Earth, year Fire Horse. My favorable objects and colors are metal, wood, white, gold, green brown. My unfavorable are fire, earth, red, yellow. Does that mean I should avoid these colors when buying clothes? Yes, the more your clothings is made up of your favourable colours, it means that when you wear these colours, your luck will be improved. Just like if metal/wood is your favourable element. This means white/gold/green/brown is good for you. If you wear more of these colours, you will be adding elements you lack, thus boosting your luck when you walk/go to work. If you drive a car that is of these colours, you will improve your luck when you drive. If you have your room decor in these colours, you will improve your luck when you use the room. The more areas in your life that is favourable to you, the better your luck colours is more common and easy way to relate you environment to you. There are many others such as having a favourable career/favourable house etc. For more details, you can refer to this link:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Those hardest to correct as a suitable home or career brings you the greatest amount of luck influence, then just the colours of your clothes. So colours of clothese are one area but as it as easiest to change you can't expect it to bring you the greatest amount of luck. Compared to the house you stay or the career element you work in. Generally, the more areas with element in your favour, the better your luck. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  6. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it a bad fengshui if one put a central air condition unit outside the house on the "Excellent, south west corner" under the 8 house direction? If is it what is the cure for it? because latelymy husband's haven't work as much as before the unit was install and there seemto be a lots of personal trouble at work like gossips. Also we are planning to put an aquarium in the west side(health) in our house which is the back of the house is this a good location?. My kua # is 1 and dh is 2. Actually, air condition is to help cool the room. So whether it is a split/central air conditionit does not really create any feng shui problems. The only issue about air condition is that you want to avoid placing it where it blows directly at you when you sleep. Otherwise, you may fall ill due to catching cold. Otherwise, that should not be the cause of the problem you mentioned. It is more likely that there are other things causing the troubles you have. Such as the changes in theflying star. Most likely it has to do with some uncontrolled star 3 somewhere in your working sector or your bedroom. As for the placement of aquariaum. We do not use the eight house for determing that placement. You should instead find where is your wealth sector of the house based on your flying star. ie if you are staying in a period 8 house for example, then water star 8 is your current wealth sector. So it is auspicious to place the water feature in that sector so as to benefit from it. That is the only place or sector in the house that you will benefit from water feature. Placing the water feature based on your eight house does not really help you. In fact, if you place it in the sector where water is not beneficial, you can actually drown your wealth. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hope to get help which color is better, thanks alot! You can make use of the free ba zi report to determine what is your favourable colour:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm After checking that, ensure that the colours you select do not activate the bad stars in the sector. You can use the free flying star chart in the member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Remember never usebright red (fire) or bright yellow (earth) as such colourscan activate the bad stars in the sector if you do not check the flying star sector of the house you intend to paint. Cream or white colour (Metal) are neutral colours which are neutral colours that is good as the base colour for the house. As long as you choose off-white colours or light pastel colours, most sector should be ok to use. Purple is made up of typically red/blue. Depending on whether it is more red (fire) or blue (water). So if it more red then you must be more careful as it is more fire element. If it is more blue then it is more water element. So check if the colour is favourable to your ba zi. Avoid the reddish purple colour if you are not sure. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  8. Dear Bradley Hope, Bradley Hope wrote: Can some one please explain the Flying Star chart to me. Flying Star is the use of numerology to assess the luck of the house. It is made up of numbers 1 to 9. Depending on how the number interacts with each other, you get different analysis or interpretations. Each sector is usually made up of 3 basic numbers (ie. 8-4-3). Where 8 is the mountain star, 4 is the base star, 3 is the water star.Together it will allow a practitioner to understand and assess the Qi of the house. It is not easy forone to explainhowyou can read it if you have no ideathe basics about the flying star. However,in ourmember areado provide the freeflying star chart for users to make use of. Basically, it is already colour coded. ie 5 for example is the misfortune star which is red for inauspicious. 8 for example iscurrent wealth for period 8 house so it is blue for auspicious. So based on the colour of the numbers in our report, you will already be able to tell more or less which are the problem sectors. Most sectors such as 2/5 may require cures such as Metal influence to help balance the sector. So best to keep those sector white/gold which represents metal. The numbers most are often interested are the current wealth or future wealth. For a period 8 house (2003-2024), therefore numbers such as 8 is your current wealth, and 9 is your future wealth. So these are the stars you want to look out for when you want to activate the auspicious sector. Beyond, that if you really want to understand the chart then you need a professional to explain it in detail to you or have to learn more about the flying star feng shui. 9. DearPui Yong, Cheong Pui Yong wrote: Is it suitable to have wealth tree and lotus flower picture in the bedroom? I also have an airport for boiling water in the bedroom because I am living in an one room place Thanks for any advise! A) Actually, it is bad to have plants or tress in the room for two reasons:- 1) The room should be yin for resting. Plants are considered yang, so it is bad to have them in the room. 2)The 2nd reasonis plants will produce oxygen in the day, but at night they will also fight with you for oxygen. Thus, both the plants and yourself will be fighting for the same amount of oxygen. This is why it is not good to place plants in the bedroom. It is ok, to have plants at the bedroom balcony/window. B) As for the airport for boiling water. This should still be ok. I mean sometimes in the room or study you want to drink water, so you place a cup or even a themos in the room. So this airport only resembles that. Which is perfectly acceptable. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  10. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My parents are unsure of my time of birth though it is stated in my birth certificate. My mother felt that I should be borned on the day but the birth certificate indicated night. Will I still be able to get advice on feng shui on my place if this information is lacking. It is best you leave the time unknown, if youare not sure, or cannot be sure which 2 hour time range your time of birth falls under. The ba zi without the time of birth will more or less give you the overall influence of the person born within the day itself. Only a few hours will alter the percentage of the five element and very few will have a different birth strength (ie weak/strong element). So the best way is to check the date of birth without the hour, then check it again with the timing as of your birth certificate. If there isn't that great a difference, then your chart won't change too much. But again where not sure, best to leave unknown. Leaving the time unknown will still give a fairly accurateassessment. 11. Dear Amy, Amy Lee wrote: I am considering starting a new business. Would it be helpful to use a business name that complements my BaZi? I am a strong yin fire who needs more water and earth. Metal is my wealth element. To a small extend the name that complements your bazi will certainly help. However, in business the business model and demand/supply for the service you offer is equally important. To add a business name with more Earth, choose an English name beginning with a, w , y, e or o. To add an English name with Water, choose an english name beginning with b, f, h, m, or p. To add an english name with Metal, choose an english name beginning with c, q, r, s, x, or z. Often there is no harm to choose the name that can fit your bazi, or even the logo design that has colour scheme/shape that is auspicious. All these will play some part in your overall success. The rest will then depend on your own hard work. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

I can't get a tree right now because it'll be cold soon and they might lose their leaves, or does it matter? Is it ok to use fake trees? Or is there any other ways than tree to help this situation? Thanks The main problem with this back door and front door is the Qi leak from the front door out to the back door. The best way is to put a partition or divider to force the Qi to flow around the house rather than just in and out. Just like this example:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-breath.htm A fake tree should be still ok or anything also can but it must create a divider so that the qi will flow around. Should i apply the dates found in the Auspicous dates finder according to the time and date of the place i am living in right now or the time and date of the place i was born in (so a day might start at 1 pm here, if it is midnight where i was born) I'm confused because all the ba zi reading and auspicous dates are connected with my date of birth, but since as i moved, the date and time of the place is different, but it doesn't mean i lived more or less than i would have lived if i stayed where i was born. Thank you Actually, the problem is that the more you want to add in the time zone or make it more accurate by factoring the location factor etc, the more complex the analysis and thus you are actually more likely to make it less accurate than without factoring all these considerations. In fact, from our experience, most of the timezone or location factors are really not necessary. Just use the normal local timezone, that will be enough. Most of the time, most ba zi analysis for example focuses more on the YEAR and MONTH pillar to come out with the forecast. Most forecast will go at most to daily forecast. Anymore and it won't be accurate or easy to forecast due to the fact that the daily and hourly changes which are always changing. In fact, when we want to choose auspicious timing, rather than look at a personal luck forecast, we often find that the more practical is to go for the auspicious sounding ie 8.38 or 8.39 or 9.38 or 9.39 etc. This are much more practical than going for thesuitable timing which may be like 3-5am etc whichis not practical for say wedding or move-in etc. Soreally, the start of the day you should just take the start ofthe day from the local time. Nomodifications needed. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

  17. Dear Ah Kyeong, Ah Kyeong wrote: Hi, I have brought my Ba Zi to a few fengshui consultants and some said I'm 'Weak Water', some 'Strong Water'... Please help to decipher the confusion... my BaZi as below... Ultimately, whether you are weak or strong depends on how detailed and well are you able to analyse the ba zi. Ba zi can be analysed in a very basic level or can be analysed in a very complex manner. The more complex the analysis, the more likely you are able to get the best deduction. Actually, if you use our website tool, you will be determined as a Strong Water whether it is based on the profile Male, 21 Feb 1976 (0443 hrs) (UnlessI guess your gender wrong as you did not include it). Anyway, the male/female profile will mainly affect the luck analysis forecast. The percentage of the elements for this date of birth will give you this percentage. 4 Weak Water 5 Strongest Wood 1 Strong Fire 0 Extremely Weak Earth 2 Weakest Metal 26% 55% 8% 0% 8% You are a strong water simply because your favourable element So once you are determined as a Strong water, the elements that are favourable to you will be your Wood/Fire/Earth. But as you have too much Wood (55%), therefore you won't benefit from having more of wood compared to Earth (0% lacking a lot) or Fire (8%). So that is why your favourable elements is Earth, followed by Fire and least by Wood. Your unfavourable elements are Metal (8%) or Water (26%), which means you are stronger because of more water than metal. So Water is element you should avoid. Metal will make you stronger but as you only have 8%, a little more when you have more Fire and Earth is perfectly ok. The goal is to have exactly 20% of each element to attain perfect balance. So that is why you are a Strong Water. Actually, our free analysis will already have determined you as that, just that it does not include all these details explaining why. So there is no need to question our free analysis as it is not limited in anyway. Remember, that ultimately, the level of details ie beyond a basic ba zi chart, ie whether the element clashes/combines/seasonal strength/total elements presentwill have an ultimate impact to deciding whether you are weak or strong. Our analysis does all these checks and compute a mathematical percentage to show you why it is so. So on our website you will be determined as a Strong water whether you use our free tools or have us evalute your chart professionally. 20. Dear Users, I noticed that recently there are many questions which revolves around these Qn: My husband and I are opposite Kua I am and East Group and my spouse is West Group Different suitable directions between family members how to apply feng shui? So I am compiling this information together to help users facing this problem to understand how to apply feng shui. A. APPLY GIVE AND TAKE APPROACH This is really a very common issue that most couples face. However, it isn't really too difficult to resolve. All you need to do is to apply the give and take solution. ie. The house must be favourable to the Breadwinner. So the breadwinner will gain luck from the house. Then the bedroom should be allocated to the spouse so that she will be able to draw luck from the bedroom. The most important is to have the breadwinner having a house suitable to him/her. The rest of the family member should just have a bedroom that is suitable for them to stay in. If you follow this rule, it shouldn't be hard apply this concept. View this link to see an example:- URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=21041&new B. DETERMINE HOUSE FACING DIRECTION 1) Remember, that the house facing direction is determined as follows:- i) For landed property (bungalow/terrace), you should take the facing of the house or property. ii) For apartments (2nd-7th level), you should just stand at the center ofyour main door looking outwards. This is the reading for your main door. iii) For apartments (8th level and up), you should take the facing from the living room/balcony facing. Just stand at your living room/balcony and take a compass reading looking outwards. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm C. APPLY EIGHT HOUSE FOR HUSBAND & WIFE Firstly, you should confirm your facing direction based on which floor or level you stay in. See above Determine House Facing Direction. Priority for the house to be suitable to the breadwinner. Then the other person to stay in a suitable bedroom. 1) For the Breadwinner (ie your spouse):- a) Should have the house in his suitable facing(avoiding Death or Disaster) b) If the house is not suitable, then at least must sleep in the most suitable bedroom. c) If both above cannot be achieved, then you can only attempt to improve your luck by making sure you correct all the feng shui leaks in your house and enhance your own ba zi luck:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net 2. For all other family members:- a) The house need not be suitable to them. All they need is to stay in the bedroom sector that is most favourable to them. If at least b), c)and d) are ok, then even if e) is in the worst position, at least it will offset the impact. D. APPLY EIGHT HOUSE FOR ALL FAMILY MEMBERS Everyone in the family will have different directions. However, what is important is that you first detemine who is the breadwinner, who is the spouse and the rest of the family. 1. The house must suit the breadwinner. The rest of the family member need not really have to be suitable to the house. 2. The master bedroom for the breadwinner should be given to the breadwinner's spouse if the two person are opposite Gua. 3. The rest of the family just needs to have a suitable bedroom for them to sleep in. 4. Each person should then be able to position their own bedroom according to the best bed position/work position/study position depending on who uses the room. 5. Colours scheme of the room should fit the single/both person using that room. Often two person will have a common element that can help improve the elements. 6. Common rooms like living room, you place furnitures that is in the best shapes and form rather than just to fit or suit any single person. As such rooms are shared between different people. E. FREE EIGHT HOUSE CALCULATORS Here is the link to the free eight house report to determine what is my favourable / unfavourable elements:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm That is about all. If you apply the above method, it should not be dificult at all to find a compromise that will work for everyone Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  21. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I heard 2 different things the first one is that i have to allign the bagua to the front door. the second is that i have to use real directions (north, southwest, etc) Which one is true? Actually, when you hang a bagua, the purpose is to help deflect the Sha Qi especially cutting into your main door or frontage. So you do not just hang it there just because someone tell you it is good. So once you understand the purpose of the bagua (ie to deflect sha qi), therefore you place it at the poition to help reflect the sha qi that is affecting you. You don't just place it at the door or at a position. You place it where it helps to delect the sha qi. ie if the sha qi is cutting at your living room window, you place the sha qi at the living room window. If the sha qi is at the main door, you place it at the main door. If you do not have a Sha Qi, then you do not need to place the bagua at all. It is that simple. Hope that helps. 22. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm setting up new biz and would like to know what color is suitable for my company logo. I'm in electrical trading & installation works. Understand yellow, grey and blue are suitable colors. Pls comment on this. Electrical Trading often deals with wires (Metal), while installation works is more Wood as it involves creating electrical setup/frame work for the house. So I have to classify your business as more Metal/Wood elements. Typically, when we want to create more suitable colours we go :- 1. Adding elements that will make the elements stronger. ie. for Metal to grow, you add Earth (yellow). For Wood to grow, you add Water (blue/black/gray). So the colours you proposed are ok. 2. The other way is to symolically create wealth. ieWealth for Metal is Wood (green), whileWealth forWood is Earth (yellow). So you go for either of these as your base colour. Then if you own the business yourself, then choose colours that will also benefit you so as to ensure you benefit from your business. ie if you are a weak wood, then water/wood colours will be more suitable for you as your company corporate colours. Another way, is to a harmonious element flow, iemetal (white/gold) -

Really better to have a rectangluar table that extends from the cupboard. 2. Also, it is often better to work on a rectangle shaped table rather than such triangle shaped table. 3. The facing direction you have indicated, means that you will be hit by the West sun light if there is no other room to shield this room. I cannot be certain because you only provided you room with the window position. So not sure whether it will be affected by the afternoon sun or not. Rooms affected by afternoon sun can be very warm and very hard for anyone to concentrate on work/study. One solution is to install heat control films, day curtain etc. 4. You should check your Eight House (4 good and 4 bad directions) to see if it is asuitable direction for you to work. Better to sit facing your good position that is not glaring. Actually, as long as your table is anchored to the wall, it should be ok. The problem is not so much you do not have any support but rather the problems I mentioned above will be the more critical issues. It is really hard to proposed any suggestion if you cannot change your layout. I have listed some of the solutions above. See if any of them help. Otherwise, beside shifting the position, not sure what else can help you here. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  24. Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'm thinking about adding a roof for the building of my business. The roof will be a metal roof painted RED. The building outside walls are a very, very light bluish white. The reason I'm thinking of having a RED roof is because fire (red roof) burns metal (white walls) to produce wealth. Is my reasoning correct? Is there anythingBAD about having a red metal roof? Your concept for the creating wealth is correct. ie Fire burn Metal = Wealth. However, it is a VERY BAD ANDNOT PRACTICALto use a Metal roof for several reasons:- 1. Metal roof will trap heat much faster than normal clay tilesor concrete roofs or glass or wooden roof. This way, heat will be transferred to the rooms below it. Similiar to like an oven. 2. Metal can expand when hot. If too much expansion occurs, the roof might pop or shift out of place or crack the side of the structure supporting the roof. 3. Metal (unless stanless steel), will also be prone to rust. The roof is supposed to shelter the house from not just sun but rain. So it is not practical to use Metal as roof. You can have the metal structure, but a complete metal roof. 4. Metal can be very noisy when raining. Imagine when it rains, you hear the echo of the rain dropinside your home like a hi-fi set on LOUD! Unless of course you like HEAVY METAL music, then it will be music to your ears *joke* So it is much more practical to use the the modern day red clay tiles, concrete or glass or wooden roof (for houses built of wood). Just as long as you choose red roof tiles or paint the roof red, it is sufficient to represent fire/metal. Hope that helps. 25. Dear Anon, Nntp Guest wrote: My living room is a west room and all walls are currently painted white. The room is too white, especially the West wall, which is the largest wall (quite large). I want to paint it and was hoping to paint it red -- is this a big no-no? What color should I use? The safest colour or most neutral colours to use is always white. This is because white is Metal. And most sectors that requirecorrection in flying star often requires theuse of Metal. So it is the safest colour to propose or suggest wheneverwe have no idea or do notwant to consider the flying stars. Bright Red(Fire) orBright Yellow (Earth) colours should always be avoid when you are unsure of the flying stars of the sector as it might activate the Illness/Misfortune Stars (stars 2/5). Green (brown), is another colour that you have to be careful as it can activate the lawsuit/quarrels stars. You have to check the flying star of the living to be able to assess this. Use the free flying star chart in our member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Other than that, most colours if you choose the very light offwhite should generally still be ok. The next thing is consider what element you belong to under your ba zi. That can help you choose a colour favourable to you, or an element that will harmonise with most of your family members. You can use this link to determin your favourable colours:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm So make use of the tools to help you make the best assessment. Without knowing the flying stars in your living room or your ba zi element, it is not right for us to just propose a colour. As it might create problems if the bad stars are activated or if the colour is unfavourable to your ba zi. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
