  1. Hi Folks, Didn't realize I was starting a debate.....I always figured that plastic plants...vines...were much different than real vines. Plastic is more for decoration, while the real thing is a living, "breathing" entity of sorts. A plastic vine to me is much like putting out a bedspread with vines drawn on it. It's pleasing to the eye, and takes the "edge" off an edge. But, it's not a plant. Never was, and never will be. It's just a pretty thing. Dear Monica & Anon, I believe anon has `read' my mind as usually the advise is not to use plants. But strangely, some of us are more `tolerant' to the use of plants even in the bedroom. For example in the case of a mirror facing the bed, I known some who do not have an `ill' effects of a mirror facing their bed while others do have some discomfort over this. I believe, human beings are diverse and certain `concepts' cannot be universally applied to everyone. Warmest Regards, Cecil 2. Select "Mailing List" from the welcome page. 3. 2. Hi Shellie, I have a sharp corner that I needed to "fix". I used a plastic vine and ran it along the entire edge. It softened the corner, and balanced the room. This might work for you. 3. Gina, I also have very incompatable stars in my marriage. My husband is wood and I am metal. We are very different in many ways. The way we handle this is to accept each other's differences and yet we stand up for our own opinions if they are worth fighting for. Pick your battles wisely. That way neither "rules" over the other. In this house he has his space and I have mine. The rooms I spend most time in are good for me, while his office is in his best location. The bedroom is also in his best location, but if he sleeps well I do too. I'm with your husband on his theory of "nature". However, there's nothing wrong with helping nature along. I use the flying star theory and decide from that what kind of house it is. It's important to know what the possibilities of a house hold before you move in. Don't let it be a house only favorable to him if you will be spending the most time in it! Balance is the key, for a good marriage as well as a happy home. Good luck! Hi, I think I am in a deep & major mix up here !!!..now, lets see.., what I've got here, but first my info: My husband (breadwinner) date of birth: 15-January-1955 at 7pm(horse) and mine is :10-May-1961-9pm(ox), our current house front door faces South, back door facing North. Based on yr (8birth) & (8type) in locating for the most suitable house directions are as follows: [15.1.55] date of birth fr 03feb1954 to 23Jan1955; male: NORTH house [10.5.61] date of birth fr 15feb1961 to 04feb1962; female: East house, of which yr 8house report reveals my husband's 8h chart as: Kan - NORTH house, among others & mine is Chen- East house. (since the report did not mention the elements, I believe that we belongs to the elements Water and wood, respectively, based on the 8Trigrams, am I right?) Okay, now lets see the section on Pillars of Destiny, here, the explanation notes says that my husband's birth element is FIRE and mine is WATER (oops! ... . fire and water! may be too much of me will kill him!? ..'oh, no,.which also means we need to be with other compatible elements around to keep our relationship going!!! sadly, the Pillar Comparison Reports agreed to our incompatibility. well, I really hope not, like my husband said, let nature takes its course and he, for one had never take FengShui seriously,.. he believes in nature! say how/what you like, he still believes-'nature'. But I am most comfortable and very happy with your free software of 'Self Evaluation Feng Shui Tools - (the results are the same with the reading from other sources ...) that is: my husband= Li-kua9-South house & Me= Chen- kua2-East house (again,no mentions of elements, 8Trigrams-my guess would be: south house element= fire and east=wood?) Considering the above elements (fire~wood), they seems to have resemble of our characters & resulting productively in many ways. am I making sense here? ! I'm really lost. Okay, seriously, what I would like to know here are how to find out the most suitable house directions / facing base on the breadwinners' birth date plus what / which element should I use for superimpose and so forth. We are in the process of moving into another house. I really hope you can assist me, and thanks. 4. Cecil, this brings up something I've been thinking about for some time. I would like to buy a fake goose...made of some sort of paper, that flies in the air with the wind, while attached to a long, tall pole like a fishing pole. I could put him very close to the front of the house where the pole wouldn't cut the door, but I'm wondering if the movement of the bird in the wind would raise the chi, slow it down, or activate anything else? I want to do this to make my house easier to find for my customers. Any thoughts? 5. Anonymous and Cecil, I'd like to add something here. If you have a fish tank against a window, it tends to bring in too much light and the water turns green very quickly. The cure for this is to be sure to use the light in the tank rarely, and put in an algae eater to eat the excess! 6. Chris and Cecil, I would have to wonder if the personality of the animal wouldn't have an effect on the chi of the home. Some animals are very docile and sweet, while others are much more active and playful. Still others should have never been allowed to become pets and belong in zoos. (or the bottom of the ocean) I've been in homes where horrible animals "ruled the roost" and the people were mere servants of the animal. I can't believe that an animal like that doesn't produce his/her own little version of sha-chi. Of course it also can be argued that the home itself can be the cause of the animal's good or bad traits. (as well as helping the person living there being such a sap for punishment) I firmly believe though that you have to be very careful what sort of personalities you allow into your home. Whether they are dogs, cats, or turtles.....they must not be allowed to change the comfort level of the home for the worse. Becoming a slave to pets is commonplace anymore. That in itself is fine as long as the pet produces good energy....but if you have a dangerous pet, or one that is an irritation to you it's best to get rid of it. Monica (companion to two cats and one dog...all behaving themselves nicely, thank you) >We have cats and I was >wondering if >pets influence the energy >flowing in >the home. > To reply: mailto:free-advice.1521@forum.geomancy.net To start new topic: mailto:free-advice@forum.geomancy.net To unsubscribe and participate only via Web Forum: 1. 8. Please pardon if this isn't the correct way (through the list) to ask this question. I'm not sure about the wording of Evelyn's question and the answer. Was her husband's business doing well because the drain was clogged? Or because she cleared it? Thanks, Monica ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Listmanager" Reply-To: "Free-Advice" To: (Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed) Subject: Re: Wish to boost my husbands luck Date: Tue, 08 Jun 1999 11:54:58 +0800 From: "Cecil Lee" This message is sent from "free-advice" Mailing List. Dear Evelyn, I am glad that your husband's business is doing very well:) Yes, there is some truth in the remedy used as this is under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui which is equally powerful and is part of the Feng Shui `package' which includes the Compass School methods i.e. Eight House and Flying Star. 9. I have been told that my spare bedroom is "bad for children". My daughter is coming to visit today and will be staying in this room. My question is this; Does "bad for children" usually mean bad for small children, or bad for the home owner's children? My daughter is 22. Many Thanks, Monica _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
