  1. Dear Cecil: Do we activate ms9 the same way as activating ms8? Thank you very much for your advice. Hoa
  2. Dear Cecil or Robert: Every sector for the 2005 flying star chart (SE3/P7) for my business has this phrase "imprisonment water star formation". This is the first time I see this and have no clue what this means. I've searched in this forum but cannot find anything. Would you please explain? Thank you very much for your advice, Hoa
  3. Dear Cecil: Thank you very much for your quick response. My understanding is to activate a water star, I can place a water feature like a water fountainat that location (that has the water star). For example, my front door has ms6, ws 8. To activate ws 8,I am placing a water fountain outside of the front door. However, if I have a ws 9, I cannot place a water fountain to activate ws 9 because it will drown my future prosperity. So my question is how do I activate ws9 if I cannot place a water feature at that location which has ws9? Should I place a big tree instead? Thank you very much for your advice. Hoa
  4. Dear Cecil or Robert: How would one activate water star 9 since 9 is fire and water would drown it? Thank you for your advice, Hoa
  5. Dear Robert: Thank you very much for the quick response. Regarding the metal cure, if I already hang a 6-coins tied with red string in the SW sector on thefirst floor, do I still need to hang another 6-coins with red string in the SW sector on the second floor (where my master bedroom is)? Thank you again for your advice, Hoa
  6. Dear Cecil: Thank you very much for your previous response. My SW/P7 sector, which is my masterbedroom, has ms4, ws1, bs4, yearly 1. The 2005 flying star chart said this is a good sector with stars 4 and 1being auspicious combinations. This confused me because I remember reading somewhere in this forum that you told someone to beconcerned about lawsuit problems if there are stars 4 and 1 in a sector. Since I'm in dispute with my homeowner association, I'm even more concerned about this combination of stars 4 and 1. My bedroom is painted beige. I'm thinking about adding a fire element, like a red comforter for my bed, to my bedroom to control star 4. Now I have water (star 1) - wood (star 4) - fire (my red comforter) - earth (the beige walls). Do you thinkthe red comforteris a good solution to control stars 4 in my bedroom? Thank you very much, Hoa Luong
  7. Dear Cecil or Robert: My house is SW2/P7. The 2005 flying star formy NE sector(living room)has ms7, ws7, bs1, yearly 7. Because of the double 7, I'm placing a cascading water fountain between the door andthe window. Is this OK? The proposed solution for bs1 vs. yearly 7 is to make use of fire to control 7. Since I already have a big fireplace in this sector. Is this enough fire to control 7? Thank you for the advice, Hoa
  8. Dear Robert: I was reading your forecast for 2005. I was born in 1956, a fire monkey, but I'm a strong water by birth element. Am I considered a strong water monkey? If I'm still considered a fire monkey, then how do I know if I'm a weak fire or strong fire monkey? Thanks a lot, Hoa Luong
  9. Dear Cecil: 1) If the wall next to the front door extends to the second floor, and this same wall becomes the wall for the bathroom on the second floor, then, is this second-floor bathroom consideredNEXT to the front door? 2) If the aboveis true (meaning the upstairs bathroom considered next to the front door), then it will "kill" a good fengshui house even if the house has excellent facing and excellent front door direction. Is this a true statement? Thank you very much as always, Hoa
  10. Dear Cecil: If the wall next to the front door extends upstairs, and this same wall becomes the wall for the bathroom on the second floor. Is this upstairs bathroomconsideredNEXT to the front door? Thank you very much, Hoa
  11. Dear Cecil: If a house is located on a corner lot on a quiet side street, is it considered bad feng shui? Thank you very much, Hoa
  12. Dear Cecil: I'm trying to determine whether my convenient store's period should be changed. It was built in period 6, but in 1998,I had the insidecompeletly renovated. The cash register location was in the center, now in the SE corner of the building. The floor was linoleum, now tiled.Thosewere the biggest changes inside. Everything else was like repainting the walls, putting up new shelves etc... However, the outside wallsand all the glass windows of the building stayed the same, and the front door is still in the same location in relation to the center of the building. But the old door which was wood and painted red was replace with more modern aluminum door. Even the outside walls and windows and main door location were not changed, would thistype ofrenovation qualify for a changefrom period 6 to period 7? Respectfully yours, Hoa
  13. Dear Cecil: I was reading your document on Auspicious steps. Does this apply to the steps in a split level home also? This home I'm looking to buy is a split level home. The main floor contains the living room, dining room and kitchen. From the main floor living room, you walk 6 steps up to the bedrooms. Also from the main floor living room, you walk 6 steps down to the family room. From the family room, you walk another 6 steps down to the basement. There are total 18steps, nolandings. Is this considered auspicious or inauspicious? Also, if it's inauspicious stairs, whatwould the cure be? Thank you very much, Hoa
  14. Dear Cecil: If a house was broken ground in 1983 but completed in 1984, is it a period 6 or period 7 house? Thank you very much as always, Hoa
  15. Dear Cecil: In thisL-shaped house, there are two center points since the house is divided into two rectangles. What would be the direction of the front door? From center point A, it's in the NE direction, but from center point B, it's in the NW direction. Thank you very much, Hoa
  16. Hi Cecil: I'm house hunting and this houseI found seems tobe aperfect house with thefront door, the master bedroom, and other parts of the house in the right direction according to the house hunting report. One thing that I'm not sure about is that the basementfloor is made of wood instead of concrete. The reason forhaving awood flooris that there might be a problem with bentonite (that causes the soil to expand due to excess moisture in the soil), so if the basement floor is concrete then it will crack when the soil expands. So the builder builds the basement floor out of wood 18 inches above the soil with ventilation underneath to get the moisture and radon out. The basement foundation walls are stillmade out of concrete. Would this still qualify for a solid stable foundation for the house even though the basement floor is made out of wood? Thankyou very much, Hoa
  17. Hi Cecil: If the fireplace is located in the center of the house, is that as bad as the stove being in the center of the house? Thank you very much, Hoa
  18. Dear Cecil or Robert: I'm house hunting. The period-7 house I saw today has the front door located in the SW1sector which is my best direction according to the house hunting report (moutain 7, water 7, base 4). It has two levels. 1) The center of the house on the main floor has clear space. But right below it on the lower level is the utility room (where the hot water tank, furnace etc... are located). Is this good or bad? 2) Right below the front door is the bathroom (on the lower level). I know the bathroom above the front door is bad, but what about below the front door? Is that bad also? 3) The master bedroom is in the East sector which is my death direction according to the 8 house. If I sleep with my head facing the SW direction, would it be OK? 4) The remaing bedrooms are inthe S and SE sectorswhich are my spook and irritation directions respectively, so they are not good either. With all of the above, should I consider buying the house even ifit has the front door facing my best direction? Thank you very much as always, Hoa
  19. Hi Cecil, I've searched for house on culdesac on this website, and you said depending on where the house sits on the culdesac, it can be bad or good. I'm looking at this house on the culdesac. Everything else looks good, except that it is located on the culdesac. Attached is the drawing where it is located on the culdesac. Is this a bad location? Thank you very much as always, Hoa
  20. Dear Cecil, Thank you for responding. Here's more info: The base star is 6. The mountain star is7. The water star is 5 and the yearly star is also 5. My question is that what is the water solution when you say "use water to exhaust and weaken metal"? Thanks again, Hoa
  21. Dear Cecil, 1. I'm a fire monkey. If I move to a new house this year, would I offend the grand duke or tai sui since, according to the chinese horroscope, this yearis not going to be smooth for the monkey person? 2. Also, I'd like to add a couple of very big flower pots on the outside lot of my business. Would this offend the grand duke or tai sui? Thanks much as always, Hoa
  22. Dear Cecil, According to BOTH the "20year vs. yearly star" and "mountain vs. water star" five element analysis reports for my business (the west sector), the solution for both is to use "FIRE TO DESTROY METAL". I understand the metal cure solution is to tie 6 coins with red string. WHAT is the solution for FIRE cure? Thank you very much as always, Hoa
  23. Dear Cecil, With regards to the Center sector of my business, the 20 year vs. yearly star analysis suggests to "use metal to exhaust earth" and the mountain vs. water star analysis recommends to "use WATER to exhaust metal". 1) I know what the metal cure is, but what is the solution for a water cure? 2) Do the above solutions cancel each other out to make the sector neutral? Thank you so much, Hoa
  24. 25. Dear Cecil, First, I'm a strong water. According to the balance of my element charts, I have 7 water (70%), 3 metal (18%), 1 wood (8%), 1 earth (4%), 0 fire (0%). Fire is my wealth element and I have none of it. This is my plan to balance my elements: (in my bedroom since I spend most of my time in the bedroom when I come home from work) 1) paint the wall in my bedroom a light yellow (earth) 2) my comforter is a crimson maroon red (dark red) with gold flowers (fire) 3) I just bought new sheets and pillows for my bed. They are either maroon red (fire) or green (wood) So what do you think? Will this plan help me balance my elements? Thank you as always, Hoa
