Clothes dryer near living room

Hi Cecil
If I put a clothes dryer in my kitchen (my kitchen is near to the living room), will the feng shui be affected by the circulation of the air that come out from the dryer?

Dear Anon,
1. There should not be an issue here. Some Feng Shui practioners believe that electrical items such as washing machine or dryer that shakes should not be placed at an auspicious sector. If it is an inauspicious sector this is good.
As the shaking will drive away, the auspiciousness.
2. With the various forms of Feng Shui available, Para 1 is of secondary importance.
More importantly, if one fully understands the purpose and limitations of each Feng Shui theory or concepts, this will instead, put to good use.

PLACING WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER BESIDE EACH OTHER

For landed properties placing the washing machine and dryer side-by-side, do check that they are placed in an ergonomic manner.

If one notice carefully, often the washing machine door opens to the "left" and the dryer to the "right."

In the above example, one can see a smooth floor when someone removes the washed clothes from the washing machine and can immediately place them into the dryer.

Imagine, if they are switched. Got-it? Get-it?

Okay, this set of washing machine and dryer is meant only to be stacked.

And never placed side-by-side.

Why? Purely based on common sense…
