Dear Lynn,
To be frank, you should not be too concern of the relationship corner but
rather; the not so good news is that:
1. Toilets in the North East (Devil's front gate) and South West (Devil's
back door), would adversely affect the occupant's health. ( To read more
about devil's gate go to http://www.geomancy.net/fs/gate.htm )
2. Toilets in the centre of the house signifies the owner will lose money.
In your case, the toilet is in the South-West which will affect the health
of the household.
So in your home, priority should be given to the above then considering how
to `save' the relationship corner.
Let me explain, Toilets is considered a Yin environment. What you can
improve is essentially to make the toilets more Yang.
This includes:-
1. Where possible, the toilet wall and floor tiles should be bright
coloured.
2. The toilet should be airy and have proper ventilation and not wet and
damp all the time.
3. Where possible, include a mirror at the wash basin (this is where
condition no. 1 has been satisfied). This would create more `yang' ch'i from
`bounced' off light from opposite wall tiles.
4. Close the toilet door after each use.
Do take extra care of health in this house. Some Feng Shui practioners will
even ask you to close the toilet set cover on the toilet bowel after each
use. So far, I am not sure if this will work.. thou.... I have not
recommended this yet because closing the toilet door is considered effective
enough.
As for activating the Romance at the South West, you can do it at a micro
level e.g. in your bedroom at the South-West corner, place something
`romantic' there e.g. a picture of your loved ones etc....
Warmest Regards,
Cecil Lee

the relationship corner. What can be done to alleviate all the drains
"draining the relationship".

Dear Karen,
Yes, I suggested that the mirror should be placed above the sink i.e. wash
basin. Perhaps I would like to elaborate the reason for doing so is that if
you have an attached bathroom, it would be better to place a mirror in the
bathroom (i.e. above the sink) than to place it in the bedroom. But if your
dressing table is not facing the bed, then it is acceptable to have a mirror
on it.

Hi. You mentioned about putting a mirror at the wash basin. Where exactly
is the wash basin? Is that above the sink area? I think my bathroom is
also in the relationship corner/area.

Dear Karen,
One best test to see if a mirror is located in a good or bad location is by
sitting on the bed. If you can see your profile in the mirror either lying
down or simply setting on the bed, this is considered no good under Feng
Shui. The rationale is because, it was felt that when we sleep, our souls
leave our body and when it sees itself in a mirror, it will get a `shock'.
This view is widely held although some authors may interpret this
differently but still hold on to this concept.
In my website, I mentioned that, if you do not have a problem and can sleep
peacefully with a mirror facing you, then, go ahead but if you have restless
sleeps, perhaps, you may want to look at removing the mirror or avoid
placing one. But if you were to ask me, I still follow the above `practise'
of not having mirrors facing our bed.
For a mirror above the bed, since you can see your profile, it would be
better to follow `Feng Shui' taboo and where possible.. not have it there.
I am not sure if anyone has done a scientific survey on this FS taboo. If
there is, we can then really understand if what we are practising now is
`correct'.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

How about mirrors in bedroom? Is it good to put a big round mirror above
my bed? I think I asked this question already, but can't find the question,
so I'm asking it again.
