And the characteristic is that they are almost always installed on at the west facing side. This don’t be fooled if one goes house hunting and the owners turn on the aircon say in the afternoon. In this photo, stacks/units on the left face morning sun. Thus one do not see any of the metallic sunshades as found in units on the right. It was late afternoon and one can confirm the afternoon sun shining at the afternoon sun units on the right:- This 30 years old block of flats (see below) at Simei also has sun-shades.
