Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 5, 2000 Staff Share Posted December 5, 2000 Dear April, 1. “Five Ghosts” is a direct translation of the Mandarin term used in the Eight House Theory. 2. On this website, I refer to it as “Spook” instead, to avoid giving the wrong impression. 3. The term “Five Ghosts” can be misleading, as it doesn’t mean there are literally five ghosts haunting a person. 4. In the Eight House Theory, some common terms for unfavorable sectors include: a. death sector b. disaster sector c. irritation d. spook (which corresponds to “Five Ghosts”) 5. Among these, the death and disaster sectors are considered the most serious concerns. 6. The irritation and spook (Five Ghosts) sectors refer to minor setbacks or occasional difficulties. Many Feng Shui cures utilise " metal " element as a cure. This can be e.g. the use of color e.g. white or pastel shades, metal e.g. grandfather clock, wind chimes. 8. In Traditional Feng Shui, the Flying Star analysis is used to accurately determine the use of metal. 9. In the Flying Star analysis, it can be done i.e. 20 year flying star; Yearly flying star; Monthly flying star; Daily flying star; Hourly flying star; In minutes flying star 10. So, what you had mentioned is based on Yearly flying star. 11. For those who are new to Flying Star, please take note of the following:- 11.1 The Yearly Flying Star is often written by book authors to show the base # flying star of a year. YEARLY FLYING STAR ANALYSIS It may not be complete because it only takes into account the base number for the year. 11.2 Under Para 11.1, the about is not personalised to a person's house birth chart because it does not consider:- a. The period the house was built b. The direction of the main entrance. For e.g. 15 degrees. c. It does not analyse all three factors i.e. the base number with the moutain star # and water star #. 12. In Traditional Feng Shui, it is usually analysed in conjuction with the 20 Year Flying Star period. Where, this YEAR number is `overlapped' with the 20 Year Flying Star period to check for imbalances and if there is an imbalance caused e.g. at North sector which requires say a cure of " Fire element " at the North. But, in the Yearly Flying star, the recommendation, could instead be the use of metal, then, only after a Flying Star consultant has looked at both charts, he may advise, say using "metal" cure for that particular year at that sector instead of "fire" cure. Hope the above helps. Cecil
Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 3, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 3, 2019 Case Study: The Five (5) ghosts can also refer to the Five (5) spirits that some Chinese consider in each home:- 1. Spirit of the North, 2. Spirit of the South, 3. Spirit of the East, 4. Spirit of the West, 5. Spirit of the Centre of the home. = Total of Five (5) good spirits. Numerous coffee establishments arrange and position five teacups or, in this instance, five indistinguishable mugs. According to this definition, these entities are viewed as benevolent spirits, distinct from actual ghosts, which can encompass both benevolent and malevolent entities in reality. If observed closely, the spirits depicted in my illustration each carry a heart. This is why we frequently encounter five types of fruits, such as five oranges, five apples, and five tea cups, arranged to please these five spirits. Please note that the illustration is symbolic and does not directly correlate with precise magnetic compass readings.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 7, 2019 Staff Share Posted November 7, 2019 Case Study: This is another version of the Five "Ghosts" In Chinese mythology, the Five Mountain Emperors are revered as sacred guardians, each representing a cardinal direction and the center of China. The five peaks are Mount Song (center), Mount Tai (east), Mount Hua (west), Mount Heng (north), and Mount Heng (south). These mountains have long been celebrated not only for their geographical prominence but also for their spiritual significance; they are believed to connect heaven and earth, acting as bridges between the human realm and celestial forces. Historically, the worship of the Five Mountain Emperors was deeply integrated into Chinese religious and imperial practices. Emperors and commoners alike would travel to these sacred sites to pay homage, seeking protection, blessings, and the favor of heavenly beings. Specialized temples dedicated to each emperor were constructed near these mountains. Rituals in these temples included offering sacrifices, burning incense, and conducting elaborate ceremonies throughout the year to honor the spirits of the mountains and express gratitude or request guidance. The cult of the Five Mountain Emperors was also closely linked with state power; the right to perform official sacrifices at these temples was reserved for the emperor, symbolizing his divine mandate and harmonious relationship with nature. The legacy of these traditions continues in modern times, with these mountains still regarded as pilgrimage destinations. Annual festivals and rituals persist in local culture, emphasizing the enduring respect and veneration of the Five Mountain Emperors.

And not associated with real ghosts: where in real life, there can be a mixture of both good and BAD (evil) Ghosts! If one sees clearly, these spirits in my illustration each holds a heart . LOL This is why we often see five type of fruits and often five oranges, five applies, five tea cups displayed to make these 5 spirits, happy! Note: Above is simply an illustration without really associating with the exact magnetic compass readings! It's the symbolism that is important, here. Okay, can each of us have a fizzy drink? Minastirith
Master Cecil, Especially for us living in HDB, we can’t really choose the layout of the bedrooms, living, toilets, etc. most factors affecting us to move to a certain location could be due to children’s school, work, or nearby helpful facilities. Also, spending too much on renovation to 100% suit our Bazi is not possible. As such, a lot of us have layouts that fall in the same “4 inauspicious” zones of our Bazi. Especially bedroom as a place to rest and procreate, what will you recommend as cure if bedroom falls in the 五鬼 sector? Bazi reference taken from Geomancy.net own calculator. However, a good unit also depends on where it is within the development: 2. Is your potential unit under the Good, the Bad or the Ugly? 3. Often if one is lucky, even if the unit is not so fantastic superficially. Some units are like an unpolished gem. While others unfortunately may be a hopeless rotten apple. 3.1. Just imagine, if the unit is like a 10 year old rundown 1,000 cc car. Even a good Feng Shui Master is unable to turn it into a good unit! THE KEY CONSIDERATION! By the way, (above) this falls under Habit Number 11. 4. Under Habit 1, one possibility is by ranking one's bedroom type by stack/unit: 1st choice, 2nd choice etc... Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 4, 2023 Staff Share Posted November 4, 2023 BEWARE OF THIS FENG SHUI SCAM Feng Shui suffers a bad reputation, today. Many Feng Shui Masters are a Feng Shui Store. Their core business is not authentic Feng Shui. But rather making big bucks by selling lots of useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. Please give me a good reason not to buy such products. Here's one: Okay, the above was written prior to the knowledge of COV-19. Here’s to another reason, why. Many Feng Shui Masters and their shops are FAKES! On Saturday, 14 March 2020, a WhatsApp from a past client P.S. Frankly, I was just being extremely polite. Actually if one got the hint, as the British always say just throw the "bloody" thing away!
