i wish to know what the five ghosts are and what they implicate. also, how is it figured each year where to put metal?? i do know this year it is to be in the north and as of February 4 moved to the southwest.

1. “Five Ghosts” is a direct translation of the Mandarin term used in the Eight House Theory.  
2. On this website, I refer to it as “Spook” instead, to avoid giving the wrong impression.  
3. The term “Five Ghosts” can be misleading, as it doesn’t mean there are literally five ghosts haunting a person.  
4. In the Eight House Theory, some common terms for unfavorable sectors include:  
a. death sector  
b. disaster sector  
c. irritation  
d. spook (which corresponds to “Five Ghosts”)  
5. Among these, the death and disaster sectors are considered the most serious concerns.  
6. The irritation and spook (Five Ghosts) sectors refer to minor setbacks or occasional difficulties.

12. In Traditional Feng Shui, it is usually analysed in conjuction with the 20 Year Flying Star period.
Where, this YEAR number is `overlapped' with the 20 Year Flying Star period to check for imbalances and if there is an imbalance caused e.g. at North sector which requires say a cure of " Fire element " at the North.
But, in the Yearly Flying star, the recommendation, could instead be the use of metal, then, only after a Flying Star consultant has looked at both charts, he may advise, say using "metal" cure for that particular year at that sector instead of "fire" cure.

Especially for us living in HDB, we can’t really choose the layout of the bedrooms, living, toilets, etc.  most factors affecting us to move to a certain location could be due to children’s school, work, or nearby helpful facilities. Also, spending too much on renovation to 100% suit our Bazi is not possible.  As such, a lot of us have layouts that fall in the same “4 inauspicious” zones of our Bazi.  Especially bedroom as a place to rest and procreate, what will you recommend as cure if bedroom falls in the 五鬼 sector? Bazi reference taken from Geomancy.net own calculator.
