myfs_104106
Thank you, Master Lee, especially for reminding me about the trigram data (e.g. NW = Father). Would you please clarify something for me? You wrote:"F1= N, F2 = E, F3 = S, F4 =SE. Generally, these Facing directions are a better choice (for stove placement)." Are you considering the Facing directionthe direction in which the Door of the Oven would be looking toward (thus the back of the stove would be Sitting)? The reason I ask is because in my example, NW would be the Sitting direction of the stove with the oven door looking to the SE, yet you advise that NW is not a good direction to place the stove. I'm a bit confused. What is the wisdom behind not having a stove face a sink, refrigerator or dishwasher? Am I correct in assuming that you mean that they should not be in a direct line across from each other, but that having them on opposing walls but not in a direct line is not harmful?Best Wishes, Oliv Sullivan

This should generally be where one stands at the stove (using it) looking towards e.g. NWAre you considering the Facingdirectionthe directionin which the Door of the Ovenwould be looking toward (thusthe back of the stove would beSitting)? I'm a bitconfused. For the location, there are two ways of looking at it.1. One is in a bigger picture, where possible, the stove should not be in the NW compass direction e.g. a reading taken from the centrepoint of the home. 2. It is equally nice-to-have the stove not at the NW sector of the kitchen -- if possible.3. The first point is like "must-try-not-to". While the second point (para 2) above is like "nice-not-to-have it" at that position. Quote What is the wisdom behind nothaving a stove face a sink, refrigerator or dishwasher? And a stove is like = Fire element. While a sink (with a tap) and dish washer etc... contain or have water. Thus = water element. Thus it is best not to have opposing forces facing it directly - clashing with the stove. The washing machine and sink can be on the opposite wall -- is ok so long as they are not in direct-line "facing each other". This is OK.Warmest Regards,Cecil
