myfs_102245
Dear Cecil, Please see attached for a better picture. I have a few questions that I would really appreciate if you could help. 1. Is an electric stove still considered as a fire element or is it a metal element instead? 2. Is there a problem with my sink facing the kitchen entrance (B) (where all the water pipes and stuff are situated at anyway) 3. Where should I place my microwave? 4. Are there any other problems with my layout? 5. What can I do to counter my potential problems? Thanks alot! -Amy

Is an electric stove stillconsidered as a fire elementor is it a metal elementinstead? An electric stove should still be considered as a fire element. This is because the electric coils or filament glows red hot much like a charcoal stove to conduct heat to utencils. Unlike a micro-wave oven which "radiates" heat inwards into food - meat or fish etc... Quote 2. Is there a problem with mysink facing the kitchenentrance (B) (where all thewater pipes and stuff aresituated at anyway)This is often not an issue. It would not be ideal if the stove is at this same location, and if it is facing a main door or a bedroom door. For those who keep their kitchen clean and tidy, this is also not an issue. But for those who pile up dirty dishes and often does not wash them for much of the time -- is not that good (visually). Since this is the first thing we will see in the kitchen.3. Where should I place mymicrowave?Frankly, there is no issue to place it next to the fridge or on the same area as the stove location.4. Are there any otherproblems with my layout?5. What can I do to counter mypotential problems? Thanks alot!-AmyGenerally, (without considering the compass marking within the kitchen) the layout is still acceptable. Here, it would not be that favourable for the stove to be located at the NW side of the kitchen. This is the location of "heaven" or the father of the home. And,a stove at this location suggests: fire at heaven's gate. Warmest Regards,Cecil
