If the WC sewerage drain pipe is not properly capped, this can occur. As often the contractor merely places a plastic membrane sheet and covered by a tile. Once the “u-trap” no longer hold liquid, by osmosis, the sewer smell may slowly seep out of this tile. Thus causing the stench. The disadvantage of capping is the floor may have to be raised to accommodate this plug.

Dear Toni, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed> Date: Sunday, April 11, 1999 9:05 PM Subject: Re: Yin & Yang Feng Shui Yes, I agree with you. Recently, there are quite alot of correspondence on this. I understand that it is rather confusing to follow. One minute, it is this and another minute another interpretation. Let me elaborate further:- 1. First forget what we have understood of the differences on this subject. The reason for using this model e.g. a dragon, tiger, tortise or phoenix is that it is easier to explain things using a picture or a `pi…

Dear PB, 1. A dragon year child would have to be born on or after 5 February 2000 (As this is the offical date of start of the Dragon year). Anyway, no matter how, a child conceived now would be born in the Dragon year. 2. The most common `analysis' taking the Year of Birth e.g. a dragon baby boy born on 5 February 2000 is widely used in many Chinese Astrology books. This is the same as the Western Astrolgy of classifying a person as a Gemini, Cancer, Libra etc... 3. More `serious' or indepth analysis is based on the Pillars of Destiny. This is where not only the Year of birth, but also the Month, Day and Time of birth is taken into consideration. (Time of birth can somet…

Dear Steven, 1. No, in my opinion, there should not be a slingshot effect here. I am confident of this method. 2. If one is not comfortable with it, then can use the traditional method of hanging a Ba Gua mirror. 3. The semi-circular carpet, can be added together with Para 1 also. Warmest Regards, Cecil Thank

Dear Steven, Please see below:- Here, I am referring to either using the Eight House Theory or for advanced users, their Ba Zhi i.e. if they are a weak water person than, relate it to the location e.g. North = water element (which is not favourable to the weak fire person). For example, where East is the Sickness sector (for a period 7 house). Here, if this sector is considered inauspicious, one could inadvertently bounce back twice the `bad luck'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rick, 1. Overall, what we are trying to achieve is to increase our luck. 2. Feng Shui focuses on improving our Earth Luck. 3. The Feng Shui of interiors is just one part of our total Earth Luck. 4. For example, the location and building itself can sometimes account for 30 to 50 percent of our Earth Luck. 5. In my opinion, it’s a common mistake to pay excessive attention to just one corner—like decorating a single area—when that corner may represent only 1/8 of the total 8 or 9 sectors typically analyzed. In more detailed studies, this can expand to 24 sectors and beyond. 6. It’s a bit like taking an exam. 6.1 If you’re asked to answer four questions,…

1. If you see the trunk of a tree "slicing" thru the window, it is considered a poison arrow. But if these are fine branches with or without leaves, it is a non-issue. An alternative is the placement of a convex mirror at waist level on the outside of the window. This conVEX mirror should be facing the tree trunk. 2. Sometimes, it may only be an illusion that of a tree trunk slicing towards the window. Often, if the tree (tree trunk) is on the side of the window, this is not considered a poison arrow. The tree (trunk) must be directly facing the window or tangent to it. 3. If it is the back of the staircase, it is often a non-issue. The main issue is to see the staircas…

In my opinion, having been to many new home launches, this year; frankly, I don't really have a good feel for one development: Riversound Residences at Sengkang.. My grouse is mainly on stepping onto the land and it's Shapes and Forms... I believe, the development which is surrounded by three major roads, have very few units that are "acceptable". In my opinion, the units that may be considered are those facing "inside" e.g. pool facing otherwise... hmmm...

The Georgetown Coffee House in Tampines West uses tasteful advertisements.. Here the saying goes: “Photos tells a thousand words” And literally, not a single word is ever used on this large frontage! And plus brightly lit! If one has seen other signages, must say this is not only smart, clever and clean looking.. ”Our brand + photos of our food” that’s all on the signage” Now this is advertising 101 at it’s finest!
