Thank you so much for your reply Cecil. I wanted to get a clear answer because the front door to a property is one of the most important aspects in feng-shui, and so I now assume that whenver I see a quote saying NEVER build a double door for a main entrance, that is pure nonsense. Thanks again.

Dear Anon, Frankly, this has more to do with superstitious belief than Feng Shui. In my honest opinion, I have not heard of having two or more double happiness symbol equates to more than one marriage. Hmm.. anyone care to try and say... provide us feedback in six months, a year time? *JOKE* Seriously, I am not sure that a symbol can have such a significant impact. Maybe I am wrong. Lets wait for a feedback. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cindy, Anonymous wrote: Have generated the 2006 flying star report and need advice on the following: 1. HDB main door is sw225 with ms 4, bs 4ws 1 ys 9 Cure is metal ? Double star behind andDuplicate mountain star Basically, when it says the cure is Metal, you will try if possible to related to colour scheme ie Metal = White/Gold. In most bad stars, you will find that White is the most commonly used colour that can help balance bad Wood or Earth Star. That is why it is always best to choose light and off-white colours. This is a netural colour that helps to balance the room. Double star behind simply means that there is a double current prosperity star at the …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Am in a dilemma. Is it strongly discouraged for the couple who is marrying at a later time of the year to attend the first couple's wedding so as to avoid bad luck? If a wedding has to be take place within 6-months to 1 year, then it is best that both couples do not attend each other wedding. This is to avoid either couples from any inauspicious influence. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Carlos, 1. Usually, if one does not use Feng Shui, go with one's intution. 2. Under Feng Shui, there are considerations like e.g. the compass direction of the location to consider. 3 Here, this is usually referenced with the flying star influence of a specific sector. For example, if the ktichen so happens to have bad wood #4 with say additional #1 watercoupled with the location of the kitchen at the north. Too much green (wood) would not be beneficial as water helps fuel more of bad wood. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lupi, Please see below:- Basically, Pillars of Destiny takes into account: Heavenly stems and earthly branches. For example, what is looked at is a person's Year, Month, Day and Hour of birth. In the above, each of these periods Year / Month / Day and Hour is considered a pillar each. Thus, there are 4 Pillars : Year Pillar; Month Pillar; Day Pillar and Hour Pillar. Withing each pillar, there is the earthly branch and heavenly stems. Thus this would make up `Eight Characters' or 4 pillars x 2 (1 earthly branch & 1 heavenly stem each). Pillars of Destiny takes into consideration the interaction of all eight characters. Of which, the main influence is due to: 1…

Dear Yew-Meng, In my opinion, and I believe, it is the general consensus of many Feng Shui practitioners that there is no basis in the type of concept put forth by such books. The key ingredient of Feng Shui is based on the Five Elements Concept. Even under the Flying Star or Eight House (Compass Schools) if one check with many of the more popular practitioners; many would not agree with the type of concept put forth i.e. reversal of magnetic poles. The traditional Flying Star model is a horizontal model i.e. looking 360 degrees horizontally. This traditional model has been adapted to look at flats/apartments and thus; the `Vertical Flying Star model' was born for that pu…

Dear Pam, Please refer to my previous message on this. Yes, Feng Shui does not know which is the facing direction. But rather, as mentioned in the earlier message, suppose if the living room or areas of activity are concentrated here, or there is a patio opened out from the living or even family room. These sort of activities, that make it pronounced that the home is facing the back. And where imagine, once we close the main entrance door, literally, we are not over looking this part of the home. But, concentrate our family activites at the "back". Usually, this should be planned inadvance when developing the home. But once developed and if happens that the living r…

Dear Wasis, 1. Becareful of the placement of dragon figurine or painting. 2. Check the number of claws on it. If there are five, then, it is considered very `yang'. Here, one is not familiar with the dragon (figurine or painting) - one should treat it more like `Ba Gua mirror' and not face inwards of the house. 3. In Hong Kong, it is said that it has nine dragons. Dragon landscape or dragon qi is usually coming from e.g. a hill or landscape and winding down a river or from a hill down to the `sea'. In Hong Kong, a hotel had created an opening from the back thru the glass panels into the sea. Another good example, is `The Sterling' condominium in Singapore. ( Do a search f…

Dear Ber, Apologise for the previous mail, selected a wrong encoding method. Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Monday, July 05, 1999 10:50 AM Subject: Dragon , snake and dog matching Also, when you talk about year compatibility, it only takes into account the year. 1. Salt water cure is one of the valid traditional remedies. 1.1 But, but, but................ http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=7&mid=14747&new= 2. It is just like in the past, there were only X-ray machines. 2.1 Today, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is far superior than the X-ray machines. 3. In the past, some geomancer may rely on a row of six-coins tied with a red string or a hulu or bottle gourd. But if one's bed is say directly above a stove; a relatively cheap and safe alternative is the smoke detector. 3.1. For example, the row of six-coins would simply melt in a fire; at least; the smoke detector may even "call you". Some …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello... my question is regards to the placement of dragon and tiger picture puzzle. It's me and my husband's I chinese sign. Thank you very much in advance. Actually, just treat it as a typical painting. As long as the dragon or tiger isn't to like fighting each other(which represents disharmonious - not good for relationship.)Or looking too fierce looking (which can be a sha qi).You can treat it as a normal painting and hang it where you like it just as a decorative item. If puzzle is has conflict or fierce looking meaning, then better not to display it. In feng shui, as long as the picturedoes not have any bad meaning associated when yo…

Dear Cindy, Please see below:- It is hard to figure out how to `block' this poision arrow since it looks like an "inmovable object" pointing towards your bed. Try to figure a way to block the poison arrow. I am unable to provide a remedy as it has to be `physically' neutralised (as opposed to symbolic neutralising it). The concept is that if you cannot `see it' from the position it cuts, it no longer becomes a threat. You can go to http://www.geomancy-online.com and use the Free Basic Pillars of Destiny Report to generate and find out your true element. As mentioned above, you can use the Free Basic Pillars of Destiny Report; key in your birth particulars and…

Dear Anon, Under Shapes of Form Feng Shui what is more important is that: 1. There should be clear space at the frontage of the house. (The bird or red phoenix) 2. There should be a solid backing at the back of the house i.e. tortise. These two aspects of Feng Shui are two very important factors. So which ever a house is facing where best have the above. Thus no matter if it is a `west' or other facing house; it should have the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ling Tien, 1. Under symbolism: there are different pictures or pictorals of dragons. 2. A dragon is considered a yang creature. And this implies vigour and fertility. 3. Another symbolic thing about the dragon for past Chinese emperors is that it is considered to be the son of Heaven. 4. 2. Often if we see the roof a common temple, we often see two dragons facing a pearl (please at the apex of the temple roof). Often we also see a pearl in the mouth of a dragon. 5. Here, the pearl is equvalent of thunder where the dragons is said to `swirl in the clouds' and hopefully bring rain (a crucial substance for our survival). 6. As there is no picture to refer to, I believ…

Dear Anon, Based on Shapes and Form Feng Shui, it is best to place the fountain either within or at the balcony area (of the frontage). In Flying Star Feng Shui, we usually use it to locate the water stars e.g. #1's + #7's. However, if we are not using Flying Star but basing more on `intuition' then: 1. As mentioned earlier, if you balcony `has an opening' the fountain can be located at usually the `east' side or when one is facing or looking out of the balcony, try to locate it a the `east' side wall or open space. 2. Besides the balcony, and if you have an alternative `large frontage' especially if you house is rectangular in shape, the fountain can be located again at …

Dear Diana, In my opinion, you may have to treat it more as a decorative item. Alternatively, if it is a solid object, can be used to activate the mountain star (provided it is found) under the Flying Star Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

If you see the picture of the "paranomic view" of the picture, the dragons are on a high wall facing the road/street. The dragons are no where facing inwards the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. In the picture, there are also two Lions guarding the `huge' main door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Marie, If you mean that it is displayed facing `looking' inwards of the house. It is best to avoid, having a dragon figurine facing inwards towards the interior of the house. Where possible, it should face outwards or to an opening i.e. an open window. This is applicable especially to a `five claw' dragon. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kam Wah, Since the two dragons face each other, you have to take `them' as decorative art work. It is really no harm displaying them as a centre piece. It will not affect or impact your home as: 1. It is a four claw dragon and not five claws. 2. They are not `lone' dragons which usually is used to face the main entrance door i.e. each dragon face `both' sides of the main door. As mentioned in a previous mail, dragons should face the main door or face out of the house e.g. thru a window pointed towards a sha qi. As a dragon breathes fire, it is good to destroy a metal sha qi e.g. a flag pole or a lamp post as Fire destroys metal under the Five elements concept. Warmes…
