Hi Master Lee, My bed is currently against the wall due to the rectangular shape of my room and I understand that it is not ideal as energy flows from one side only and it may impact opportunities of finding a partner as well. I am thinking of rearranging my bed and study/work desk as per the image below. However, the “beam” will be above my bed and study/work desk if I shift to the below layout. Would you recommend I stick to the current layout or shift to the potential layout? Thank you!

Dear Cecil My wife and I are in the process of buying a house which is under construction and will be completed by August, 2004. The house faces SE and there is a garage door that faces NE. Back door looks out NW and faces steep up slope. My Kua number is 2 and my wife's 6. Is this house suitable for us? we are worried because the main door is facing SE. We'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. Sincerely Mo Mo

Dear Denise, Here’s a refined version of your text: A fish tank is best placed in a "water" star position, as recommended by the Flying Star Theory. Even without a detailed Feng Shui assessment, the living room is generally a suitable location, especially where there is ample open space—this aligns well with water star principles. Ideally, position the fish tank against a wall in the living room and keep the surrounding area furnished with low furniture to maintain harmony. If the toilet already occupies a water star position, keeping the fish tank there can be acceptable, provided it is of reasonable size and fits comfortably. The key is that both you and …

Dear Charlles, Frankly, auspicious date services aren't a free service that we provide. Itit s avalue added services we provide for our fullfeng shui audit services or a paid services on its own. However, it seems that there are many users who keep posting such questions in our advise forum where we cannot reply simply because in order to check dates many additional information is required. Anyway, for the benefit of all users, I have specially created a 30-days Auspicious Date Analysis report users to check out themselves:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-dateboth.htm The only limitation is that is that it allows users to analyse only 30 days…

Dear PB, Although a kitchen has some influence over the house, the more scientific method is the use of the Flying Star Theory to check whether there are any imbalances in the house. I believe, the above is a more `fruitful' excerise. Additional analysis could include the Pillars of Destiny to analyse both parties and compare both parties and find out the binding element for both parties. It would be a better option then just simply looking at the kitchen itself. The above is my opinion. I will try to give more tips on the kitchen as soon as I can. You can find some of the `answers' on this, I believe by doing a search under this forum (Free Advice forum). Warmest Regar…

Dear Donna, 1. Please refer to my earlier message. In general green represents growth and it is one of the recommended colours. 2. However, I personall feel that Feng Shui is not a `cure' all. It helps to enhance Qi. But in terms of human behaviour and interaction, this is more towards other disciplines such as Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny). In your environment, since there are so many individuals, it is not practical to try to use Ba Zi as it involves many people and their `interaction/cross-interaction' with each other. In my opinion, this is why, we often hear that once a person gets to be 18 years or especially 21 years of age, it is pretty difficult to `change' someone…

Dear Sullivan, Apologies; what I was talking about has more to do with "openings" in a home that e.g. allow light to filter into it. Therefore, the idea is that, for example, if one side of the home is littered with lots of windows, doors, balcony, patio or sliding doors; therefore, it implies that with so many openings, there is a higher probability that this side is the facing direction. Although, a side where there is higher intensity could SEEM to be the facing side. But, often, this is not the main consideration. For example, for a bungalow that has four sides, and if the facing direction is North-South facing (e.g North - facing and South - sitting), just beca…

Dear Karen, One best test to see if a mirror is located in a good or bad location is by sitting on the bed. If you can see your profile in the mirror either lying down or simply setting on the bed, this is considered no good under Feng Shui. The rationale is because, it was felt that when we sleep, our souls leave our body and when it sees itself in a mirror, it will get a `shock'. This view is widely held although some authors may interpret this differently but still hold on to this concept. In my website, I mentioned that, if you do not have a problem and can sleep peacefully with a mirror facing you, then, go ahead but if you have restless sleeps, perhaps, you may want…

Quote: LEE JOHN wrote: I would like to seek your advise on the feng shui at Regentville condo. Dear John, In my opinion, there is nothing "fanastic" about the Regentville condo. However, each unit / apartment has to be looked at on it's own merits and also whether how well it fits the breadwinner. Overall, it was TOP in 1999. (99 years lease)And todate, it is already 6 years old. When some of the units were put on resale in 2000, price per sq foot (psf) was at a high of $621 to $528 psf. (crazy price) But now, prices have dropped to as low as $390to $450 psf. If we look at re…

Dear Mandy, Please refer to this resource on how to determine the centrepoint, etc... http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm There are many (many) Schools of Feng Shui. And your geomancy master is not wrong. In the past, ancient times, getting the main door is simple since, many of the homes / with court-yard are rectangular in shape and where the main gate facing is, the main door facing is often in the same direction. In ancient times, there is no such thing as so elaborate a building with honeycombs of various `facing' homes. Given this senario, standing at the centrepoint to the main door utilises the concept of "centre-of-gravity" and the flux a…

Hello Master, I’m considering a southwest-facing flat. In front there is a tall building with a thin vertical structure that rises above the rooftop into a triangular point. The structure is flat and thin, with its broad side facing my flat (see photo). It is a little to the side — about two units away — so I can see it from the main door, but it is not directly perpendicular. The rooftop of that building is about the same height as my unit’s floor, while the vertical structure extends taller than my flat. May I ask if this is considered good or bad feng shui? Thanks!

Hi master, may I ask if the flat I am considering that is southwest facing a tower with a triangle pointed to the sky is good or bad for me? The tower is flat and thin and facing me is the flat side. I couldn't upload pic successfully, so see pic at this link. [I have removed the link - Cecil Lee] Thank you very much in advanced!

Dear Janice, Yes, I agree with your observation. Not only is KL talking about it. Nearly every audit I do now, I would make sure that I have covered both periods! Therefore, it also affects Geomancy.net as not only we are busy but we need to do twice the work (for the same pay!) Frankly, it is good to look at both charts so that clients can or stick to the existing period. Therefore, not only is KL talking, Singapore is talking, Australia, US and nearly every one is talking about ithttp://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_smile.gif To do a symbolic flying to a new period, I hope you can do a search in this forum. I believe there are already many messages and also a c…

The Chinese luck system is based on three factors: Heaven, Earth, and Human Luck. Whether a red wallet is suitable depends on considering all three of these factors together. According to the Five Elements concept, it is generally acceptable for someone with a strong Earth element to use the color red.

Dear Anon, 1. With so much information on Feng Shui, it’s understandable that it can be overwhelming—not just because of the amount, but also due to how all the pieces fit together. 2. When applying Feng Shui, it’s best to take a holistic approach by combining effective techniques from the various schools. 3. You mentioned the Eight House and Flying Star theories. Another important consideration is the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui. 4. Most of us don’t have major problems at home or in the office. But when problems do arise, it’s important to identify and address them. For some, the goal is to enhance the space and improve health, happiness, and …

Dear Anthony, I agree with you. In a small one-room flat, there is limited scope for structural changes. In fact, for your apartment, the biggest influence comes from the block in which your flat is located. This block, therefore, has the greatest impact on your home’s Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

It is still possible. In addition try to choose an auspicious phonetic sounding timing e.g. 6.38 am or 6.39am - to fine tune further the range from 5 to 7am.

Appended by Cecil Lee - I have hidden these information: Block X, [Some Avenue] / Block X? and Block Y. "There are numerous occasions when a message was shared asking for advice that included specific Block and Street names. Later, after a response was given, the request was made to delete the message. Wherever feasible, I have taken out any identifying details. However, I will not comply with the request to erase the post." +++ Hi feng shui masters, I'm looking at a potential home at Block X, [Some Avenue] . The building is a high-rise, but as I've seen from the satellite map and taken a real picture, the access balcony (corridor) faces Block Y…

Dear Jennifer, Since the basement apartment is at the back of the home. What is the view like from this back of the house? Most likely, the facing direction of your apartment is either facing the front of the house (if it is blocked by it) then most likely it could be the back as the facing direction. Or, in your basement apartment, are there windows? In particular, if there is a window in the apartment and it has a very nice view, then, this could instead be the facing direction. In my opinion, the most misunderstood issue on the bagua mirror is that one should not simply place it. As mentioned by many western Feng Shui sites or Feng Shui shops. Many of the western …

Please refer to my very first reply. Go get yourself a geomancer to look at it. Why get a geomancer? One can't just write loads of text and hope that someone else can understand what you are saying... Frankly, your all text postings are ambigious and subject to the DANGER of mis-interpretation. Furthermore, there are no photos etc.. Thus who knows what the "buddha" statue may look like. Thus, since you are so overly concerned about the issue, go get a geomancer, please. Posting such things here in an all text format is like the BLIND, leading the BLIND.

Dear Betty, As you mentioned that you since you moved into the house, you became sick. I would suggest that you:- 1. Use the shapes and form school to check your surroundings. However, a cul de sac under Feng Shui is inauspicious. Rather, it should be the `opposite' i.e. an inverted `wok' (Chinese wok). The above is a contributing factor to your sickness. 2. However, you may want to consider using the Flying Star as this would most likely `detect' where the sickness star is in the house. This can be combined with the Eight House to get a clearer picture. Perhaps, if you have not evaluated your house, you may like to get a free Eight House report. The detailed steps is und…
