Dear Lip Seong, 1. Sorry to learn about your situation. 2. Your landed property seems to be a terrace "type of home" where qi enters from either North "backyard" area or South "frontage". 3. In general, based on my quick look at your layout plan:- As qi comes into your home from either North or South, unfortunately, under current Period 8, this North sector or the back of your home is influenced by :- MS #7 with WS #7 and Base = #3 In general, Flying star is based on qi flow and unfortunately, there are double #7 which under this current period is "theft-loss of wealth" sector influenced by bad #3 = career / romance / issues 4. Thus, to "plug this leak" coming fro…

Dear Keith, In my opinion, it "the bedroom above a garage" may not necessarily be the main cause of the problem. The rationale is that not looking at other diagnostic tools such asthe use of Flying Star Feng Shui etc... there are existing owners who do have a bedroom or even a master bedroom above a garage. Usually, the main reason why it is considered inauspicious has to do more with "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. For example, the main rationale, in addition to what you had mentioned, some people use another reasoning or both: what you had mentioned and also that in (the unlikely) event that the car at the porch catches fire, and the bedroom is directly above …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello I'm confused as to which time I'm supposed to put to calculate my ba zi chart. Are you supposed to always use Beijing, China time or do you put the time for where you born? I was born in New York, USA after 2am on March 17, 1981. Do I use that time and date, or do I have to convert it to china time and date? 1. The only true way to factor in location is to apply the long. (longitude) and lat. (latitude) of birth. However, in reality how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of birth? I mean even if you know you are born roughly in a hospital, the hospital also have different long. and lat. depending on which part of the b…

Dear Benny, 1. It is best to seek professional Feng Shui advice especially if one wants to utilise Feng Shui. 2. On a self-help basis: Usually, if possible, knowing whether one is an East or West Group can help. 3. Besides this, since the piece of land is from east to west, try to position critical areas such as bedrooms, living rooms or critical walls in any of such rooms within the "afternoon sun" or west. Imagine, working or sleeping in a west room .. especially even after 7pm if the wall of a bedroom faces the afternoon sun. It will literally soak in the heat! And subsequently release from the wall. Thus turning on a fan does not help. Unless one turns on aircon …

Dear Hazel, hazel wrote: According to the wealth report: Your true wealth sector is South-East (Prosperity). This represents Money Luck & Promotion. Is is best located at your main door, bedroom or work place. However, in my home, my kitchen and back door is located in the SE. Does this affect my Wealth? As a fresh graduate, I also have not much luck in my career, even though I did quite well in school. What can I do to improve things? Generally, there are a few wealth sectors. This was based on your eight house which means that if your house can face SE or have your bedroom in SE sector then you will benefit from such house giving you additional wealth luck fro…

Dear Robert, Thank you for your patience andprecious time in replying which I am most grateful. I am sorry that I did not realise you needed the exact Year and Hour information which I have now obtained for you - 1955 and between 3am-5am. I do understand that EARTH is present thewhole yearround and is especially influential in the 3rd month of every season. What I do not understand is why the Month Pillar branch in the 4-Pillar Chart shows WOODinstead of Earthor Water as the season of birth isWinter (Jan 25 western calendar) and not Spring. Once again thank you very much for your help which is much appreciated. Best Regards,

Dear Kim, TEO KIM ENG wrote: Can you advice me on how to find the "cai wei" in the house. Generally, the "cai wei" is always changing depending on your house luck. It changes from each 20-year Period to20-year Period and even year-to-year/month-to-month. However, we often focus on the main 20-year and yearly luck if any. The way to find it is to use the flying star chart which is available in our member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Generally, if your house is built between 2004-2023 (Period 8), then your current wealth sector is star 8, while your future star is Star 9 etc. So where there is a water star 8 that is your Zheng Cai (earned wealth), while the mou…

Glad that you enjoy the information on our website:- Gary Lim wrote: I have 1 question though. recently, i checked the Chinese Calender (Those with auspicious &inauspicious predictions) and it shows that 16th of december is a good day for shifting house. What you need to remember is that a typical chinese calendar DOES NOT personalise to any one person. So it is a general date that is supposed to be good or bad for everyone. In general, there are two ways to check an auspicious date:- 1. Just do a quick lookup in a Tung Shu or Chinese Alamac, and pick the date that is deemed aus…

Dear Master Robert Lee, Thank you for the generous reply. You mentioned about "So as long as you avoid having any major renovations in this sector or East sector of the house (which is the opposite of the location in conflict:West), then you are usually quite safe." May I know what is East conflicting with in the West? I know that 3 Killings is in the West, does this mean we can'trenovate anything that is opposite of 3 Killings? We are planning to paint the room in the South White to counter the 5 Yellows there in 2008. Thanks to your free auspicious date calculator, we will start the painting and moving of furnitures on 27 Dec, 2008 since the next few dates are ve…

But when walking along the corridor leading to the main door of the flat, can see the back of a cremetorium and a temple. However, can't really see these 2 buildings from inside the flat. Also, I would like to know if it would be a cause for concern if the masterbed room and another bedroom is rather near the corridor of the next block of flats. As I need to reply the owner soon, would appreciate a prompt reply. Generally, if you can directly see the cremetorium or temple from your house, then it will be direct major concern. Otherwise, if you cannot see it it should be ok. But on a p…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Cecil I have a one big rectangular mirror placed in my dining room. Under feng shui is it gd to place it? Generally, mirrors under feng shui can bounce double the good or bad luck depending on where it is placed. The more appropriate is to avoid:- 1. Placing mirror where it bounces the Qi out of the houses. For example if you open a door and immediately see a mirror, any good qi that is trying to enter into the house, may be bounced right out of the house. 2. Mirror must either be a single piece or 3 pieces. Never double, as when you view it is like you are being divided. Which can signify divorce. 3. Mirrors in bathrooms is or i…

Dear Anon, Most likely, your friend or friend's family don't have any elderly in need of aid such as wheelchair bound or walking stick! In addition, some elderly or even those who may have some illness such as diabetes that may need to go toilet often. Tell them to "enjoy" walking up and down the home. In addition, for us Chinese, we do cook alot : lots of wet ingredients. Tell it to us, to first bring up our marketing items.. hopefully prawns don't leak it's contents on the walkway etc... Later, need to dispose of it. Don't get me wrong, I like the "idea". But. as especially for the Chinese, many of us live with our parents, especially to look after them. Not to "…

Dear Lynn, Anonymous wrote: I am reorganizing the front entry to my house and need to move all the books. I want to move the medical reference books to a place that will not create any bad energy. Where is the best place to keep these in the house? Generally, books are simply knowledge. As long as you keep them neatly in the shelves. It won't really create bad energy even though medical is often related to yin. So just place them in the your study. If you are really so bothered by it, try to get covered bookshelf so that the books titles are out of sight (hidden inside the shelf). In feng shui, what you can no longer see will no longer becomea threat. Hope that helps. …

I wonder if I should put something on my front door to ward off any unhappy vibes from those who have passed away. But other than that, it is usually not a major concern. If the house cross faces the house, then you might have to put some mirror to reflect it away.
