Hi, I'm a yang metal female born in the fire dragon year (1976). Kua no. 9. 1. My apartement door is in the southeast, master bedroom (where I sleep is in the north)is this good for me? 2. I decorate my apartement with neutral, earth tone colors using lots of dark brown wood laminates on the wall. Is that okay? 3. I just bought a lovely big metal clock, where should I put it? 4. Which corners to strengthen/weaken for my wealth and romance luck? 5. I have a dark green waterfall painting I plan to install in the east/southeast wall and a white floral (roses)painting in the southwest wall. Bothin theliving room.Is that okay? I really appreciate your help. Thank you …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could you advice If there is an easement (Water pipe) passing next to the house is it bad for the house or people living in it. I heard some Fengshui saying that SE is a bad sleeping direction in general for all. Is this true ? If yes and my bed is actually a built in one, quite impossible to change direction, is there any way to counter act this ? In additonal, my toilet is @ the centre of the layout of my house. On the wall of the toilet facing my living room, i happen to make a wooden feature wall on it. Does it helps ? Appreciate your advise, thanks

Dear Anon, Feng Shui is about earth luck. And usually an investigation using Flying Star can help detect any issues with regards to health in one's home. The tell tale signs of health issues are especially: 1. bad star numbers e.g. #5 with /or #2 with or #9 combined or in isolation 2. These stars fall either in the bedroom or frontage of the home. For example, for wealth wise, a Period 8, SW1 has good $$ prospect. But such a home potentially has to "take-care" of health issues/problems. For example: Period 8, SW1 :- Frontage SW has M5 W8 B5 Back NE has M8 W2 B2 As the frontage and back of the home are equally important, such a home has to control in particular bad…

Dear Edwin, edwin tay wrote: i'm a buddhist and we have a buddhist altar at home. i would like to find out if there is any implications if the buddha statue has suffered defects over time, eg, cracks, discoloration and missing corners. kindly advice. thanks! Generally, any type of statue will suffer from wear and tear. As long as it is not the face, it should be ok to keep it untouch. If it is really in a very bad condition, then you should consider to check with the buddhist monks to see if they recommend to replace it or not. Usually, they will be able to advise you better and also provide the necessary ceremony to help you replace it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regard…

Dear Anon, A. In addition to Para 8, please see below:- 8) In addition, at the KITCHEN, place FA GAO x1 and ORANGES x3 on the stove. - with an ang pow with 20cents or 2 dollars or even number notes/coins will do. - Do not sweep the floor on the three days of placement. For example, if placed on Saturday, only sweep the floor after Monday i.e. from next Tuesday onwards ONLY. - After this date, all the ang pow money can be used to purchase sweets or sweet-drinks for own family consumption. B. In many instances - for homes especially many Housing Board flats that come "bare" without living room floor tiles done; i.e. only cement screeding; most likely after three days, o…

Dear Jian Rong, Yes, some Feng Shui practitioner(s) often recommend a mirror at the stove area. One commonsense approach is that this may allow the person cooking to look at his/her "blind spot" or simply: the person who cook can see who's coming into the kitchen. On the other hand, it is the FS practitioner's idea that having a mirror like you had mentioned, below could "double" the food being cooked. Another senario is often to symbollically change the direction of the stove to a direction favourable to direction favourable to the occupants. Quote: jian rong chen wrote: 1) To put a mirror at the kitchen stove. Hang at the wall where the stove is. Yes, it is qui…

Dear Master, In many fengshui books, there is always mention of pillars and its problems. But how do we define pillar? On the left of attached photo is how my office building looks externally. I have marked an arrow pointing at something which looks like a pillar. The right photo shows what is behind the circled portion of the left photo. This is essentially a corridor and my office main door is facing the said wall (the red arrow points to my main door). Hence is it harmful or harmless that my office main door is facing this piece of wall? Especially if it seems to darken my stretch of corridor? Please advise, thank you. Regards, Sean

Dear Anon, To be honest, if it cannot be physically moved, not much one can do. Under the commonsense approach to Feng Shui, just make sure that usually the sewerage pipe (which is located in the kitchen and hopefully not directly above the stove) is in good repair. The commonsense, here is that should such a pipe burst, the kitchen area, items may be contamined with bateria such as e-coli and others. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My cooking stove is immediately beneath a toilet bowl upstair. What does this imply? What are the remedies without moving the cooking stove. Also the bathroom and toilet upstair is quite busy .

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I read this article which detailed out Flying Star nos. for year 2006 (fire dog year) - as in #8 (N), #3(centre) and so on. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1. My house does not have a southwest corner. Anonymous wrote: How do i minimise the affliction? 1. For the exterior, you can create some landscaping ie stone borders to create an extension. So that when you view the house from the top it covers the missing corner. 2. If not, the alternative is to put a concave bagua that is usually used for sucking and trapping wealth for such missing corners. If possible, option 1 is better, if really no choice then the option 2 will be the only other solution to correct such a missing corners. On the interior, you can extend the missing corners by creating a mirror wall to falsely extend the missin…

Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Robert Lee wrote: To analyse the kua number without converting to the chinese calendar would be wrong. This means that say if you are born on 1 Jan 1966, your lunar is actually 10 day 12 month 1965. So your kua number must be based on 1965 and not 1966. Thanks for your kind advice. Regarding the Kua number, it seems similar to the Western numerology. E.g. 1966 = 1+9+6+6. Shouldn't we be calculating based on some Chinese year figure? Didn't I say that you must use the Lunar year in my above quote? This means you should be using 1965(the lunarbirth year)if based on my example and not the western year 1966 (rather than the western birth year…

At first we thought it could be mice, but realized they were birds. We figured they had built a nest up there and my husband wanted to get rid of it. Dear Mr. Lee, I wanted to thank you for answering some of my other questions. You've been a great help. My other dilema is the bathroom located in the center of my house on the first floor. I have read on many websites that I should put a full length mirror on the outside bathroom door, which I plan to do. But I'm a bit confused with the colors. Many websites say neverput anything red in bathrooms because it's too yang. But then I found others say if the bathroom is in the center of the house, I should paint the walls red, orplace red rugs around the toilet, andplace stones, crystals, and green bamboo plants. Right now my bathroom is just plain black and white. I have w…

Hi Cecil, I just received a land boundary/lot diagram of my new house. The land is wider in the back and makes an arrow pointed shape. I remeber reading in your resouce forum that this particular shape is inauspicious. I am attaching a picture for your reference.Theback of the houseslopes higher than the front as the housesitstowards a base of a hill, with slight elevation higher in the back. There was tremendous landscape work done to the backyard already. Any advice isgreatly appreciated. You can use my picture as an educational reference. Thanks again.
