Human or Man Luck considerations. As mentioned under Part 1: besides Feng Shui there is also the element of Human or Man Luck considerations. Human or Man Luck can simply be considered as feel good or bad about something. For example: you found that the ideal position of your bed is where your bed-head may not have a backing for your head. Just imagine, you have this "not so good feeling about it" Subsequently, you have 10 visitors e.g. family members or relatives visiting you. And if just 3 out of 10 of the visitors share similar comments; would even feel worse-off. If one is the type who easily "goes into cold sweat" or feel very uncomfortable; one would have to live w…

Dear Anon, A warm welcome to you. If you know how to use a simple graphic program to draw a simple profile of the layout plan, it is best that you post it to the conference: Conference for Attaching layout. Better still if it is a scanned image of your layout plan (not too large) in .jpg or .bmp or .gif format. In this case, I can draw the centrepoint for you and post it to this forum. Thanks in advance. (Else I will try to figure out your description.) If you like you can try out this alternative method:- Step 1: Photocopy an exact layout of your home. Step 2: Paste a copy of the photocopy of the layout plan on a cardboard. Step 3: Cut-out the outline of the house. Step …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I read this article which detailed out Flying Star nos. for year 2006 (fire dog year) - as in #8 (N), #3(centre) and so on. It went on to caution against the SE & S sectors and advised general cures for all directions, e.g. avoid red in SE, avoid metal in NW. You should always remember, any yearly analysis without considering the full flying star of the house should be treated as general advise only. As how good or bad depends on the stars interacting with the actual flying star of the house. Anonymous wrote: My question is - would not the above yearly FS nos. clash with the house period Flying stars as well as the monthly nos.? Which nos…

Dear Anon, Thanks for bring up this question. Mr Chetan is a new member to this forum. It is never my intention to propose or publicise as far as possible solutions that involve `paid reports' available in this website. Also Pillars and Five Elements are `more' advanced subjects and is more `difficult' for a new user to digest. It is also good to relook at a relationship not based on Feng Shui as most cases, it is usually communication such as `listening ear' etc.. In my opinion, I believe that Mr Chetan is new, as some users are aware, we have users who `faithfully' login everyday or had read almost all the forum messages. While there are new users. It is difficult to …

Dear Master Lee, Thanks for your clarification. It has been bothering me for the past few years. As a matter of fact, I have moved from Malaysia to HK for work and feeling settled now and have become PR (more than 7 years). Well, I am not sure if it suitable to use the word "emigrate" because the distance is not really far anyway. For the past few years, things have been "so-so" - not really bad, and not extremely good. From time to time, I will think of the statement that person made stating that my "BA ZI" will not "allow" me to stay overseas. I have been working hard and try not to relate any negative stuffs with that "statement" he made. Thanks GOD I found your web an…

Dear Anon, 1. This concept applies more to homes than to apartments. 2. If you are a worried wife, you can sigh in relief:) But there are differences in opinion here. In my opinion, it should come under Para 1. But do not add to this by placing a water position at this location within the apartment. Here, one can try and let the members here know if it is really true. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, yes, usually, in a working environment, many of us feel better if we are not isolated! That is why, open office concept was and still the most commonly thought out layout. 2. Like you have mentioned, having an office in a "crammed" tower and being isolated is never a virtue of any human beings.. other than a "prisoner" or a "hermit". 3. We can draw many comparisons to "well wishing" parents who lived in a landed property. I have encountered many cases where, the parents have a three level apartment: ground floor = living / dining / kitchen and utility; 2nd storey is the master bedroom and often two more smaller bedrooms. And often the 3rd storey is ano…

Dear Anon, The convent is considered a Yin location where e.g. a `depository' such as problems etc... This would account for some like yourself who has a dislike for the facing direction. You can for e.g. have a barrier e.g. fencing with plants to shield your home from the view of the convent. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In general, there are basically `two' screen "formats". The purpose would depend on whether one is `inviting' beneficial Qi into the house or to `screen' away sha qi such as facing a toilet door. 1. If it is to screen from a toilet door, it must cover the height of the toilet door. 2. It is to be `air tight' e.g. no holes or ventilation planes. 3. It should go down towards the floor. If a screen is used for beneficical purposes e.g. to let the qi gently flow into the house: 1. It need not be `air tight'. 2. It need not be all the way up to the ceiling or up to a specific height. It can be of `low' height is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Aloha, I have been reading your web site for over a year. Thank you for all you do to help us understand the fundamentals of feng shui. I hope my request is general enough to help many people. You stated there are many ways to change to period 8 without much hacking. Could you explain. We have a new home. West 2/3 . We could re orient to N/w1, or 2/3. I have been told and read of problems with the 7's in the flying star chart during period 8. We do not have the money for an open roof remodel as I have read is needed. Any help is appreciated. Thank You, Mr Lee for your reply. You are most helpful and yes can understand what you mean. Thanks Emily free-advice Listmanager wrote: From: Cecil Lee Dear Emily, In my opinion, we still need to use visual - sight and smell Athough smell may vary during the day and when a dumpster pass-by. But, often, one way of looking at is is a walk-thru of the neighbourhood. Such as climbing up the stairs to the unit. In many instances, both the exterior an interior should often "match". For example, if the exteriorof the home, after the upgrading looks prestine or new, but if one's interior is pretty old (worn-out) etc.. Clues can come from the toilet(s), the kitchen and the liv…

1. Missing corner(s) depending on where it is can have an impact on the Feng Shui of the home. 2. In particular, if the missing corner is at the NW sector which affects the "head-of the house". Quote: We will soon move to a new apartment with a missing corner East, facing NW 3. Not sure what you mean, but hopefully it is not para 2, above. 4. For landed property, landscaping such as from a "top-down" helicopter view, one has landscaping e.g. plants or bushes or something that forms the outline of the missing corner would be best. And at the corner, a lamp can be placed at the corner.

1. The room layout(s) : Office and Home should always be considered also, when deciding how your tables are placed. 2. For those doing business, ideally, the first choice direction should/could be your "prosperity" direction. However as I had mentioned above, the layout of the room i.e. the location of the door, windows - are also be be seriously looked, or taken into consideration. Even the postion of things like air-conditioner (in-moveable object) and any beams, any poison arrows caused by corners of filing cabinet(s) etc... 3. Since the Tai Sui will be changing in a few weeks soon, this will become a "non-issue" for your existing desk placement.

UPDATE: I recently placed a picture of some mountains and some water just outside my bedroom door and have felt much better. Coincidentally i later found out thatI have found that my room has "double facing" small tai ji in period 6 chart of house - the remedy for which (improves health) is to add a mountain (and water form) in the front of the house / room. Thanks in the mean time. :-)

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Since you sleep on the floor, it is acceptable to sleep close to the window. This is because, the lower part of the wall can be considered the near equivalent of a head rest. However, do note that it also depends on the wind conditions outside the house. If it is too windy, one may catch a cold. Sorry, can u explain further on this as I am not clear what u mean. A table would not be a good subsitute as a headrest. It would be better not to have a headrest under the conditions you mentioned. Nowadays, many people, with little knowledge or commonly, we say ` a little knowledge is a dangerous thing '. Here, one has to differenti…

Dear Cheui May, 1. 1. As you mentioned, you should use curtains on the large sliding glass back door. 2. Is there a way to place two potted plants on both sides of the steps or at the landing area? 3. Can you draw a simple sketch of the triangle-shaped area or the room you are using now? It is best if the bedroom, kitchen, and living room do not have an odd shape. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, it is at least good to hear that you are "starting" a "new" life. 2. However, whenever possible, I do hope that you do not take too much of the Chinese zodiac signs "too seriously". As I feel that too much reference, digestion of e.g. the characteristics of say a dragon, snake etc.. will make us -to-have auto-suggestion. 3. Frankly, one can never tell that the next "snake" one meets will truly be a "snake!" Maybe there is too much coincidence in your past experience in dealing with people. And broadly, any one of us can fit into easily into any of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. 4. Even in modern Singapore, many people meet each other, be it couples, bus…

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, ideally, one should not use a large cactus to neutralize the sha qi. 2. A large (indoor) plant would be a better alternative. It can also be an artificial plant. Also, on a "commonsense" approach, it would not be ideal to place a large cactus plant in a shopping complex or office as someone may accidently brush against it or their bags etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- 2. A stationary metal cure e.g. 6-coins in cases where there are a combination of bad wood plus bad earth (especially #5) may not be enough. 3. An alternative is to place the 6-coins into a glass jar (the size of a jam jar) and add a spoonful of salt. Water is filled to between 1/3 to 1/2 (of the jam jar) or covering the surface of all the 6-coins. This is one way to activate a constant flow of metal. 4. Frankly, no one can tell exactly which is better i.e. a clock pendulum or a music pendulum. As it varies with the manufacturer and size of the object. 5. A simple test is by-the-ear. So long as one can hear a distinct `tick-tock' sound in…
