Dear Toni, Presently, it is my belief that the two elements that one should be concerned are: 1. Water Water signifies "difficulty" in the I-Ching. Usually water at the centre of the house would pose a problem. 2. Fire (real fire) as in a fire place is the second thing to take note of. The second part is less of a concern than water but more study should be done on this area. Other than that, having a linen cupboard is the lesser of the two `evils'. I believe that this is of less concern. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, It is best to avoid Death / Disaster which are the worst cases. As for the ranking of Spook / Irritation, these are inauspicious. Frankly, one need not need to find a weightage of which is the worst or not too bad based on a ranking system. What matters most is to try to avoid the most inaupicious : Death / Disaster. While Spook / Irritation is considered inauspicious. Looking at it in another way, all the four auspicious sectors e.g. Prosperity, Longevity etc.. are considered auspicious. Is there a purpose to rank them? The issue here is to try to avoid " Death / Disaster " as far as possible. While Spook and Irritation ... are inauspicious. Warmest Regards, C…

Dear Eva, 1. Overall, under the Eight House concept, this would imply that this is the least suitable house for the breadwinner (your husband). In terms of degree of suitablitly, disaster and death at the main entrance is considered the least suitable house under this theory. 2. It generally implies that even if the house has excellent Feng Shui, because the house and the breadwinner's Ba Zhi does not match, overall, if the house is excellent or even if there is a `cure' if needed under Flying Star, it would be `average'. However, one must also look at the influence in the bedroom of each family members. Where possible, the bed room should be an auspicious sector and (not…

Dear Daniel, For the sitting position, the direction your (front) faces should be the `auspicious' direction. For example, if you are sitting on a table with your face facing North, and North is your excellent sector under Eight House, then this is considered `auspicious' under this theory. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If all things remain constant:- Either 1: Your daughter's ba zi does not match your mother-in-law. But I would rather suspect the "jealous" syndrome or there is a better description for this. In fact, frankly, in my opinion, it is very common for children. For example, often, we hear of one having only one child. And for the child, he/she feels that he/she is the "centre" of his/her family's entire world i.e. in terms of love, affection and "pampering" for some. But, suddenly, we are expecting another 2nd child. Perhaps, after giving birth, "less" attention or rather the 1st child felt that less attention was spent on him/her etc.... Perhaps, your mother-…

Dear Anon, Actually, when we consider luck under metaphysics (Geomancy), we should look at it from a holistic approach involving three types of luck:- Previously, I have already mentioned about three kinds of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck (known as Luck that was given to us when we are born) If we can see our Ba Zi chart, it comes under the category known as Pian Cai or "lottery or windfall" luck. Some of us are quite lucky while others do not have this type of luck at all. Worse, some of us have this luck only when we are at death bed e.g. 99 or 100 years old! 2. Earth Luck (or commonly known as Feng Shui) While some of us many not have Pian cai or lottery luck, some of u…

Dear Anon, For office, of course it will be good to have some window as it will firstly look nice and bright. But even if you do not have the window is fine especially in use as a store or warehouse. In addition, you will have a lack of nice view which can be very good impact on a client especially in a waiting or meeting room area. In addition, there will be no additional entry points for Qi to enter into the office except the main door. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, 1. The first priority on the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui i.e. the position of the bed. Some important points are: 1. The bed headrest should be against a wall for support. 2. Avoid sleeping with the legs in full view of the bedroom door. 3. Avoid the bed headrest against the window. 2. After having considered above, you can then try to personalise Feng Shui. Is the bedroom exactly at your South West compass point or can you shift it such that it is closer to another compass direction without compromising Para 1. It is best to avoid sleeping at the Southeast as this is inauspicious. If you work 10-11hours and spent less time, in the bedroom, you should …

Dear Tiong Tuan, ong tiong tuan wrote: understand that from yr website stated that 8th floor and abovewill use balcony as facing instead of building. It is best you keep to this standard. These are some considerations: 1. You wrote: The hallway door is facing my nice glass balcony one. 1.1. Without a photo, it is difficult to fully grasp this. As often, unless one is physically at the home/apartment; or at least see the layout out; 1.2. Harder here to understand what you mean. And also, how large is the "nice glass balcony" and whether you open it or slam shut it most of the time. 2. With all the haze around, one possibility could be the frontage could be "facing the street" view. 3. Other considerations include: if you always slam-shut your main door when at home; then this is highly unlikely to be your frontage.

Dear Aj, 1. There is a reference to the interpretation of colours at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/colours.htm 2. Yes, there are many `ways' Feng Shui practitioners interpret the use of colours. 3. In general, the safest colours for say a house is white. 3.1 As white represents the metal element and is usually, Metal element is predominantly used as a cure for both `bad' wood and `bad' earth elements under the Flying Star Feng Shui. 3.2 Of course colours are subjected to many many interpretations: 3.2.1 Some practitioners apply or advise colours based on `feelings'. 3.2.2 While other practitioners or usually books on Feng Shui may say that since North = Water element and Wa…

If you see the picture of the "paranomic view" of the picture, the dragons are on a high wall facing the road/street. The dragons are no where facing inwards the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. In the picture, there are also two Lions guarding the `huge' main door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cilla, Not having luck with you isn't really that bad. Except that it means that you will have to work extra harder in order to achieve any success as compared to another person with luck with him during the same period. However, ultimately, you still have to ensure that you have a good business model. As no amount of luck can help you if you do not have a good business model. Hope that helps. There is very little feng shui aspect that you can do to improve the sale of the house. Like you mentioned, the best would be to check out the best ba zi day or time, which might boost your overall luck. But ultimately, whether a potential buyer even notices that you have a house for sale depends on your real-estate agent's ability to get people to notice your unit is for sale. Ultimately, your location, priceof your home, how clean it looks etc. All these will be the determining factor f…

Dear Anon, Frankly, you are not alone. There are thousands and in-fact millions of people who bought homes prior-to or never even heard of Feng Shui. Or had bought their dream-home prior to consulting which is their suitable directions etc... In order to apply Feng Shui, it is best to go more on a holistic approach. As there are many (many variables) not just "one-wrong" point and oops! We are done for! For example, in many instances, even if a home does not suit us but some homes may have "superior" external shapes and forms. In addition, under Flying Star Feng Shui for the current period "Period 8" - in general; NE homes are suppose to or can benefit from good Feng …

Dear Andy, Generally, you can opt for: First Choice:- A. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) combination. Second Choice:- B. Metal (white / gold or silver) with Water (blue, black or grey) with Wood (Green or brown) Where: (Metal = circle, water = wavy or wood = tall and thin) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Merklein, It is a good idea to `fill' in the `missing corner'. Where possible, top down (aerial view) it should end up as a `complete' rectangle if you can. The alternative is to have a `boundary', top down again (aerial view) one can see the outline of a rectangular plot/area of the house. You can extend the living room to the `sun-room'. But make sure: 1. You should not in anyway `chop' off the head of the house (if the house has a head shaped profile). You can do any renovations on the `body' of the house. 2. The extension should not make the `head' of the house in disproportionate or the `head' of the house becomes `heavy'. The `head' refers usually to the fron…

Dear Anon, 1. It should not be a problem to keep an object in the garden or pond so long as it does not have an open mouth aimed towards the house. 2. An open mouth signifies, hunger. It would cause illness or problems for the household that it faces. 3. Where possible, the object should not be ambigious or unusal shape e.g. like a `monster' or other unknown figurine. 4. Otherwise, it is acceptable. Unless, it is again, the favourite of the four legged friends (who pass urine over it). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Daniel, 1. The original purpose of Feng Shui is to: a. neutralise Sha (bad) Qi and poison arrows and b. enhance beneficial Qi. It can be used to find good sites for a city. For example, many Chinese cities e.g. Canton and even Hong Kong has good Feng Shui. For Hong Kong, consideration was given on how the dragon moves or passes from the mountain to the sea. This is why, many buildings there have either glass openings at the centre or `holes' in some of the buildings where some of the building owners want the `Dragon Qi' to touch and pass thru. 3. Feng Shui can also be used to look at a micro level e.g. buildings, homes. Basically, it is like the food chain where th…

Dear Dave, You can try to search for : " Food and Yin and Yang" or Yin and Yang Foods...or foods that are yin and yang... As under the Chinese system as you have mentioned, food can be classified as under Hot (Yang) and Cold (Yin).... In general, chicken and pork should in my opinion, be classified as under "white meat". Nowadays, the main concern is that animals both chicken and pig (pork) may be injected with too much anti-biotics... Warmest Regards, Cecil
