Dear Cecil, Thanks for the advice on the house address. Apart from the address, could you advice the best direction for my husband and I? My husband's kua number is 7 and mine is 8. Would buying a new house (for Period 8) be best for us? Is it true (I was told) that those of us with kua number 8 will have a few great years ahead of us? What about those with kua number 7? Does it mean that they will have a few difficult years (all twenty of it) in Period 8. I'll be so grateful if you could answer my so-many questions. Thanks, Sybil

Dear Mr Lee I don't know whether I am correct or wrong. Somehow I feel that there are some inter relationship between Ba Zi, Flying Star, He tu, Luo Shu andwith Ying/Yangwhen COMBINEDcan produce another star. By the way, I understand there are : 1.Yearly purple white star flying stars table, (Nian Zi Bai lu Zhong Xing Shu Cha Biao) 2. Monthly purple white star flying stars table, (Yue Zi Bai lu Zhong Xing Shu Cha Biao) Is there such thing like Daily purple white star flying star table? Is there is, where can I find it? Take for example today, 6 april 2007. - Yearly star = 2 Black - Monthly star = 1 white - Daily Star = 5 With all these Year/Month/Day stars com…

Dear Sarah, Sarah Chew wrote: Ifmy earned income is more than my husband, am I right to say that I am the main breadwinner, if that is so. Can you advise how the house report given will affect me and my husband? Generally, the breadwinner is often the head of the house(usually the husband). In the modern society, as both(husband and wife) alsowork for income. There person who earn moreis can beconsidered the breadwinnerproviding for most of the needs of the house. Should both earn about the same or the income is not very much apart, it is best to still take the husband sinceunder theTraditional Chinese system, he is still deemed the head of the house. Dear Elena, Yes, it is very common for people to ask for their immediate office to be Feng Shui-ed. Most of the time if it is the CEO or a manager, they do have a room to themselves. Here, if it is the case, this would be `easy.' Most important thing to remember is to use the Shapes and Form School. Even if it is an individual table, one should always consider using Shapes and Form. Here, for the Manager's room, make sure that his back is facing a wall or never have the door opened to his back. He/She should also have the desk supported on one side of the wall. Next watch for poison arrows and overhead beams. Considerations such as this are the most important. Next, you …

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I just bought a used car since the price and mileageare too good. The color is silver. When the car is in the sun or in the presence of light,it shows a very, verylightgrey metallic. When the car is in the shade, it looks like agrey metallic. Is this car considered metal or waterelement? It would still be considered Metal element. Water is considered as Gray but often of a much darker tone. The greay metallic under the shade still does not qualify as a Water element. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Grateful if you can elaborate further. As my initial understanding is that the chimney should be on the side of the door? Or is it possible for the fire place to be exactly one floor upstairs just above the main entrance door? Thanks. Cecil

Dear Santosh, In my opinion, and the many audits done locally, the placement of shoe rack is only of secondary importance or really not a major issue for most of us. Although, some FS practitioners may feel that there is lots of `hipe' in wanting less clutter or felt that `bad qi' if one places shoes/sandals or shoe rack at the front main door. In Feng Shui audits mainly by professionals, assessment is usually based on using the Compass School and particuarly the Shapes and Form of the site and the home. Which is considered the `bigger' picture. Already, within these two schools of FS, there are really so much assessment to be made here. For the garbage bin, especially fo…

Dear Anon, This is generally, a very common issue between two persons. The best way you go about matching two person's eight house is to apply the give and take approach. ie. Breadwinner should have the house extremely suitable to him. This way even if the bedroom is of a lesser auspicious, the breadwinner draw luck from the house. The breadwinner's spouse should then get the better bedroom to compensate from the lack in auspicious facing of the house. This will resolve most of the such conflicts. Especially, when what is good for one is bad for the other. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, The simplest way is to get yourself an ordinary compass. Stand in the middle of the house and you can locate the true compass direction of North, South etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lyn, Under Shapes and Form Feng Shui, your house should not `sit' lower than the frontage i.e. front yard. Is it possible to reverse this? Having the house lower than the frontage can have a negative effect on the homeowners. The house is equally `entrapped'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Aimie, Proper Pillars of Destiny to obtain a person's true element i.e. weak or strong, takes much effort to calculate manually. As mentioned, in earlier postings, time is precious and I concentrate only on helping users to further interpret reports, if necessary available at www.geomancy-online.com Thus, I hope you understand, imagine if I were to do manual calculations, it may take up to two or three days just for one person. Life is short and I feel available time should be used wisely instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carrie, 1. Unfortunately, Feng Shui is not a `cure-all'. 2. Again, we come back to the fundamentals by asking three questions here: 2.1. What is the purpose (aim) of Feng Shui. 2.2. What are it's strength 2.3. What are it's weakness 3. Overall, Feng Shui is about trying to improve one's earth luck. Other Chinese divinity methods have the same objective of trying to improve one's luck. 4. For helping to sell a property - we can still " use " Feng Shui but for a different purpose. 4.1 For example, if the vacant plot of land has good Feng Shui or even if a house has good Feng Shui. 4.2 We can `try' to market it in the hope that the buyer -- may coincidentally believe …

Dear J Seco, When looking at a sector, one must not only look at just one star # but all three: Mountain #; Water # and Base (Palace) # numbers. Usually the cures for #2 is to neutralise it with simple things like 6 coins (big metal) or hulu or both. Another category star #5 or a combination of #5 with #5; #5 with #9 etc...would need constant metal to destroy it. And or the introduction of wood (green plants) to crush it. Thus, the most common constant metal are the use of wind chimes and a "tick-tock" clock such as an old grandfather chime clock. Usually these two objects can be readily purchased outside of the domain of Feng Shui shops or emporiums. Salt cure or sal…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I have encounteredproblems with roof leaking , water pipe leaking ,wiring problems andother problems which have all been fixed. Does these problems signify bad feng shui ? My neighbour does not encounter much problem with his new house. Does this mean his house is of better feng shui? To be frank, these problems are quite common and all really depends a lot on the quality of the developer of the house. I won't probably push all the problem to the fact that the house has lousy feng shui. Usually if the feng shui is really bad, then there will be other problems such as illness or constant string of other non house related issues etc. If there …

Dear Anon, 1. You can find out more about the Black Hat Sect Feng Shui from this link: http://www.loop.com/~bramble/fengshui/confess.html If you click on the above link, you will be transported Cate Bramble, Ultimate Feng Shui Resource site with an article called " Confessions of Lin Yun ". She is the strongest advocate against the practise of the Black Hat Sect. 2. An `L' shaped house does not necessary mean that it is `bad' or cause a `dilemma'. Even if both of you are `opposites'. 3. In this site, we normally leave it to the users to decide what depth or level of Feng Shui or `non-Feng Shui' they want to go into. This can range from simply applying Shapes and Form to t…

Dear Tammy, Please see below:- In fact, often, such homes that you had mentioned, ended up more like the `frontage' of the home. (And the main entrance/road) Often the worry about a water position is if (top-down) view, it seems to slice inwards or towards the home. (Much like a knife - cutting into the home). Trees / plants are acceptable, since, they often shade areas and invite: birds to the area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Quote: hi, i am currently searching for a suitable location for my outdoor wedding photo-shooting, could you advise me on whether which part of Singapore or place is the most auspicious one. Is there any things to avoid of? thank in advance. I personally, don't think you should worry about whether the location for your shoot is auspicious or not. As the location auspicious or not isn't going to affect your wedding. Probably finding a nice environment or scenery would be more important so that you have nice memory of the shot as a memory. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Andy, In the past, no one has ever heard of such a thing or even products using the Feng Shui name. For example, nowadays, many are ripping off others by using terms like "Feng Shui jewelery". It's the blackhole effect. What happens is that if we purchase such products, our pocket(s) will have a huge deep dark hole. And mostly, the seller benefits from this sale! For many Chinese, let's imagine or go back to our grand-parent's time or for many, our parents home. There are no such things prior to 1970's as Feng Shui crystals nor is it common place to find three-legged toads. In the past, it is widely common to find more popular stones such as jade and diamonds. But…

Dear Hoa Luong, Please see below:- However, in many home layouts, it is very often common to have a toilet at the second level close to the frontage. This is less important than say the toilet directly at the frontage of a home.

1. If you are a west person, when sleeping, general, head should be pointed: West, NW, NE or SW. 2. For study, please note your FACE, should face your best direction, which is e.g. NE. 3. Thus one should be aware that both are TWO different activities. For example try sleeping to study. But, unfortunately it cannot be said that someone may fall asleep while they study. For such a person, I feel that even if they face their good direction, is but a waste of time.

Dear Anon, Sorry, hope you can clarify futher as to where you had read where the phoenix and dragon are `kept' in the bedroom. So far, as I recall, I have not made the above remarks other than mention that they are symbols that some married couples use (embrodied) on their pillow covers. However, as the phoenix represents the Female and the dragon Male, they are sometimes embroided on pillow covers for `luck'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Darlyne, Yes, based on the year of birth 1974 is Tiger Wood. So if you just use a basic Year of Birth Analysis, most will determine you to be a Wood Element. For the many people born in 1974, they will not all belong to Wood element some may be a fire-wood, water-wood etc. So each day provides a different element. There is also another element based on the Eight House Gua Number which is also based on the year of birth. So these two are not very good feng shui analysis tools to determine what element you really are. The best way is to use the Ba Zi Feng Shui where it takes into account your Year, the Month, the Day and Hour of birth to give you a very accurate analy…
