In my opinion, from a Feng Shui point of view; the general consensus is that: 1. If the main entrance door is either neutral (pastel as in light colours) and another neutral colour is wood or wood tone or brown. 2. If your main door colours are of the above; then generally, it is no major issue. Also no issue are grilles that are : black + gold and silver or again light colours like cream orwhite or silver. 3. But if you door or grille have any of the primary colours: e.g. BRIGHT YELLOW, BRIGHT RED ORBLUE;then best to check out the Flying star chart numbers at that sector(main door). IN SUMMARY " From a Feng Shui perspective, a main entrance door in …

Dear Kyra, 1. In my view, when we are uncertain whether a piece of advice will be effective, it is wise to refrain from placing the object in that particular location. 2. This aligns with the commonsense principles of Feng Shui. 3. For instance, many of us have encountered the notion that having a bedroom situated above a kitchen is considered 'inauspicious.' The reasoning behind this is based on common sense. In the event of a fire in the kitchen, smoke and flames rise, which would be unfavorable, especially if a fire were to occur there. 4. Likewise, if we position a mirror, such as one made of glass or silicone, near a heat source, the glass may not…

thank youvery much for your reply. As to your question why i opt for turtle instead of fish, well, actually, previously i put gold fishes in it, more than 15. cats from our neighbors always come to our place. they can enter anytime since the front fence is an open steel fence. whithout us knowing it sometimes its been eaten. One time, we saw a bull frog. so the ending, all the fishes were gone. Also, water here in our place has a lot of chlorine. iguess its about time i buy a book on how to take care of fishes in the pond. Sad to say, i am a beginner on this. Anyway, speaking of fish,in case i put back fish on my pond, how many fish do i have to put and what kind of …

Dear Anon, It is best to look at Feng Shui in a holistic approach i.e. looking at "WEALTH" from various angles such as: 1. How good is the Shapes and Form of the home i.e. external environment, the site, the building and the home. 2. Using Compass School methods such as Flying Star and Eight House. 3. By simply focusing on a corner of the house and to assume that this corner "makes "or "breaks" our achievement of WEALTH is in my opinion, too naive a concept. In my opinion, it is more important to get more areas correct, or `score' more points or marks in all areas to make it a better home will provide more results. Furthermore, to say that a `wealth area' is at a specific…

I recently bought a Mansionette or HDB EA flat. My parent, my wife and I got different opinion of putting our altar. My altar will be custom make around 2000-2400mm wide, 2550-2600mm height and 500-600mm depth. We pray to Dua Pek gong with wen Wu Pang guan and my ancestor My parent got opinion from er ye bo to put it at the stair facing main road, east south area. My wife got opinion from her brother in law who got some knowledge of Feng Shui. He advised her to put the altar either at the wall facing balcony (north east) or window facing entrance ( south west) My thinking is to put either near stair doing a new wall facing opposite block wall (south west ) …

IN SUMMARY " Viewing a new apartment during the seven-month ghost festival might be seen as unlucky because of cultural beliefs about the spirits of the departed. It's wise to consider local traditions and feelings when scheduling such events during this time." - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net +++ Dear Jeffrey, 1. I believe there are different views on what actions to take or avoid during the 7th month. 2. The key point is to refrain from traveling or being away from home (like camping, for instance). 3. Personally, I think it's still 'acceptable' to look at a house. However, some FS professionals might not fully agree with this. Thus, we…

Dear Debrah, I remembered clearly when I was young and at that time, firecrackers were not banned in my country. Each Chinese New Year, my parents would purchase lots of fire crackers and fire works. I remembered clearly that without fail, two rows of fire crackers measuring around 15 feet were hung on each side of my home's bunglalow house. It was nice to hear the crackers go off and at the end of it, the entire compound including the badminton court was littered in red. Lovely sight. Fire crackers are meant to:- 1. Scare away " evil spirits ". 2. Red symbolises Good Luck. I guess, you can say that fire crackers are part of the " Culture " or practises rather than Feng S…

Edited by Robert: There is no promise as to whether Cecil will have time to review the condo that you have listed as he is extremely busy. Hi Cecil, I am a new member here and find this site extremely interesting. It provides a comfort zone to analyse when one faces related feng sui issues. Had read your review and some of your feedback about condominium at or around Flora Road - specifically Dahlia Park and so. Wonder if you have any review about the blocks at Estella Gardens TOP 1999, which is located at Flora Road as well. Would appreciate your view. What do you think about this Project in general? and anyparticular view on the blo…

These fan blades are sloped upwards at the tip. Most likely these fan blades take the cue from the latest air-planes that have curved tips also.

Based on the calculation of our unit number #11-469 using the unit calculator for Period 9 (2024-2043), it indicates potential misfortune and miscarriages. I am worried and feel really lost. Do you have any advice?

Dear Aileen, aileen tan wrote: After using the Free House number report provided at your website, i was rather affected by the results. I was "told" that the house number of the new flat that I had bought is unlucky. Quote: My house number is 08-222 81 Interpretation [5] & [3] - Conflict of Star 5 with Star 3. Lost of Wealth, injuries which could lead to death. Is this report 100% accurate? Does the house number really affect the feng shui of the house and the life of its owner? These are some considerations: 1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, instead of hanging mirrors and faceted crystal balls; in traditional Feng Shui; a hulu or bottle gourd is often used, instead. 2. As mentioned in many previous messages; usually; in general bad Feng Shui arise when a home has three or more major "leaks". 3. Often, although the toilet is considered as ONE major leak; often it is the combination of this leak plus two or more major leaks (or a combination of several minor leaks into one).

Dear Anon, 1. Some `Western Traditional' School of Feng Shui particularly those who practise Flying Star Theory have concern about the rotation of a metallic fan. To them, it circulates metal and their concern is that if a sector is out of balance and if metal is the catalyst, this is a `concern'. 2. In my opinion, looking at the commonsense approach to Feng Shui: Nowadays, many fans no longer have metal blades. And even if the blades are metallic does not mean that it generates `metal'. In view of the above, I personally feel that there should not be any cause for concern over the use of fans. I believe that they are a cheap and economical method of cooling a house. Th…

Hi Master Cecil, I have read quite extensively (on internet and on this forum) on position for wall clock but still have some doubts - e.g. I know it is inauspicious to put clock on top of a door but some sources say clock should NOT look inwards into bedroom while others say clock should NOT face a window etc. Can you see attached floor plan of my living room (windows facing north east direction) and let me know which position (in red) is the best to place a wall clock? A - behind dining table but may be looking inwards into the bedrooms B- beside altar but looking out to the windows C-beside a wall to kitchen Note - the position of alt…

Thanks for the quick reply master. Btw is it really necessary to bring the stove (guo huo lo)? If yes, can use the portable gas type? Is it necessary to pray to "Tu Di Gong"? 1. I was told to bring the huo lo (gas lo also can), then every household member cross over it and must not be empty handed. (if cannot be empty handed, then what must we bring exactly) 2. Once enter the house, on all the lights, aircon and fan. Open the window and boil water. 3. sorry if this sounds stupid, Must i bring my dog along for the moving in ritual since he's considered part of the family?

Dear Alice, However, it is best to have a full Feng Shui audit conducted before one knows exactly in what degree is it inauspicious. For example, the way the canal curves is a major consideration. If the canal curves and looks like a `sickle' slicing the house, this is inauspicious. It is difficult for me to fully advise you as one must be physically present to look at the `Shapes and Form' by doing an environmental scanning and using other tools and methods e.g. Flying Star, your suitability, the main entrance in relation to the breadwinner and many other considerations. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, for practical reasons, the clue here is "my resale flat will only be available in Aug 09":- Under the following conditions:- 1. If possible an chuang should only be done once. Thus if you had an chuang in a "previous" home e.g. currently staying with parents or rental, then should not be done at your "new" resale flat, again. 2. If already, pregnant or has had a child with (the same husband). Generally, there are the two considerations.
