Dear Anon, The most important thing is for the 6 rods to be all Metal, especially brass. The rest of the support is fine to be non Metal. The point is because 6 rods is Strong Metal. So it is most effective when the rod are metal. If you use like 5 rods it is Earth element. And if you use like 3/4 rods is Wood element etc. Hope that helps. Dear Cindy, Frankly, if both of you continue to have frequent quarrels, perhaps you could consider a Feng Shui audit. This is because most likely there could be some leak(s) in your home.

Sorry to trouble you again because i don't really understand what you mean by "do not face the stairs".My staircase is split into 2 - the first sectiongoes up to an empty space, then the empty space turns180? to the second section. Iam placingthe sword at this empty space, i.e. People will see the sword as they look in front when walking up or down the stairs. Is this considered facing the stairs? should this be avoided. I also read from an article that the sword should be placed in a direction to give the owner an advantage, is there any direction (e.g. North, South, East, West) the sword should or should not face? Thank you!

Dear Anon, 1. Under the Eight House Theory, to determine how suitable the house is to the breadwinner. If your mum is the breadwinner than, this house (subject to other Feng Shui theories) is said to be `suitable' for her. 2. Is the kitchen considered the back of the apartment? If it is the back of the house, it would be best for the opposite, a mound rather than a slope. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Corinne, 1. The rooster, with its distinctive red crown, could perhaps be thought off by some practitioners as belonging to the fire element. 2. Alternatively, it could also be thought off as a metal element because its sector is West or (Metal element). 3. Frankly, there is no evidence to suggest that a picture of a rooster would be effective to stop the `burring of wealth'. If you like or enjoy the picture, you may consider to place it. 4. But, some Feng Shui practitioners caution that the `rooster' symbolises `fighting cocks'. It is common even till today to see rooster matches and gambling to see which rooster wins. Some of the matches are quite cruel because th…

Dear Song Kin San, Frankly, you can choose any of the 4 good directions. It does not really matter which belongs to which direction as best or not. As long as you sit face one of your good direction, you will enjoy luck from your suitable direction. Of course, we try to assoicate which type of sector is best for which. So for bedroom or sleeping position, obviously it is best for the health or longevity. However, it won't be wrong even if you choose to have your bed facing prosperity etc. Hope that helps. If purely based on the Five elements concept, metal destroys wood to create wealth. Thus, if we consider a pilot as belonging to the wood element, then it is considered as auspicious for a strong metal person.

Dear Poh Yen Ong, Poh Yen Ong wrote: If my partner and I belong to different categories, does it mean we are not compatible? Poh Yen Ong wrote: E.g I am a "west" person and my partner is "east". Dear SL, One of the best illustrative books (with lots of pictures and well written book is by Derek Walters. Although his work is not like those by recent authors, one can flavour lots of `five element concepts' from this book if one reads careful. The ENGLISH book I mentioned is: Title: FENG SHUI Description: Perfect Placing for your happiness and prosperity by Derek Walters. Publisher: ASIAPAC Books ISBN 9971-985-21-7 In this book he has devised an English version of the Luopan where one use it to do FS audit. I highly recommend the other Book " Feng Shui Handbook " which has the essence of Five Elements. Unlike other authores he does not suggest out of the whim sugges…

Dear Bail, Thanks for the two pictures Quote: Bail Lim wrote: I just want to ask if it is good to put computer in between the two beds?below is a link of my bedroom picture. Yes, there are two issues with such an arrangement: 1. the edge of the computer tableis a form of a poison arrow aimed towards the bed. 2. usually not ideal to place an older CRT monitor next to the bed-head especially if it is turned on, when we are sleeping. Once, turned off during sleep, should not pose an issue. Quote: Another Question is that if it is good to have the kitcen stove facing the door of my bedroom? Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door is alligned with the back door and not alot of things are between them. I can't get a tree right now because it'll be cold soon and they might lose their leaves, or does it matter? Is it ok to use fake trees? Or is there any other ways than tree to help this situation? Thanks The main problem with this back door and front door is the Qi leak from the front door out to the back door. The best way is to put a partition or divider to force the Qi to flow around the house rather than just in and out. Just like this example:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-breath.htm A fake tree should be still ok or anything a…

Dear Kaushal, 1. In my opinion, there should be many qualities a good FS consultant should have. 2. I believe many of such good qualities are similar to other "professions". 3. I have to consider FS a profession because it "involves" human lifes. Although it is not in the same league as being a Doctor. But, if wrongly applied, or wrongly `worshipped' it can do harm (both physical and others). 4. Physical as it is a form of metaphysics and in some sense, it can be considered like `playing with nature' or (unnatural). It is left to each of us to decide the degree of effect it has on some of us. 5. I still clearly remember an message that was sent to the feng shui newsgroup…

I'm abit of confuse here. Generally, most will either start/open business on the 2nd day or 4th day Chinese New Year. Usually, 3rd day is always avoided as it is faithful dog day, where there are some superstitious belief. For longer rest period, it is always best to open on the 6th day for at least a few hours. After which, you can start at any day after that. So your parents is quite right. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Cente…

Dear GuanPing, Please see below:- We have divided the time such that there will not be a situation where a 2 hour time frame should not overlap another 2 hour time frame. In addition, one Chinese hour is considered 2 western hours. Thus, we would consider both you and your brother as both `WEI' because it pass the 1 pm time frame. However, it also depends on how the timing is recorderd on the birth certificate as it may not show the actual time born. Here is our opinion about twin's related chart and hour pillar:- 1. Hour pillar In our opinion, even if you ignore the hour pillar, we can still get a pretty accurate reading of your life. However, with an accurate hour p…

Dear Margie, A rectangular bedroom is good. Please see below:- You may still have the bed face the door. But avoid the `coffin position' where one's feet directly faces the bedroom door. This is where the whole body is parallel with the wall and when one enters the bedroom door, see the entire peron's feet and body in a straight line. Otherwise, it is still acceptable for the bed to be facing the bedroom door. It should be that our head should be able to look at the bedroom door and see who is coming in. Yes, you can have the dresser with mirror placed along the side of the bed. And not let it face any part of the bed. This is considered acceptable. Warmest Regar…

I also plan to discard the existing furniture. Frankly, this is not recommended. This is because most chinese believes feel that having to deal with nails or sharp tools can often lead to miscarriage. So not really a good idea for you to participate in carpentry works. 1. In Feng Shui, the kitchen belongs to the lady of the house. The corner where one choose to place a kitchen depends on each individual home. In general, the Eight House chart of the lady of the house is considered, in addition to your first few written lines where possible it should not be at NW etc... The Flying Star chart of each of one of the 15 directions also need to be considered. 2. Thus it is so easy to provide a one liner statement " which corner would you place a kitchen. " Similarly, which corner you place a toilet. The key word is " It Depends!" Quote: Anonymous wrote: I been reading all the message that is not good to have the kitchen in the NW, center…

So the more water element present in your relationship such as bedroom colour water element colours (blue/black/gray). This will help to smoothen relationship between the two of you. Hope that he…

Dear Varnie, As I do not have a good picture of how your house looks like, it is difficult to really comment on just the NorthEast. Usally, the flow of Qi is looked at from the whole house i.e. window positions, the main entrance, the back area (windows, doors) etc... This is because Qi usually has an escape point as it moves from one side to the other end. Factors including air pressure e.g. high/low pressure points especially if one is living close to the sea differs from day and night. Generally, not to sound too complicated, layout plans in relation to the windows/doors are a preferred way of looking at it. Taking into consideration other factors such as the shape / m…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there are a few ways to determine a good date:- 1. For most people using the Tong Shu helps them to generally find a good date. 2. Others based on the full moon or half moon. Normally, 1st or 15th of the month are generally considered auspicious dates. 3. More personalised analysis by considering the individual ba zi in addition to key tong shu event. Our website uses this method so it is like having a personalised forecast of best dates just for the two person being analysed. Either way, as long as you it is done properly, tends to be able to find a good date for you. I won't worry too much if you cannot change the date as you can also attempt t…

Dear Wasis, 1. In general, Feng Shui analysis of a business or office building is similar to that used for audit of the home. 2. For example, the Flying Star analysis is used to analyse the birth chart of the office. 3. Shapes and Form Feng Shui is also used in an office environment. 4. One's Personal Gua or (Ba Zhi) is also used to match the person to their office. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards, Wasis

1. In some instances, a wind chime is often recommended as a form of "moving" metal especially a 6-hollow rod windchime. (Especially if a sector has bad Flying star numbers with #5 or a combination of #5 with and/or #2 and/or #9.) 2. Sometimes, non-moving metal such as a row of six coins tied with red string is hung above the main door. It all depends on the flying star number(s) particularly the Mountain Star # and Water Star # at the main entrance. In some instances a set of six coins is enough. But in certain cases, alternative "moving metal" may be used. E.g. a common wall clock could be considered. Or those grandfather clock with brass fittings. (Of course some of t…
