Dear Jennifer, Please see below:- For the North Corner, you mentioned that there is a bad Yellow Earth. I am not sure if you have considered the other star and base number here. Assuming that by comparing all three numbers, there is indeed an imbalance, the best cure for bad Earth (yellow) and especially if other elements also feeds it, then, it would be better to use 6 coins to represent strong metal to help destroy it. Although a wind chime can do some help. (But it should not be used in conjuction with 6 coins as there may be an overal imbalance caused by the addition of the 6 coins or wind chime. Where possible the water feature should be in a `water star' positio…

Dear Deborah, It would be nice if you can draw a sketch or use a paint program to draw and save as a .jpg or .bmp or .gif:- 1. A sketch of the house (if possible, proportionate such as where is the main entrance and the T junction) and roughly can see the distance of the ancient well and how far it is to the house i.e to the right, left or centre?. Roughly how deep it is. I hope you can understand that without a clear look at the outline such as the impact on the main door, any gradient. (I hope I am not asking too much but if it is not a sketch, it can be alternatively pictures). Apologise, if I asked too much. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tim, So such sectors must be corrected to avoid any potential problems. However, for most modern house, the better cure is to ensure that the area is decorated with more Metal influence (ie white colour decor, with more metal furniture etc.) As for the illness issues, besides such cures, it may also be good to have like the modern technology an HEPA air cleaner which can help to reduce germs and further reduce illness. It is just like even if the sector is suitable for you, but the sector can still have very bad feng shui. So the bad stars still have to corrected. Hope that helps. These are some of the considerations:- 1. Feng Shui is both a "art and science". 2. Unfortunately, if you do hire a geomancer and they only thing of pushing products; then such geomancers are a "suspect". 3. Holistic Feng Shui involves: on-site viewing and understanding of the home and site. And a professional Geomancer uses many of the "tools" to check for "leaks" and also look into ways to enhance a home. 4. Feng Shui is not a cure all. In the past, I have highlighted several circumstances where Feng Shui cannot work. For example, many years back, several "Bubble Tea" sellers with just a capital of US$10,000 could open a "tea drink shop". When asked to Feng Shui their …

Dear Kaushal, #2 = earth #3 = wood In my opinion, it would not be a good idea to use water i.e. a bowl of water as water will enhance #3 or wood. My advise is to use a METAL cure. Here METAL does wonder to neutralising #2 and #3. There are many METAL cures already mentioned in this website. My `favourite' is the use of 6 metal coins. As it has few or little hiccup's associated with some other cures like wind chimes. But cures such as 6 rod hollow wind chimes (may be used) or the use of a pendulum brass/metal clock with it's tick-tock effect are acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If you are staying above ground i.e. > 3nd storey or even 2nd storey, there is little impact on you from the garden/garden fence. Since the fence is normally not enclosed or closed-up, the ventilation into the ground is still acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. If one wants to play safe, one can always readily purchase a Feng Shui ruler to try to work out favourable measurements as much as one can. 2. In most countries, the kitchen cabinet width is always 2 feet. 2 feet is an auspicious measurement. And because of our size and height, many of the height of the stove range between 34 inches to 35 inches. In fact, in the past, the stove is approximately 34 inches in height and the sink (is suppose to be higher) at

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Water need not be running underground but if it is due to leaks which causes `invisible vapours', there is some cause and concern. It is the `vapours' that one should be more concerned of. Thus vapour, either from underground or leaks that cause the ground to become damp, is said to release `vapours' although, it may not be seen by the naked eye. Apologies, I do not know of any. Yes, you can sent a scanned layout of where the dampness is. But, it may not be totally possible to see how far it spread. However, it is still best to determine where the leak occurs and if possible, seal it. If not, try to, if you can, sleep in a locati…

Dear Susan, 1. If one asks quite alot of different FS practitioners, the chances are many will say it is a (NO NO) to have a mirror face the bed. A BELIEF: 2. The reason or (BELIEF) is that because, it was felt that when we sleep, our spirits "wonder-out" of our body and it may get a shock seeing one's self in the mirror. This is the rationale why many FS practitioners way say that it is bad for a mirror to face the bed. 3. It is interesting to note the survey results in this poll section: http://www.geomancy.net/poll/poll.pl In the above link; you can look thru the results for the following poll questions: a. If your TV set is facing the bed, do you cover the screen bef…

Dear Anon, It would be OK or beneficial for bad stars to be "drowned" in a toilet. This is much better especially for stars such as #5 or multiples of it and/or #2 or #3 to land in this location. On the contrary, (INSTEAD) it would be a waste for good stars to land into such locations. For example, it would be "unfortunate" to have say a set of double 8's to land in the toilet bowl! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam Landin, Generally, a house with good/excellentshapes and form is often more important than many other analysis. But because the house is your disaster, this may signify that this house isn't the best most suitable house for you. You can counter check this with your ba zi element, ie if you are a weak wood, and this is a North facing house Water, then this house has an element that is favourable to you. Even if the North sector is disaster, this will not be that of a bad. However, if the North is disaster, and ba zi element for that North is also unfavourable, then you should totally avoid this house. As both analysis are telling you that it isn't suitable. O…

Dear Angela, Angela Le wrote: I was wonder how bad is it really to have a bathroom in the center of the house because most floor plans have bathrooms near the center of the home. Also, is it still bad to have the main entrance face a fire place even if the fireplace is at an angle. Basically, once you walk into the house you do see the fireplace, but just a side of it. Dear C C, C C wrote: In general:Is both 6th May 2006 and 12th May 2006(Vesak Day) a good day to choose to deliver my BB? If it is for a baby boy, then either 6th or 12th May will be born with a fairly good ba zi luck for the baby. Except for 12th May 9-11pm. If it is for a baby girl, then either 6th or 12th May will be born with an average baby luck for the baby. As mentioned you wanted to know in general, different hours will have different luck and some differences. So I will not be sure unless a more indepth analysis is done. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I dont have much idea of Feng shui... But my husband belives & follows it. I was stucked up at one thing whether Indoor cactus are good or bad? He says it brings bad fortune. Is it true? Plants in general is good. Especially those with flowers. Plants that have torns or sharp branches can indirectly create posion arrows (sha qi). Therefore, like your husband said, it is not as good simply because the it creates lots of torns. What you want in a home is harmony rather than conflicts. Therefore, for this reason it is not so good especially if it is the only plant around. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center …

Dear Oliv Sullivan, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Thank you so much for supplying a monthly Flying Star chart. It really helps! I have noticed that the monthly number for each direction is not different for September than it was for August. Why is that? The monthly flying star is based on the Chinese Calendar month. Dear Kaushal, 1. The color scheme may be different if there are two persons sleeping in the room. Here, it is best to use a binding element for the spouse and his/her partner. 2. However, if you are the only person occupying the room, and since you are a weak fire person: 2.1. Normally, under the Luck Pillars, it is best to check the season of influence i.e. this is a neutral period or there is a dominating element that either aids your weak fire or weaken it further. 2.2. If there is a dominating element that helps to strengthen your `weak fire' then, it would not be necessary to enhance your room e.g. with the color that aids the fire element. If on the other hand, if …

Dear Carlos, 1. Numerology can be highly subjective. 2. And it should preferably not be used in most instances. This is because even in Chinese Numeroloy, the interpretation can be pretty diverse. 3. To give you an example: Although, one constantly hear of #5 as bad or `evil' under Flying Star Feng Shui; it is specific to this domain only. 4. For example, #5 also represents the harmony of the Five elements or the Five elements concept: Water, Wood, Fire, Metal and Earth element. 4. Thus, if one asks only a person skilled in Flying Star, he/she may concur and say that anything to do with 5 or double or triple 5's are no good. 5. But on the other hand, another practitione…

Dear Anon, There are two `issues' here: 1. Usually, we do not look at your element e.g. weak fire or strong water with external water positions. 2. Priority should be given to balance the exterior of the house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, A kitchen located in the prosperity sector is ok. One need to look out instead for the following:- 1. Avoid any parts of the stove being supressed by ceiling beam above it. 2. Water pipes should not criss-cross along the stove. (It should be hidden from view). 3. For the stove; the knobs should face upwards towards the ceiling (in a neutral position) especially if the stove face `outwards' of the main entrance of the house. 4. If the kitchen is at the North sector, it is best that the stove does not face a water position. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Yes, this is one option. But from past experience, it may not be that effective especially with regards to the Flying Star Feng Shui. Since, often, the facing direction is the frontage and the sitting is directly opposite this. It has more to do with the Eight House theory. Where, we can kill two birds with one stone. For example, if the main door is at NE. Tilting it, to the favourable direction of the breadwinner is good - chiefly if we apply Eight House theory. For Flying Star Feng Shui, often, it is the location with most light or wind activity - and this is where we should determine where the "mouth" of the house is based on where the entire plot is "fac…

So sorry, this is beyond this forum. As lots of time and effort needs to determine, plot, review If Feng Shui is to be applied correctly, one has to plot the Flying Stars and try to either disarm the bad stars or enhance the sectors. For lawsuits: if one can determine correctly the bad flying star number(s) especially: #3, one can use or place a 24 hours light at that specific sector to disarm it. Thus if there are any imbalances in your home; the Flying stars are often used. Your personal kua number: has more to do with how suitable the home; namely your best directions.

I know I can notput a tree in front of the yard because it will block my main door, but should I put one anyway, but just away from the main door? Of course, if you can put a fence to help block the corner, that would be best. If not do what you can with the fence, and probably add a bagua mirror to deflect…

Dear Lakmun, 1. For a preliminary analysis, you can generate a free Eight House report at www.geomancy-online.com 2. The other alternative is to look up and get the services of a Feng Shui practitioner, to conduct a `worry' free audit. Warmest Regards, Cecil
