The bathroom in the master bedroom is in the wealth area. I'm ready to paint and wanted to paint it a light golden color. Floor is tile in tan, beige, peach tones. It gets lots of light. Now I just read that green is the color it should be painted if it is in the wealth area. HELP! Petra.

I am looking to repaint my bedroom but I'm not sure what would be a good color. I have a lot of water symbols already in my room and I wanted to paint it in a shade of blue or a purplish blue. Will it be bad to have this much water? If so, should I maybe try a green or something instead?

Dear Master Lee, I need some tips on the flat I just bought, will move in Mar 2004. 1) I'm a Kua no.7 , west group person. Yet, my front door faces East. It is the worst direction for a west group person. It is a total loss direction for a front door. Is there any remedy or cure for this? 2) The flat only have 1 entrance no other to enter and leave. There is a private lift that I share on the left of the main door looking from inside the house. I share this lift with 1 neighbour whose front door also faces my front door directly. How should I make sure good Chi and fortune comes into my house? 3) I'm also confused with 2 different fengshui application, Since …

Hi, I am a west group person, living in a east group house(Period 7), it is a bad mistake as I now understand. My front door faces SE1(Irritation sector), My number is 5. My Kitchen and Toilet are located in the West sector of the house - My bedroom on the upper floor has a bathroom attached to it, the location of the bathroom is in the west as well. I have been told that this was bad for me as my health could be affected by this. Is there anything I can do to fix this for me or is moving from the home my only option, due to budget restraints, I am not able to move out for another 2 years. Please help. Thank You for all your help provided in this wonderful site.

Dear Jen, A home is similar to an artist's canvas painting. It has a shape and form. And it is best to look at a home in it's entirety. Not just whether, there is clear-space "exactly at the centrepoint" or close-by. Equally important are the `air-flow' entry and exit points of a home e.g. the windows, doors etc... And all these should be seen in an entire picture i.e. the production of a layout plan. In my opinion, what you mentioned is like examining just the right side of a vehicle's car. Thus an incomplete picture. I hope you understand: With the incomplete picture given, I have to give you an incomplete answer: Dunno. In the future, if one is describing a person, ple…

Dear Robert, For 1st timers, it is best to go for a `pie-chart' 8 wedges method instead of the grid. If the home is rectangular, than the 9 grid, can easier be applied to. Flying star chart can be used to analyse a singular room or an entire home. Since your purpose is to analyse your own home, than, it is suggested that you try to find the `centre' of gravity of your home. And from this centrepoint, align the north-south compass direction to the template. For example, you can review the resources for the Eight House Chart or Template: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm The metholody is quite similar to the Flying star chart. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards.

Dear Master Cecil: I have taken a look at the traits of the houses that are able to suck wealth from neighbors at http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm I become very confused. It looks like an end house is in a receiving position for wealth from houses ahead of it at both sides. Are the corners of wealth-losing houses poison arrows pointing to the wealth-receiving house? Please help shedding light to my confusion. Thank you. Regards, Jen

Dear Rolando, Industry Analysis: ================== The object or item: lingerie belongs to the earth element or clothing industry. Company Analysis: ================= Core business: a. For the manufacturer If the core business is to design and launch new lingerie, this can be considered under Wood element. b. In your case, most likely, you are selling lingerie, than the core business is Marketing / Sales. Under this area, it is considered as a fire element. The type of colour or outlet would depend on the type of clientelle that you are considering. If you are selling `niche' market lingerie, targetted to the boutique style, than - it is best to discuss with your Interio…

Dear Pao Lee, Please see below:- Yes. In my opinion, it is `eternal' as long as one does not "fly" the home into a new period. Pay more attention to the main door. Where possible, the main door should NOT be moved or re-installed. Else, it will most likely mean, a failed exercise. If you can, try to get the contractor to:- 1. The living room floor tiles up to the main door, should be completed. 2. The main door, should be properly `seated' and not re-adjusted or reinstalled after lunar 2004. Frankly, it looks like an incomplete home. In my opinion, an incomplete home or one that is `not fit' to live in is considered as an uncompleted home. And may be furtile…

Dear Deborah, 1. Apologies, the `dog' thing was meant to be a *JOKE* Glad that you have well trained (civic minded)dogs:)) 2. Frankly, there is no hard and fast rule on what makes a perfect garden. 3. Most of the time, in-fact, it is what you and your family feel comfortable with. 4. From your description, you garden sounds lovely. This is already a plus point. 5. The other `secret' ingredient to a successful (area) is the sight of birds. Birds, like us, do appreciate good location. Hopefully, they are not king fishers or fish eating ones (especially if one rears koi fishes:) 6. Don't worry, so long as one has a passion of gardening or simply admiring or making effort to …

Dear Mr Ng, 1. Based on the information provided, I have prepared a Flying Star (Xuan Kong) chart for your home. 2. These are my findings: 2.1 In addition to what was mentioned earlier, the Flying Star chart for your home also shows another “leak” related to the time dimension. 2.2 Under your current Period 7 Flying Star chart, you have a mountain star #5 at the front of your home. This is associated with loss of money and misfortune. 2.3 Based on this Period 7 chart, it is not advisable to activate any water features in your living room or balcony area, as most of the recommended cures for this home are not from the water element. 3. For your hom…

Aloha, I have been reading your web site for over a year. Thank you for all you do to help us understand the fundamentals of feng shui. I hope my request is general enough to help many people. You stated there are many ways to change to period 8 without much hacking. Could you explain. We have a new home. West 2/3 . We could re orient to N/w1, or 2/3. I have been told and read of problems with the 7's in the flying star chart during period 8. We do not have the money for an open roof remodel as I have read is needed. Any help is appreciated. Dear Mandy, Please refer to this resource on how to determine the centrepoint, etc... http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm There are many (many) Schools of Feng Shui. And your geomancy master is not wrong. In the past, ancient times, getting the main door is simple since, many of the homes / with court-yard are rectangular in shape and where the main gate facing is, the main door facing is often in the same direction. In ancient times, there is no such thing as so elaborate a building with honeycombs of various `facing' homes. Given this senario, standing at the centrepoint to the main door utilises the concept of "centre-of-gravity" and the flux a…

Dear Mandy, Based on the facing direction it should be NW. And sitting direction is SE. Please use the free tools which is available in the website for finding the sleeping direction. For the stove, most practitioners often consider the female of the house - and it should preferably face her good direction. (Bearing in mind the flying star chart influence i.e. if a specific sector: some practitioners say is the North or NW, it is best to avoid the true compass directions else it may `burn' auspiciousness.). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nhan, Please see below:- For those who are not aware, the sum-of-ten is for example: mountain star #5 and base star #5. Here, these two add up to a sum-of-ten. In such a senario, if properly used, can help to enhance Man Luck (Human and Relationship and Health Luck). Could you 1) Our house is a For the effectiveness in the sum-of-ten, the most effective are: Earth shaped or rectangular shaped home or try to have your home as `rectangular' as possible. In the living / dining area if it is L shaped, try to have it as rectangular e.g. a partition or screen. 2) Our Even with a #8 mountain star at the centre: some school of thought is to have a `mountain' …

Further to what I had mentioned, since it is close to the next period, do wait for next year's analysis to see if a further set of six coins is needed. Or else, do let me know e.g. via private e-mail, what is your Flying star sector. And I can advise you to leave it on or not necessarily to place it on for the next year. Warmest Regards, Cecil
