Dear Momo, 1. If you are using the Flying Star House Number report, this is meant for apartments/flat and not landed property. 2. Usually, basing on house number may not be a good idea or a direct basis to determine how good or bad a house is. In Feng Shui, an audit based on Shapes and Forms and other Compass School methods, would be a better option to help increase or improve one's luck. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinon, as a Feng Shui practitioner and for many users, we normally categorise people who give such as advise as: similar to "the idea that you stay here, we don't" and "you own it we don't. Frankly, in my opinion, I personally find such sayings highly irresponsible. This is because, there are so wide interpretations of numerology - to some, it may seem bad numbers to others it may seem good. Often I encountered practitioners even advising their clients e.g. to close-up the entire master-bedroom toilet! Imagine, some one who just comes to the home for a few hours, provide such an advise, he/she will move on, but we are stuck with such an advise! If I…

1. I assume that you are referring to a landed property. 2. For landed property, imagine where is the road driving into your property and where is your main gate. 3. Usually is your main gate and main entrance door the same facing direction i.e. when you open your main entrance door is this the same direction as the main gate? And in addition, your living room and frontage of home is at this location. 3.1 If YES, then stand inside the house looking outwards and take a compass reading. This is your facing direction. 3.2 If NO, determine where is the frontage of your home. And take a reading from inside the home e.g. porch or patio looking outwards. 4. Obtain a layout …

Dear Marie, Frankly, for a small apartment and especially if we have lots of belongings, it is always best to keep our posessions, neat and tidy. And, I know this must be hard, but if we do have boxes or unwanted items, it is best either to neatly pack them or give them away. For a small apartment - space clearing : does help Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Greg, Certainly glad to hear from you again. 1. My advise is to `stick' to three most popular Feng Shui methods: 1.1 Shapes and Form If there is one theory which should be given priority, this is it. In my opinon, if one wants to do minimal Feng Shui and yet yield a quantum leap in `luck' this is the most important single Feng Shui theory to use. 1.2 Flying Star If we are talking about a Feng Shui practitioner and their audits, some FS practitioners with a feel for the `land' can do without this theory. But for those, who do not have a `feel' of Shapes and Form can use this to analyse a building or houses. As the calculations are "visible" to them. 1.3 Eight House …

Dear Mir Rodis, The most sensible thing to do is not to display it anymore. Try to wrap it up in a "clean" newspaper and keep-it away in a cabinet since this was a gift. Try to do it ASAP. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: my room is in the west, a little towards the north, which colour should i paint my room? Generally, in order to be able to recommend the best and most suitable colour scheme. We will need to assess your flying star chart for that sector. This way we know what element like Earth (Yellow) or Fire (red) or Wood (green/brown) to avoid. Furthermore, we also need to know your ba zi so as to know what element will best suit you. Otherwise, we can only advise on a general basis. White (Metal) is the most neutral colour that can avoid activating inauspicious stars from your flying star. Then you should based on your ba zi, if you are say a weak wood,…

Dear Pam, In Buddhism, in the past, monks used to supplement their `income' or donations to their temple by offering `readings' such as the " Three lives " or using bone divination. Here, a reading is done for one's past life, present life and future life. Where one's past has an influence on the present and perhaps the future (or roughly equating to the Krama, you had mentioned). Some of the " Three Lives " can be incorporated into another variation of Pillars of Destiny module. You have brought up an interesting issue on `Karma' and currently, in some aspects being a " bad person " has varing degrees and can also be a subjective issue. The terms of reference of Feng Sh…

Dear Sarina, Since you are refering to the Eight Associate Directions (Wealth and Marriage Sector). This is considered a static Theory, just like some of the those based on bagua (NW=Metal etc). Usually, these are placed on the least priority to focus on when trying to create a Feng Shui friendly location. Simply because they are not personalised to anyone, so it is unlikely to be of great impact to anyone. Also, usually we are more focus to try to fix problems that exists such as Sha Qi or Poison Arrow created from sharp corners of objects in the house which cuts into a person working in that area. This means that you always try to fix problems which you can see and not …

Dear Todd, Congratulations! For a newbie, you did a great job in researching and constructing a Flying Star Chart. 1. Yes, given that Grand Duke is at SW this year, it is indeed a good idea to give up on placing the tub at this sector, here. 2. At South-East sector, quickly: #1 = water #2 bad earth and #4 is wood. Quoting your research: "Lu Qi V2.3 Flying Stars of House - Metal is the cure, as it weakens the Earth and strengthens the Water of the good star 1. Possibly Wood, which fed by Water, controls the aggressive Earth of 2. But no mobile Water, that would activate the bad star 2!" Based on the Five elements concept: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5el…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I am very interested in this unit but it is almost unavoidable to give the place a fresh coat of paint, renovating the bathroom (hacking the tiles) and not to mention the possibility of knocking down a part of the kitchen wall. However, by doing that, it will bring the house number from a good period to period 8, which was interpretated as 'vomitting'. Is there a way to curb this? The house do really need some renovation. Also, is this 'vomiting' referring to physical vomiting or more than that? Thanks! The apartment number analysis is an extension of the flying star analysis to help determine between two unit number which one is more aus…

Dear Master Cecil I would like to check with you on the following: (1) It's auspicious to have double 8 at the frontage of a house, how about double 8 with base 1 at the back of the house in the living room's West sector(pls refer to flying star.jpg)? (2) What can be done to activate the double eight's potential at the back of the living room? Is installing a water fountain with spining crystal ball ideal? (3) How about mountain star 1 & mountain star 6 with base 8 at the center of the living room, how do I activate its potential? (4) Howto neutralize the negative elements in room 1 & room2? (5) Howdo wesectorize such a house as attached for your reference (sect…

Dear C VU, 1. Yes, in terms of enhancements, we often look at e.g. #mountain and #water stars 2. For example if the frontage or facing position has #7 mountain with #7 water; then since there are metal elements, "water" can be added. 3. But it is equally wrong if we ignore the base #. In addition, we also need to look at the 81 combinations of #mountain and #water stars. 4. As a recap:- 4.1 look at #mountain and #water in relation to the specific location. For example, if the back of the house or mountain side has #7 with #7, then, we must study closely whether we can activate it properly (or not). 4.2 We also need to look at #mountain vs #water vs #base number or the pal…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What cures can you suggest if the home that I would like to purchase and to bebuilt this year havebad room locations? Should I just look for another home plan?I am a North person, main door is facing North. The land and surrounding area is good. The builder's layout plan is as follows: What you need to understand that is that, there is no way you can fix a suitability issue. If a house does not fit you, then always best to look for another more suitable house. There is no way to correct this. You can attempt to improve other feng shui flaw to offset this. However, if a house does not fit you, it means you cannot get the maximum amount of luck…

Dear Mun Hon, Please see below:- 1. Most importantly, sector Feng Shui or paying homage to a sector is not a realistic way to practise Feng Shui. 2. The rationale is because it is too general to be of use for anyone. Statistically, it makes no sense to relate SW = romance sector. 3. In many of the past examples, I given such an example:- 4. Assuming that SW = romance sector, what happens if three of us are intrested in a new employee? 5. Based on the `romance sector theory' that we often read from some books, it says that we have to enhance it. 6. In my case, I place 1 rose on my SW sector. While, you have heard me doing so and decided to place 99 roses on your work …

Dear Carrie, Anonymous wrote: Can you tell me how to determine who is breadwinner in the event both husband and wife make equal money. Generally, feng shui is created under a culture that the is still male dominated. Thus, where breadwinner both makes equal amount of money. It is still better to consider the Husband, since he is considered the Head of the house in the family structure. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Everyone, Before, I answer the question on mirrors, there is an important concept of mirror: " Mirror, mirror on the wall ". Please see illustration in the attached file. (Only available under web-login to the forum. Attachment not included for those participating or listening in from an e-mail mailing list). History: 1. The Cantonese dialect group is particularly fond of placing mirror(s) in the living room. The idea is that food on the dining table can be multiplied. 2. The above, is particularly favourable to Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners. Especially since the majority of Hong Kongers are Cantonese themselves! 3. Interior Decoration and Mirrors (C) Cecil Lee U…

Dear Sophia, Feng Shui is about Earth Luck. But most of the time Human Luck is equally important. Human luck often relates to family ties / family bonding / relationships and yes, hobbies. Since this is your husband's past-time or hobby, like many others, it is perfectly all right to collect them as this brings a good sense of feeling for him. Is also indirectly good for the family. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, so long as the frontage or the "head" portion of a house is not "chopped-off" to be re-renovated. For example, for some homes, the owners left the back part of the home intact but started to built a new front of the home. If so, it is still best to demolish the entire home and start from fresh again. Generally without looking into the finer details, how squarish or rectangular or how odd shaped the property is, all these will affect the final outcome as to whether we should "join" back the house. If it is just adding back walls that were previously knocked out, in general, if done properly, it may be acceptable to do so. …

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Ideally, the more accurate method is to analyse all three elements i.e. that of the base number, mountain # and water # rather than base it on a combination of 10. The analysis of the three elements will look `within' to see if there are any imbalances (if any) at that sector. If there is an imbalance and the element identified, a cure can be use appropriately. Here, again, it is better to look at the relationships of all three elements within the sector. If there is indeed an imbalance, you only need to neutralise it. But if water is in the way of this analysis, it is preferably not be there or (for the breadwinner), it is advisable…

Messages are answered in the forum as we get to them to reply. It takes lots of time to clear each and every post with numerous post added every day.
