Dear Anon, 1. Currently, there are many factors that can attribute to the situation you face. 2. At the preliminary (without using proper Feng Shui tools for analysis), the two trees do not seem (in my opinion to be large ones) as you had mentioned that it is lower than your window. 3. More investigative work can be done. But generally, too many trees e.g. the two trees even though they may not be that large may in certain circumstances create a too yin situation. And based on time dimensions in Feng Shui, at certain timing, the location may become too yin and thus create such an imbalance. 4. Try, for the moment, not to take too drastic a step such as chopping the tree d…

Dear Cecil Thnak you for your fabulous site. We are building a new house facing south west. We plan to have a swimming poolin the south western area, which has a bad water star. The only alternative is a more southerly direction - would it be more auspitious? In any case, what can be done to remedy and protect our veranda which is close to the swimming pool and has a very good mountain star? Thank you very much

Dear Anon, This is actually a very common problem for a lot of people. This is where you need to adopt a give and take approach. When looking for for a home, you give the best facing (ie excellent/prosperity etc) to the breadwinner. In our traditional chinese culture, the man of the house is the husband or father of the family. Then the breadwinner will enjoya less suitable bedroom (ie spook/irritation etc). Given that the breadwinner gets his luck from the house, he can now give a better bedroom to his spouse. Thus, the spouse can have a less suitable facing of the house (ie spook/irritation etc), while a better bedroom ie (excellent/prosperity etc). This way you can …

1. Priority is based on "Rule of thumb". Often, once we have viewed a room or bedroom; we have a feel of how we would like to place the bed(s). 2. The report should be considered as "NICE-to-HAVE" and not a "MUST-have". 3. Thus: Go for Para 1, first.

Dear master, My Bazi chart is as follow below. Various people tell me various things regarding the WU Day master and I am confused. Is it weak or not? Here the free reports says it is. Yet I am not sure, because first I don't know enough, and also I have been told various conflicting things. For ex. that there is so much WU rooted in the chart that it can't be weak. Or that the Wood in the Month pillar is not weakening the WU, because it is Dead Wood and should not be a concern, and that actually the Metal in that case is useful to chop the dead Wood and turn in into a Fire to warm up the Earth (and train the Metal). Is it so, that Metal is useful to my WU Day ma…

Dear CF Yow, CF Yow wrote: We will be moving to our new condo next month. However upon checking our auspicious dates, the weekend dates in March do not seem favourable. Pls advise a 'practical' way to 'officially move-in' to our new condo on a weekday, without really having to move all our stuff. We intend to move the bulk of our stuff on a weekend. Simply select the better date to officially move-in, and then follow these move-in rituals:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/temp/user/move-in.doc Once you do it, you can move your furniture later. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

1. For new unconstructed buildings, one may look at or consider whether it is feasible to "lock up" bad stars e.g. by building a store room at this area. 2. If it is a built up home or completed home, then commonsense prevails that it is damn ugly or silly to place e.g. a wind chime "smack" in the middle of the home. I know some Feng Shui practitioners do advise placing something like that. And these are the same practitioners that may tell the client " Don't ever use your master toilet" etc... 3. Many of us stay long term in a home. And a Geomancer only comes to our house often once in their life and for 1 or 2 hours. And to provide such advise i.e. never use the maste…

Dear Cecil, There are is a fence on the back of our apartment seperating it from the next building.. The design of the fence is such that there are arrow shaped iron bars pointing to the back of the apartment The back is the West which is also the sitting direction of the apartment. What can be done to protect oneself 1. Keep the windows closed and curtained -- what u dont see does not harm u 2.Put convex mirrors to deflect the image of the bars 3. Any other remedy that you can suggest Thanks Anil _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

Dear Anthi, It is best to grow plants in a garden. In my opinion, for plants grown e.g. on the balcony, or interior of the house e.g. in an apartment/flat it would depend on the type of indoor plant. Not all outdoor or plants that require sunlight can be grown in the house. It would therefore be nice if one has an area in the flat or apartment for natural sunlight to flow and open space especially the balcony area where rain water can at times `splash' on them. For indoors, in my opinion, planting plants can be quite tedious if there is not enough sunligh. And one may often need to bring them out to sun. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, For really bad stars #5 combined or inflammed by #9; it is good to control this with "moving-metal". "Moving-metal" is particulary useful since you mentioned that in addition to these two bad stars, there is a further #3 = lawsuits, quarrels star. If the bedroom is not a bedroom, then one may consider using a six-hollow-rod windchime at that specific sector. Or a chiming clock around the wall of that sector. A clock that makes mechanical movement is also acceptable. Other traditional Feng Shui cures include:- a. the placement of a hulu or bottle gourd e.g. placed at the bed side table. b. for severe cases: get a jam jar (sized bottle). place 6 copper co…

Dear Jo, In my opinion, it is best not to apply `sector/corner' "Feng Shui". This type of "Feng Shui" is a modern invention and no basis in the (wide scope) of Traditional Feng Shui. No Traditional Feng Shui practitioner would practise such things (with the exception of Feng Shui authors.) It is so easy to write books based on this. Furthermore, it is too general i.e. to be applicable to everyone in the world. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tian Wan, Generally, when you refer to good oa bad direction for a house it depends on several things. 1. If you refer to a good and bad house based on a Flying Star for example. Then yes, a house can be good and bad depending on the location. However, this by itself does not mean that a bad house is bad for everyone. 2. It also depends very much on the suitability of the house to the owner. I this means that a house which is suitable to the owner can overrule some of the bad influence the house has, as it is generally favourable to a person. So it depends on how you look at it. Generallly, however, most problems can be solved especially for influences based on F…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just wondering... It is said that I am Strong Water. I am a cartoonist, illustratorand a graphic novelist. Art is water too, yes? Does that mean I took the wrong career? If I only consider your career suitability, yes probably cartoonist, illustrator and graphic novelist will be considered weater element and so not suitable for you. However, there are many areas in your life (ie your house suitability/element, your career, the colours/element you wear, the people around you, your own luck period etc). Of which the house will have the greatest amount of luck. So if you want to have water career, then you need to make sure you have at least a W…

1. Your authentic bazi info is based on your day pillar heaven stem. 2. Often for other calculations, for convenience some geomancers simply use the year "pillar", and thus say that it is your bazi element. 3. This is not exactly wrong, just that it is soley inadequate. 4. Under authentic bazi, traditionally it is made up of Year, month, day, hour plus house of life and house of conception. 5. To find out your exact bazi element, you may consider using our free reports to generate it.

Yeah, from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, what you roughly mentioned; seems not auspicious. The best "test" is to check the history... who had previously rented the same "spot"? If possible, do more checking and/or speak to some of the neighours (tenants) of the building... to get some more information. Sometimes, it is amazing what we find.. e.g. the unit perhaps has higher turnover than say other units next to or nearby or within the building.... Good Luck in your venture!

Dear Diana, If you use this free report, it will show you exactly what elements and colours you will need:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Or the Comparison Report within the Members Area will accurately find a Binding Element common to both of you. Generally for weak Metal and weak Fire, probably one set of binding element could be Fire (Red) and Earth (yellow). There are several different combinations but Fire and Earth would probably be the best as fire enhance weak the weak Fire, while Earth enhance Metal. This also helps you to create an harmonious combination of element Fire -> Earth -> Metal. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards …

Dear Vijay, 1. If one is looking at the 5 elements concept; it is important that we understand the destructive cycle. 2. In past forum messages, I mentioned that actually, the destructive cycle is also the `wealth' creation model. 3. For example: lets look at the "destructive cycle":- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm E.g. Wood destroys earth 4. Here, if we look carefully at this "destruction": actually, logically speaking wood gets it's nurishment from earth. 5. And as we are all aware, over farming is undesirable. thus, many farmers plant one crop, rotate another crop etc.. And they also add neutrient into the soil. 6. Another example is Metal …
