Dear Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: My best directions for my desk to face are SW and NE. The way my office is situated, for me to move my desk, it would sit diagonally. However, I thought that anything situated like that would not be good feng shui. What is the best possible thing to do in a situation like this? Thank you in advance. It is nice to get everything suitable to your personal feng shui. However, sometimes due to constraints this might not be possible. Especially, for office sitting directionis limited unless you own a room to yourself. Often, most people do not have much choice or flexibility in such changes. Dear Cindy, Would firstly appreciate that you do not post a message without any message content. Anyway, a house birthdate is defined as when the house was built (ie 1999 (would be a period 7 house). If there are renovations (especially major ones), ie hacking of walls or changing of interior structure of the house or expansion of the house etc. Such major renovations may cause a birthdate to be changed to a new period. So in such cases where major renovation was done after the house was built, the house might be converted to the year the major renovation was done. Hope that helps. Hi Mary, Finding work is probably work itself. I know many many people who do not practice Feng Shui and still are able to find good jobs. Here are some of my suggestions to enhance your luck with work. 1. Get educated. Beats working for McDonalds and settling into a career that you enjoy doing will take you to success. 2. Go for a make over. Change bad habits, create a positive attitiude. Be confident in yourself and if needs be, get a nice hair cut and upgrade your clothes. 3. Aim for the top. Companiesneed tolook at you as a valued worker rather than a burden to the company. 4. Excercise. Keeping yourself in good shape and good health will improve the soul. 5. S…

Dear Guest, In terms of studying, you should try to take a look at:- 1. Either your study direction, should try to face one of your 4 good directions under your eight house chart:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm 2. Make sure also that you take note especially on where the sun enters into your room. Try to to study against the glare of the sun or where the sun light shines onto your table as it can be very distractive under such situation. Or where too much sunlight especially shining on the walls of your room can also make it very warm and thus very distractive. 3. The last thing to check is sometimes, it could be due to the colour sc…

Dear Lily, Quote: May I ask if the breadwinner of the house is Strong Wood and water is his unfavourable element, can he still have a fish tank in his house if his house has a W8 in the right position. A little of everything even the unfavourable element is acceptable but too much will not be favourable for a Strong Wood person anymore. In this case, the flying star W8 is the water wealth sector. This will superceed the requirement of the ba zi. As what you are activating is the water wealth. So having a water feature there will be ok as long as it is in the right position where the water wealth is located. So even if the person is a Strong Wood, he can still …

I am a strong fire and apparently for the next 10 years I need more earth than water. What does that mean? I tried finding the answers on the site, but could not find it. Please explain. Dear Angela, Angela Le wrote: 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) Does this mean the information provided to me applies only to a house built between 2004 -2023? In the house hunting report, this period refers to houses built within 2004-2023. This is because the flying star influence is calculated based on the 2004-2023 so the best houses in period 8 will be different if it is built earlier in period 7. Thus, when you do a house hunting report, you normally prepare a period 7 and period 8. For houses built in period 7, you look at the best direction recommended in period 7 report, while if the houses are built in period 8 look at the best direction recommende din p…

As long as you haven't made any major renovations to change to the new period. A period 7 house will remain a period 7 house luck. So the double7 will still be auspicious. Remember in feng shui say a period 7, star 6 is fading prospertity, star 7 is currentprosperity and star 8 is future prosperity. So you should look at the star 8 because it is the future prosperity star in addition to the star 7. Only difference lies in that star 7 on its own will start to revert to a Robbery Star. So luck will be a little less auspici…

You may look at it at www.grandslambattingcages.com Thanks! Frankly, every business / person is unique. In order to get a good advise, you will need someone to first assess like your ba zi, your office feng shui then be able to give you a proper analysis on how you can improve your overall feng shui. There is not going to be any single or general tips that can work for you. Feng Shui needs to be personalised and harmonise to your situation before you can enjoy the full potential. So I would …

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: The picture file shown is similar to the flat that I had purchased. The walls of the study room and another bedroom have sloping walls. If I have built in cabinets to make the walls straight, does it help? Yes, sloping walls tend to create additional poison arrow, so not very good in feng shui perspective. In feng shui, as long as you can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes an issue. So by building a cabinet to hide the slope will be one way to resolve this sha qi. The other way is if your ceiling is very high, a false ceiling is also another away to conceal such sloping walls or any beams. These are usually the most effective sol…

Am I right? Please give me some advice on what to do? Thank you. In order to determine if your home is still a period 7 or period 8, you will need to confirm whether there are any major renovations done in 2004/2005. Would a water fountain help as well? Do you have any suggestions to remedy this or should we look for another house? Sha Qi from roads are harder to cure because these are external shapes and form influences. I would say that the planting of hedges to block this will be much better than the use of a bamboo windchime. In feng s…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In hunting for an apartment, is high-rise or low-rise building better? Is there anything to do with qi flow? In general, higher floors are generally more popular because firstly it gives a good view (usually unblocked by other flats). Also, under flying star above 7th floor onwards, it is always said that your frontage (usually the living room/balcony) contains virtual water (open space). Thus, usually higher floor is more popular. As for whether which is better in terms of Feng Shui, you have to really check out the environment in relation to the unit to determine which is better. Doesn't mean that lower floor means not as good. Some low flo…

Dear Reina, Quote: ie period 7 (NW sector has 5-2-5 and yearly 5 will be very bad) ie period 8 (NW sector has 6-6-7 and yearly star 5 not too bad) I don't understand the NW 525 in 7 and 665 in 8. Can you please explain further. Frankly, this is lots of flying star related analysis. I was simply trying create an example to tell you that different period and different flying star numbers in the sector will make the yearly star have different overall influence. 5-2-5 are all three Strong Earth Illness/Misfortune star. With the yearly 5 again nother Strong Earth will make that sector extremely bad. 6-6-7 are Metal related stars. Metal helps to exhaust Earth, thus even if S…
