Dear Mr Cecil Lee, I would like to ask you a question regarding my suitable business type. I was born on the 4th of October 1979, at 4 am. Generated from the Ba Zi report, my element is wood. Does that mean that my suitable line of business should involve the water element? Please give some examples... Thank you very much. Regards Steph

Note: Yes, Spencer; please do use the 8 sector measurement for Yang (for the living). As mentioned earlier, this has been used as early as the Sung Imperial carpenters to built furniture/doors etc... for their emperors. Cecil Hi Cecil Thank you so much for a very informative session. I have came across two other writers who mentioned that the 8 sectors measurement being used for all measurements. Nothing was distinguished between Yin and Yang measurements or 8 or 10 sector measurements. So that makes 3 of you. Then i came to another writer who stated that the 8 sectors are meant for external measurements such as fences, gates (not tombs). And the 10 sector measurements a…

Dear Spencer, 1. Yes, I totally agree with your comments. 2. When Dahlia Park TOP, the condo was like a second home as I had clients in nearly all the blocks. 3. What strikes me was that even if these are condos, as you had mentioned, they are firstly freehold; 4. In an exclusive private residential area with both low rise and even all condos in the area has a height restriction or often called `semi-low' rise condo apartments. Most likely because of airport restrictions on the outer-zone. 5. I always felt peaceful, within this private residential encave. Nowadays, it could even be worse-off is to stay close to embassies especially the American or British as often these …

Dear Jennifer, Palm Grove Condominium Both Palm Haven and Palm Grove share the same developer: CapitaLand. Both are 999 year leases. Palm Haven's lease started from 1/9/1876. While Palm Haven's has a better advantage since it started from 1999. Currently, this area only allows for low rise residential estate. Therefore, both Palm Haven and Palm Grove have low rise units. Each development at 4 storey high. Besides consideration such as the remaining lease time-limit and psf; in terms of external Feng Shui, the smaller development (Palm Haven with 48 units as oppose to 111 units for Palm Grove) has better shapes and forms. If one notice the attached site plan for Palm Haven…

Dear George, 1. In my opinion, we must be very practical in our lifes. 2. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, the closest to "auspicious" house number is as shown in the sample attachment. 3. Look at it this way: A house is not like a car in most parts of the world. This is because, how often, can we change our house numbers vs how often can we change cars and car plate? 4. Often, when we purchase a house, we are literally stuck with the naming convention of that specific street or avenue. 5. Even under numerology, there are so many ideas of what is or is'nt auspicious. The saying goes: "One man's meat is another man's poison". Even in the west, some people are supersitious w…

Dear Glyn, Please send my regards to Phil and all your lovely children:) Yeah, I can understand what you mean:) Nowadays, a voice amplifier or *joke* perhaps, do get yourself a CD of the sound of waves. I have seen such CDs around selling in some shops. For sure, do try out those CDs with gentle sea waves. Avoid getting those that sound like the force of a Tsusami wave... swoosh.. erh... which might literally sweep one off one's feet. Do take care! And hope you recover from your sinus! Erh..perhaps? *JOKE* When young.... when you were in your mum's womb; perhaps, your well developed ears felt comfortable, just maybe, she heard that playing sounds was good for you:) An…

Dear Jane, Frankly, looking at most of the messages in this forum, I have this to say: "Gua or Kua is not a cure-all". Often, I find users quoting their Gua numbers and expect miracles to happen. Or totally disappointed that it cannot do much. I have often elaborated to apply the three-step approach: Step 1: What is the PURPOSE of each concept? Step 2: What is it's strengths? Step 3: What is it's weakness? There are two senarios: 1. Either the family has nothing better to do than to complaint or 2. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, most probably; they have #3 or #4 at the main door etc... Here, there is relatively not much one can do `to be placed' at their home. Other than if…

dear Anon, 1. Yes, I strongly believe that good authors often state facts. 2. Even if our homes is miles away from the sea; we are literally affected by daily high/low pressures. 3. Even the idea of full moon i.e. our moon is many thousands of mile high; yet, there were documented cases of people's mood affected by the magnetic force of the moon. We can literally see high/low tides based on the moon's gravitational pull. 4. Even the Grand Duke theory is based on the planet Jupiter .. which is said to be the biggest planet and thus have a `magnetic' influence on our planet earth. 5. Thus, one must never, never discount: Macro Feng Shui. 6. Yet, time and time again, we…

Dear Judy, 1. The clue here is to look at the human make-up: "We have our head and feet." 2. One simple example is, when most of us sleep we sleep in a `near' horizontal position. Here, all humans have a head. And our actual head should face the best direction. 3. Our feet should point to the opposite direction. 4. Ambulance Evacuation and the taboo: To give another example: Even for Chinese; who are very sick; recently, I encountered an experienced ambulance attendant who has advised family members of the sick that whenever; an emergency evacuation is made; "head, first". 5. When lying down, often, we want our head to be the `first' to be closer to the auspicioius direct…

Dear Geok Tin, 1. An office environment is different from a home. 2. Unless; one is the CEO or senior positions or do not have a personal room; frankly, there is very little one can do to or next to impossible to change the working desk direction. 3. Nowadays, many office use system furniture and it is next to impossible to tilt or change it's direction. 4. Honestly, you would have to depend more on "Human Luck". Nowadays, I do understand that many of us have `low morale' and tend to worry about things like restructing or retrenchments. 5. However, look at it this way: the more we worry, the more, we get into a vicious cycle of such thoughts. 6. In my opinion, "nervousnes…

Dear Daria, Please see the attachment. I used Smart Draw software to give a simple illustration: 1. Please see a sample `North' marking. It may not be exactly true North. But this is merely a sample. 2. I had placed a True compass direction's grid on the `centre-of-gravity' of the layout plan. This method is known as the True compass `pie-chart' method. Another method is to properly mark out the `zones' for each compass direction. Much like the sample `zone' shown in PURPLE for the North compass direction. Each compass zone can also follow this type of marking or zone. 3. Highlighted in yellow is considered as a missing corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lana, In my opinion, it is best that you dispel with "Feng Shui" for the time being. Let me elaborate.... If one is currently facing financial problems; the worst senario is to depend on the `type' of Feng Shui that you are practising. The majority of what you are practising is: the wrong type of Human/Man Luck. I understand many of us want to feel comfort by placing things in our homes, just because we read that it "might work". We can draw a parallel to some people who when faced with difficulties "drown" themselves with food. Placing figurines etc.. does not work! In fact, if we look at it carefully, all the best human luck is/are Free! I often mentioned that we …

Dear Glyn, 1. Frankly, based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui it is not advisable to place a bed next to the window(s): 1.1 Often, the window next to where one person sleeps could be closed. Or if open, can bring `drafts' of air to those sleeping close to the window. 1.2 A better Shapes and Form arrangement is as shown under the attachment. 1.3 Here, the bed has a back support and away from the `elements' (window). Since, you had also mentioned that there is no toilet at this location. 1.4 Is the bedroom door at the middle or at the side. This is not a main issue unless one sleeps with the legs facing the bedroom door (in this situation, it is akin to bringing out the coffin…

Dear Yew Hui, Please see below:- I strongly believe that Feng Shui is not only just the interior but equally or more important is the external Shapes and Forms. 2. Even if we are looking at the interior,we should also look at the layout plan. For example, safe shapes are layout plans that are rectangular in shape. Look out for the toilet locations etc.. Here, if one wants like to trickle in, a simple day curtain or even using sun-ex films can be used; such as an opaque film. Where possible try to find out what is the rationalefor theprevous owner selling their unit (if possible). Warmest Regards, Cecil Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Judy, Under the Five Elements concept:- 1. Other than using colour, shapes is another consideration. 2. Thus, circle symbolises metal element. While rectangle or square represents earth. 3. Generally, white, silver, chrome or gold represents metal element. 4. If one takes a close look at a Chinese Luopan, one will notice that it is made up of an external square (represented by earth) and the inner plate is the Heaven plate. 5. The key to understanding here, is that the Heaven (Metal) plate is the key to our life. The Heaven (Metal) circular plate is akin to Heaven's Qi. The Heaven qi is used to conqueror or neutralise earth imbalances e.g. the square plate. 6. This …

Hi Anon, Yes. The Auspicious Date for 12 months uses tong shu and ba zi to find suitable dates to an individual. Included in the package is 1 Yearly Report which allows you to generate a yearly auspicious to show you which months are better and which dates in the month are auspicious or inauspicious. The Monthly Report does more in-depth analysis into a particular month. You are given 12 credits to allow you to find generate 12 different months for a single person, or 12 different months for 12 persons. How you use the credit is up to you. All you need is the Name, Gender, Date of birth, optional (Time of Birth), and which the month and year you are generating for. Hope t…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Today, there are still some developers who had folded up. This is not just in Malaysia or in Singapore. A few months back, this developer had uncompleted development and it has become a breeding ground for mosqitoes. Therefore, any land, that has both good or bad Feng Shui, can come down with such a situation. Often, it is sheer `bad luck' which is attributed to the most common situation: downturn in business, leading to cash flow problems for such a developer. Why not, if an experienced FS practitioner finds that the land is OK. A towkay (rich man) may eventually, buy over this land. Hopefully, at a much lower price - due to forced sale…

Dear Wincash, Please see below:- In the second place, it is good that you advise the inexperience practitioner not to practise looking at dates:) Thirdly, even if one wants to stay in an abandon home; the only rationale I could think of are: 1. A fugitive running away from the law 2. Refugees running away from war 3. A movie company making a film and often, we find the heroes running into abandon homes. What do you think? Often, those who haunt `haunted' houses want to chase humans away from their domain (home). So, why would they want to follow the practitioner home? In the past, or quite recently, I had written about evil people who intentionally "breed" bad spi…

Hi Cecil, Thanks for the advice. This is a brand new home site still unders contruction. I based the information on the blue-print layout for the property provided by the builder. The way all houses are built to be facing between two opposite houses similar to the picture I sent you. Based on your advice, I would look somewhere else to buy house. Thanks again for you advice. One day, a man was `furiously' thinking of the `cleanest' way to get rid of his wife. (He was having an affair and his mistress had gave him a `dateline' to get rid of his wife.) The man thought of nearly everything but felt that he would most likely be the suspect! He truly wanted to plan and execute a `perfect crime'. He nearly gave up when, one night, he watched the news of how foreign maids often cleaned windows or put out clothings and accidently fall to their death! Oh! He hit on the idea! YES! My current wife fits this profile! She was a housemaker and her moto is " TOO CLEAN ". The man decided to call a friend to pretend to be a "Feng Shui Master". Since his wif…

Halo Cecil, I am trying to position my stove, fridge and sink in a good work triangle and at the same time follow the rules of good kitchen feng shui. 1. My kitchen is in the West. Any problem with placing the sink beside and the fridge opposite the stove? 2. If the knobs of the cooker is facing up, the stove is in a neutral position? So does that means that the fridge or sink can be placed anywhere relative to the stove without experiencing bad feng shui? 3. How to determine the facing of a sink? 4. If the favourable sector of the woman using the kitchen is in the north (which is no good for kitchen feng shui), it is still advisable to place the stove there? Thank you an…

Dear Cecil im confused about the Facing Direction of my Apt, i've read books, some say Main Door, some say Balcony. My Balcony is opposite my Main Door & the Balcony faces the Back of another Apt Block. There is no traffic outside my Main Door as it faces the Main Doors of my two neighbours (but not directly, so no poison arrows). And my these two neighbours' flats' balconies (which is opposite of their Main Door as well - which means Same Facing as my Main Door) face the Playground downstairs. So do i take the Main Door OR my Balcony as the Facing Direction? i know that this is crucial in order to plot the Flying Star Natal Chart accurately. There's not really any pr…

I am gua#7. Bedroom takes up two sectors. North (737) and NE (519) where remedies are in place. Forms support #7 and #5, although #5 near window. Bed is under window on north wall away from #5. Window closed at night time during winter, open at night time during summer. Very large bed so husband and self sleep with heads pointing to good directions, sleep head to toe. Only other wall is the south wall of the bedroom with ensuite on the other side. West and east walls have built in robes. If I apply small taiji to this bedroom, the best place for bed would be on south wall where South is 628 and SW 846. However as stated, ensuite bathroom on other side of south wall. If I …
