Dear Georgy, Georgy Ivanov wrote: Is bad to put aguarium in my room.In many sites write that, bedroom is not place for aquarium. In that room I sleep study and make all my things. My personal element is strong metal. Thanks in advance. I do personally feel that it is not advisable. A bedroom should be quiet for good night rest. That is why bedroom is usually classified as Yin. With activities from fishes swiming or the light in the aquarium all these creates more yang. So not really good for bedroom. The more scientific reason would be the water in the fish tank tends to have a certain type of fishy smell, plus depending on the fish some fish/water featuremay make some no…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: my master bedroom bed is in same alignment of my bedroom door. however, the bed is facing the full glass window. is this okay? When you mentioned the bed is in the same alignment of the main door, do you mean that it is anchored to the wall where the main door is located? This means the window is opposite the bed. If I got the above correct, then ideally, the best placement is where you seleep, you can see the door. The purpose is so that if anyone enters, you will know or be aware of it. In the past, this is especially so that one can take precaution especially if it is a thief entering. However, if there is no other way to place the bed, …

Or pricing it right or to keep the place clean. In terms of feng shui, you can try to improve some of your l…

Dear Cheryl, In my opinion, there should not be an issue with the situation that you had described. From a Feng Shui point of view, this is not an issue. There are some concern by some people only if there is a upper floor e.g. bedroom just above the car-porch. In such a situation, someone said that in the event that a car caught fire, it would be dangerous to have the car below this bedroom. But to be honest, how often have we heard that stationary cars catch fire. Alternatively, smoke detectors or fire safety sensors could be used, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil cheryl ludwig wrote: I am going to purchase a house. One of the ones I've looked at has a carport attached …

Dear Anon, 1. Looking into past practises; it is popular for the Cantonese (dialect group of the Chinese) to place a wall mirror facing their dining table. The Cantonese felt that having a mirror in this postion would be "auspicious" as food on the dining table can be "doubled" with the mirror image. 2.For interior designers,a large mirror is often recommended as most of us are aware of to create an illusion of depth orseemingly make the home look larger. 3. To be honest, having a mirror behind the sofa is often, less than idealalthough it can still be done or still acceptable. However, for practical reasons, if thesofa-head-rest is too close to the mirror, often,w…

Dear Anon, For landed properties (with privacy) all round e.g. no tall buildings that can have a view or peer into the home thru the sky light, the use of sky light is acceptable! In ancient Chinese buildings, or homes may homes have an open court-yard akin to letting light into the home or close to the concept of the skylight. The only issue is to avoid placing a single tree in the middle of the home and have a skylight shining down. In the past, I had mentioned that this is similar to the word "KUN" in Chinese and very inasupicious. However, if there is no single lone tree, it is still acceptable. Nowadays, in Singapore, many terrace homes resort to adding transpare…

Dear K Chin, K Chin wrote: Since the shape of objects affect the luck, health and wealth of a person or apartment, do the shape and the color of a sofa have any effect on luck orhealth ? In general, you have to always rank what is important. ie. If in a room, then the colour of the room and the key furniture colours will affect the overall feng shui of the room. The other smaller objects will play only a smaller role. Therefore, generally the colour of the sofa will play the greatest influence for the element of the sofa, followed by the material and the shape of the sofa. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I dont have much idea of Feng shui... But my husband belives & follows it. I was stucked up at one thing whether Indoor cactus are good or bad? He says it brings bad fortune. Is it true? Plants in general is good. Especially those with flowers. Plants that have torns or sharp branches can indirectly create posion arrows (sha qi). Therefore, like your husband said, it is not as good simply because the it creates lots of torns. What you want in a home is harmony rather than conflicts. Therefore, for this reason it is not so good especially if it is the only plant around. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center …

Dear Leonor, In my opinion, since this house was built in the early 1990's usually, it should be a Period 7 chart unless, there were (especially) major renovations done on or after 2004. Warmest Regards, Cecil Norman Leonor wrote: I would like to know what period should i use to make the lu shou chart for the house we are renting. The washousebuilt sometime in the early 1990's, and that should beperiod 7, but we just moved here in 2005 last yearthe month of May and this would be period 8. I read an article saying that the period you should use is the time when you moved to your new home not the time the house was built. I so confused... Help me please.

Dear Sophia, Symbolically under Feng Shui, it is good like you mention to rectify such "physical" leaks in the shop. Usually, if you have rented your shop, you should try to seek redress from your leassor. Since the shop is still new, try to check out who is the developer as often such building defects is covered by the developer. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Diane, Wow! Actually, it is not so simple as it seems. As, firstly the external environment of the home, also needs to be considered such as any open drains or canal outside, passing thru the home and other external factors. In addition, it is quite difficult to understand the "T" or is it proprotionate etc.. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Diane Price wrote: Could you please advise me on the purchase of a T shaped home? Dear Anon, There are two ways at looking into this:- 1. Human Luck Factor Some of us enjoy putting on jewellry or wear some jewellry. And perhaps, make them feel good or even confident of one-self. Drawing a parallel, it is akin to buying somedecorative itemsfor the home. Imagine, a home can orlook very dull without some form of decoration. 2. Under the Five Elements Concept Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm Under the Five Elements concept, if we take a careful look at the "destructive" cycle; one can see the "constant" Metal "destroys" Wood or Water "destroys" Fire or Wood "destroys"Earth or Fire "destroys" Metal or Earth "de…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: About 4 months ago, i had my sitting position at work changed to this current one where it's facing a big square pillar. Didn't really thought much about it until recently. But looking back at these 4 months I realised that my projects so far had been chocked full of obstacles and barriers. All of the projects, even the smallest ones, had a problem or another. Basically nothing went smooth and I don't know why. I've become more aware of the pillar in these few weeks and I am beginning to believe that all my obstacles at work were in some way due to the bad feng shui created by the pillar. It is likely the corner from the square pillar on the…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, I live in a N1, Ren home 348deg. Now to find the 24 mountain direction do I use the 348 deg as my facing directon or 0 deg from the center point of the home for my reference point ? In general, you take the facing direction of your home. ie I presume you have already considered that:- 1. Apartments (2nd-7th level), you take the main door direction (ie standing at the main door looking outwards). 2 Apartments (8th level and up), you take the living room/balcony direction (ie standing in your living room looking outwards). 3. Landed property, you take the frontage of your building. So say if yours is the landed property and you…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: my master bedroom is in south palace of the house and has 1 mountain 3 water and 2 period star, since 1 and 3 combination is good, i am not able to get benefit because of 2 and 3 combination and 3 water star feeds the fire of this sector. But often when there is an additional star that breaks the combination, then the priority is to just neturalise the impact of the star 2 so that the remaining stars can still give you the benefit of the combination. So apply metal cure to attempt to balance up the sector especially to neturalise the star 2. Then it can be conv…

Dear Diane, Diane Price wrote: can you please advise me on what to do? We are in a south facing home which is bad for me, a west person, but, good for my husband, an east person. Any suggestions on what I can do to make this home suitable for both of us? I have searched for a front door cure, but, have had no luck. Thanks very much for your advise, Diane First question that you should be asking is, are you the breadwinner or your husband? A house must fit the breadwinner. This way the house will bring luck to the breadwinner who provides for the entire family. It is quite difficult to get a house that will fit family members. So the rest of the family members just need …
