Your question is very similar to this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=31267&new= Hospitals and Doctors need the result of a triage. Cars that has problems (e.g. error codes) or fall sick also needs to be plugged in and a triage done. Today, if Jesus was suppose to be driving a people's car such as a Volkswagen VW; and if the car fail to start; he (Jesus) won't know the problem. He will have to approach "his mechanic" and ask for the above troubleshooting.... Even Moses and the ten commandments on tablets; may have to approach Steve Jobs upstairs to plea with him to have the ten commandment tablets be CONVERTED into IPAD 1, 2 an…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Is it ok to place the altar(Guan Yin)facing west? I believe it is not generally bad to place facing a certain direction. In fact it depends more on what the altar is actually facing, or what is behind the altar etc. Like for example, it is bad to place any altar where the toilet is directly behind it. These type of rulesets are more important to follow, than compared to a fix ruleset that altar can never face west. Anonymous wrote: is it true that the suspended type of altar is not so good? Of course the most ideal is to place on a table where there is like support and often most altar table size is often of a standard size that is of an au…

Dear Master Lee, I have renovated my house as per diagram and intend to place the altar in the location as shown. However, I understand that it is bad to have a bedroom adjacent to the altar. Please advise how to resolve this feng shui problem. Thank you.

1. If they share the same wall but different level is OK. 2. Just check to make sure that especially: 2.1. The altar does not share a wall with a toilet. Do check that directly above the altar, there should not be a bed especially a women's bed. Steve L. wrote: Hi, I know it's not good for your bed head to share the same wall as your altar. But, what if the wall is separated by floor level? The altar is on first floor while the bed is on second floor... Thank You James

1. Yes, it is just an expression. 2. Fu Lu Shou is not meant to be “prayed to”. Symbolically, it should be placed facing wherever people usually sit. So, if you often sit in the living room, ideally it should be facing you. It is also very common to place it on a table that faces the dining table. 3. It is best to place it in the living room. If you put it in the dining area instead, the table it sits on should preferably be around 49 inches to not more than 50 inches tall (this comes from the auspicious measurements on the Feng Shui ruler). If the table holding Fu Lu Shou is too low, it’s like, when we eat, these deities are “salivating” over our food... 4…

Dear Aloysius, This is not the first choice location is still acceptable provided it is "shielded" from the sun and rain. The altar should be placed with a solid backing. As to whether it is to be placed on the right side or left side of the balcony, so long as immediately facing the altar - we do not see any "ugly" objects e.g. drying of clothes or shoe cabinet. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Aloysius Chia wrote: Is it a good location to have your Altar place at the rectangle balcony on a 10th floor HDB flat, especially on theright side of the balcony wall.

These are some of the considerations: 1. A picture or sketch tells a thousand words = none. 2. What kind of altar is it? 2.1. A Catholic altar? 2.2. A typical Chinese altar? Even within the Chinese altar; there are many groupings:- 2.2.1 Ancestor altar 2.2.2Guan Gong (usually face the main door) 2.2.3Guan Yin (Goddness of Mercy) 2.2.4Jade Emperor etc... 3. Even buddha "altar". 4. Indian pooja or puja room / altar. 5. In general; an altar:- 5.1. Should not have it's back against a toilet wall 5.2. facing a bedroom 5.3. Preferred that it should not be at the NE or SW sector of a home 5.4. Placed below abeam There are LOTs more.. just that my fingers need to crawl somewhere …

Dear Anon, Unfortunately, since you mentioned that this is the only possible position you can place the altar. Then, there is very little you can do to re-position it. I mean Feng Shui is also actually about common-sense. I mean if course when possible if you are able to it is best to place it in the best possible position. But sometimes, these things happen and there is no possible alternative for you. So you just have to make do. When you look at feng shui, you have to look at it in a wholistic approach. Meaning that there are major issues right down to minor issues. It does not mean that just because one area is wrong, you will be faced with issues. Frankly, it t…

Hi, Please read below:- Again, this is a Chinese religious belief. For the Chinese, there are many "gods" or more appropriate "deities or fairies". You see in the Chinese due to many novels etc, Chinese believe in the various deities or fairies are originally some person who in his life time done something significantly great, thus, in future generations the Chinese began to worship them as a sort of symbol. Kitchen god is one of them. However, I have not really tell you that story, as I have not read on it, maybe you can look it up in the library. But in terms of Feng Shui, the kitchen is often regarded as an important place also, due to the fact that it represents …

Dear Master, thank you very much for your advice. My interior designer has a very interesting idea in the altar design, but I am doubtful about its appropriateness, and would like to seek your advice again. 1. Per my request, she located the Altar in location "A". However, she had the altar designed with transparent (glass) backing, and is about 6" away from the wall (there is a gap between the back of Altar and Wall). Is this acceptable? The Altar sits on top of the TV console too. 2. In seconddesign option, she had it made like a rectangular box that is wall mounted (suspended)in location "B". There is a spot light above the buddha. Is this acceptable? 3. The 3rd option…

For practical reasons, this is a last resort. So long as the stove is not on the opposite side of the wall, this is still ok. No issue with cabinets on the opposite side of the wall to store kitchen items. Anonymous wrote: Can the altar table share the same wall as the kitchen wall but without the stove at the same wall of course? If can, is it good fengshui toput cabinets at the same wall? Thank you very much.

Dear Blanche, For an altar: Avoid placing it 1. facing the dining table. 2. on the opposite wall as the toilet. 3. facing the bedroom. 4. in the bedroom. 5. facing the main door. Otherwise, find a `private' corner of an area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, is there a guide of such that the altar table is "too far" from the main door that I should build a solid wall in order to have the altar closer to the main door? The altar will be praying to Guan Yin and Guan Yu. Its about 14 feet versus 25 feet. Behind the wall of the altar, other than a bed what else I should look out for to avoid?

Usually it is best to havea sketch and it also depends on whether it is a Chinese altar or an Indian Puja or Pooja (hindu worship place).
