Dear Anon, Considerations when installing a fountain:- 1. A small fountain, may have to be considered as merely a decorative item. 2. A fountain should where possible, have water that splurt in and not allow water to splurt or flow out. In the earlier situation, water should be able to in. This simple concept can be seen under the following url: http://www.geomancy.net/events/Rotary_Club_FS_Talk/rc_talk_slide_28.htm In the above typical illustration:- 1. One will find that `water flows in' to a wealth or centre. 2. If one looks carefully, at the picture of the world's largest fountain i.e. Suntec City, Singapore:- 2.1 One will notice the huge metal ring which is also sym…

Dear Anon, Frankly, there is not much that can be done via Kua (Eight House). For example, if a house is unsuitable, it is unsuitable for the breadwinner. The only cure(s) are usually physical. For example, either changing of rooms that suit us to even relocating the main entrance to face a favourable angle of the owner. In many of the previous postings, I mentioned that Feng Shui is all about improving one's luck. Thus, you may like to further explore your home: Learn whether your home has good or not so good Shapes and Forms. If possible, try to apply Shapes and Forms. You may also like to look at Flying Star Feng Shui. As mentioned above, taking such steps is like try…

1. For free auspicious date for the NEXT 30 days:- http://dates.geomancy.net 2. Thus if you are looking atFREE dates, then wait until closer to december to look at thedates. 3. Please note that usually; one should look only at the male breadwinner or in addition ofthe spouse combineddates. 4. If one wants to look at auspicious dates for more than three persons; onehas to be real serious! As most of the time, itmay be hard to find auspicious dates already for two persons. But for three persons? Have you wondered thatin some cases, there may only be auspicious dates perhaps every two months. (Thisdwellmore on looney tunes...)

Hi Master, I have been thinking of moving into a place with my parents. ?The new place will consist of myself and my husband, my daughter, my parents and a domestic helper. ?I have narrowed down to a unit each in two condo developments. ?Each layout is different. ?The first unit in the document belongs to stack 21 and the second unit belongs to stack 02. ?I have attached the pictures in a word document for your reference. ?As it is a hefty investment, I would like to check which development and unit will be better for us. ?Really appreciate your help. ?Thanks.

Dear Sharon, 1. It is best not to sleep with the feet towards the door. As under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, having one's feet facing the bedroom door is symbolic of the `coffin' position. 2. I can quite understand that perhaps, some western Feng Shui practitioners may `pooh pooh' the Ba Gua mirror. As this is not ingrained in the Western culture. But in the East, the Ba Gua mirror is commonly used. 3. However, in Traditional Feng Shui: I am not talking only about this site but; many (many) Traditional Feng Shui Schools especially those practising some form of Xuan Kong or Flying Star Feng Shui would look at the use of e.g. 6 rod wind chimes. 4. In my opinion, for financ…

Dear Anon, You can make use of the Auspicious Dates Analysis reports in our website to find the best date for your needs. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-dates/po-dates.htm Our auspicious date analysis requires name, gender, date and time of birth to be able to tell you the most personalised date that is best for you in addition to the Tong Shu. Since each person is unique, there is no single date that is good for all, unless you justlook only at Tong Shu. Hope that helps. Dear Chee Kheong, Yes, when you have a wealth luck during the major luck period, it means that you have a greater or higher chance for wealth opportunities. How well you can take advantage of it will depend on yourself especially how strong your element is to be able to control or maximise the opportunities. In such periods it is the better periods for making investments. It is even better, if the current 5-year, yearly, 6-monthly luck are further in your favour. As for lottery, this is hard to say because when it comes to lottery, you are actually gambling against million of other people. Whoever's luck is highest will tend to have a higher opportunity of winning. So …

Dear Sam Yeong, Sam Yeong wrote: Duringperiod 7,if ws7 is atthe facing andms7is at thesittingwewillconsideritis a good fs house (wang ting wang cai). As long as you haven't made any major renovations to change to the new period. A period 7 house will remain a period 7 house luck. So the double7 will still be auspicious. Remember in feng shui say a period 7, star 6 is fading prospertity, star 7 is currentprosperity and star 8 is future prosperity. So you should look at the star 8 because it is the future prosperity star in addition to the star 7. Only difference lies in that star 7 on its own will start to revert to a Robbery Star. So luck will be a little less auspici…

Generally, there is really no issue on this. You can place it anywhere in the living room area and it will not really affect the feng shui simply because this is just a temporarily decoration for that season only. Like I always mentioned, any form of celebration is always good to create better bonding in th…

Dear Anon, The best option (if you can) is to place a partition between the door and the toilet entrance. The partition can either be closer to the toilet area or the main entrance door. If the layout of your home is `L' shaped, it would be good to break the room into two `rectangles' using a divider. If you are using a divider to block the view of the toilet/ main entrance, it need not necessarily be of full height i.e. not necessary to be up to the height of the ceiling. So long as if one stands at the main entrance and cannot see the toilet door it (the toilet door) no longer becomes a `threat' or Sha Qi. The other option is to close the toilet door when not in use. …

Dear Diana, In my opinion, you may have to treat it more as a decorative item. Alternatively, if it is a solid object, can be used to activate the mountain star (provided it is found) under the Flying Star Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vun Fook, Earlier, on my reply on the white-tiger location, yes, besides the compass direction of West, SW etc...: another major consideration is the Flying Star chart of that specific location. I have just scanned thru your message, but did not fully understand it. But for the star chart of 5ms 2 ws and 7, yes, with such a combination, a third element water is useful here. Under the Five elements concept: Earth -> Metal -> Water Since #5 and #2 are bad earth; Metal can help to draw out some of these earth. But not enough. In fact, this location should have `more metal' to help to further balance #5 and #2. A double edged sword is #7 weak earth. During this cur…

Dear Wendy, In my opinion, I personally feel that your question is too general. This is because, a house Feng Shui would depend on various factors involving: Shapes and Form and Compass School Feng Shui. And since no two houses are the same; more information would be required. Perhaps, when you have found a `suitable' house, or prior to this, you can in the mean-time, if you are using the Compass School Feng Shui; e.g. use the Eight House theory to see which room would be best for your dad's recovery. And later on if you have questions on the Shapes and Form of a house that you `like'; feel free to post more questions/advise relating to the house. Wishing your dad a spee…

Dear Sophia, Actually, many of the beliefs centres around the Grand Duke of Jupiter or the concern of Tai Sui. In fact, this year Tai Sui resides at SW sector until after the 15th day of the 1st lunar month. And because of this, this is why the idea of not "confronting Tai Sui" at SW on the 1st day of Chinese New Year. For next year i.e. in 2006 before the 15th day of the next 1st lunar month in 2006, Tai Sui will be at the West direction. Thus the belief is that one should not antagonise Tai Sui during the new year. There is no harm in playing safe. But one has to be practical, here. Imagine! if this is the only door, then looks like one should'nt leave the house f…

Dear Anon, Yes, this is considered as a `threat' to the `mouth' (main entrance) of the home. Given this situation: Taiwanese Feng Shui often suggests the use of plant(s). But if this is not possible, see if one can apply the concept: " if it cannot be seen, it can no longer be a threat". The next is the "terroist link" option: Get Bin Laden to help demolish the threat. *JOKE* As a last resort, one may have to consider the placement of a ba gua mirror above the main entrance doo. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Often, the colour scheme can be used in many situations. Neutral colour such as white or pastel shades of light colours are acceptable. The use of 6 coins is symbolic. Here, 6 represents big metal. And this is why it is often used. Other metal elements often used as a cure in Feng Shui are things like pendulum clock or wind chimes. In my opinion, this type of cure can be subjective. As not all practitioners may agree with it. In my opinion, it does help. So long as it is seen, it is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ashwini, For the use of plants, it depends on situation. If for example, the stairs if directly facing your main door, there is one situation where it is near impossible to use the plants. Here, one cannot simply place the plant(s) blocking the stairs or blocking your main entrance. But if the staircase is such that it is at the side or if there is a sufficient large corridor or you to place it, then this is fine. Warmest Regards, Cecil
