Dear Anon, If your bedroom is in the East and that your house has been either built within 1984 to-date or any major renovation of an existing home within this period, most likely, the house will be affected by this " Five Yellow " star. The cure usually depends on the Flying Star Feng Shui analysis and the direction of your main entrance door direction. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, there are a total of 24 directions. And a house main door depending on its direction can be situated at anyone of the 24 directions. Most of the Period 7 house have a compounding problem where the 20 year flying star may have " Bad Five Yellow " and coincidentally, another Bad Five Yello…

Dear Les Paul, In a home, these are some guidelines: 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, where possible, a water position is often or may / could / most likely can be placed in an open space area such as e.g. outside the frontage or in the living room area. 2. Under Flying star Feng Shui, try to check where is the water star #8 , in addition to Para 1 to see if a water position can be placed, there. For example, if the water star WS#8 is in the bedroom, then, one should not place a water feature, there. 3. While #8 is the current prosperity, one should take extra care not to drown locations such as MS #9 with water. Since #9 is considered in this age (Period 8) as th…

Dear Patricia, Regarding Health related problems, it is usually caused by the following:- 1. It could be because you are staying in a bedroom which happens to fall within your bad sectors based in the 4 good and 4 bad directions (Eight House Report). Most likely you are staying in a bedroom sector which is Death or Disaster. Or sleeping in your Death or Disaster. If this is the case, you should try to sleep at least in one of your good sectors such as Health or Longevity. Or re-locate yourself in a better bedroom which is one of 4 good sector. Please use the Free Eight House report to help you determine this. 2. There could be likely a combination of illness/sickness st…

Dear SY Wong, In general, the best days for changes or doing things e.g. moving is either the 15th or the 1st day of any lunar month. (Note: Chinese usually avoid the 7th month.) Another method is to llok at one's Ba Zi e.g. element and strength and choose dates that auspicious to one's animal sign. Also under www.geomancy-online.com there is an Auspicious date module. Which is based on an individual's element and strength and the best dates for him/her. You can also make use of the Tung Shu or the 100 year calendar to look for auspicious dates. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rohit, The situation, you face is very common for most of us. Do take note that the Eight House Theory is but one of the many theories. More importantly, it is used for: 1. How suitable the house is to you. 2. Even if both partners are `opposites' this should not be an issue. One can also apply the `shield' i.e. one partner who has favourable sector sleeps closer to that sector, while the partner, sleeps on the other side. Dear Mary, You should normally use the unit door i.e. your main door and not the main security door. However, if you have a layout plan either in the following format:- 1. Scanned in one of the popular graphic format e.g. .gif .bmp .jpg etc.. 2. Fax it to: 065 - 6482-0570 (Remember to quote your e-mail address for a return reply via e-mail). We will be most happy to help you or anyone locate the centre-point to your main door. If you are sending it by fax, make sure that you quote your e-mail address as we normally scan and e-mail the information to you. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Charity, Basically, there could be several factors which may go wrong. What I can do to help you here is give you free paid reports that may help you understand what could be causing your problem. Most of the the time many areas such as:- 1. Feng Shui luck of existing house could be bad (please use flying star report to check) 2. External shapes and form (ie any sha qi from buildings across the home cutting into your home) 3. Ba Zi element / career (ie weak wood but having metal career which destroy your weak wood). 4. Ba Zi colour (ie weak wood dislike metal - white/gold which destroy your weak wood) 5. Unsuitable House (ie house face North water element, but…

Dear Angela, 1. The Eight House Theory is useful to find a suitable house or locate a favourable sleeping postition. 2. It is a static theory and usine Gua (Kua) to analyse or trouble-shoot problems is not ideal as it is usually ineffective. Since it does not take into consideration, time dimension in Feng Shui. 3. For purposes of troubleshooting or analysing obstacles, it is very difficult to generalise problems or fix them. For such situations, consult a competent FS practitioner in most instances or apply more advanced Feng Shui methods. 4. At your end, you can do initial check whether your home (may be) under any threat from the external. By standing at the main ent…

Dear Anon, If you have the time, please check out my most recent reply (today) i.e. Part I and Part II - Facing direction of House I strongly believe that the above two write-ups will offer a good guideline as to the rationale for the facing direction and what to look out for a facing - direction. In your case, based on your limited information, it would seem that the facing direction should be North as opposed to NW (main door direction). Do check out the above information. I am sure, one can have a better understanding what to look out for. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chee Kiong, I won't know what theories or concepts other geomancer may have used as such not able to common on their analysis. Some geomancers uses Chinese Astrology, some use I-Ching, some use Ba Zi etc. Even those who use Ba Zi, a simple ba zi analysis can take your Year of Birth element, the more detailed one can take Day of Birth. Also how detail you analyse will also make an impact to what recommendations they will make. As such, so far from my experience, you can go to different geomancers, and there will different analysis results that may come out all depends on how information has been analysed. The only thing I can tell you here is that at Geomancy.net, …

Dear Anon, Actually, in my opinion, charity always begins at home It does not need to be real money but rather, good family bonding and relationships are often the key success factor which is = the human luck factors. Of course, I don't want to sound so cruel as to say that we must always give to charity. But, what I meant that we do all sorts of charity work (already for free) for our immediate family, First. All those things about not giving to the temple etc.. or having repercussions are more of "threats" than anything else. If people are good, generally, don't curse at others. Especially if they are good monks. There is no harm praying but as mentioned above, …

Dear Utpal, It is best to check the specific Flying Star chart of your home. For example: Senario 1 - Main door at West 2 or 270 degrees. The Flying star chart for South is as follows: The house is a Period 7 house. And it has the following stars: 1 mountain 5 water 2 base And as you had mentioned, there is a year 1. In such a home, South sector is plagued with two very bad earth elements: #5 misfortune, sickness and #2 sickness. And these are earth elements. If the material of your horses has a large earth content, then, it may not be favourable here. Overall, the only reasonable implied use of horse in Feng Shui is for `success' or to compete for success. This is where…

Dear CoolCat, CoolCat SG wrote: My house is on the 16flloor, how do i place my eigh house chart? Should it be main door or balcony? You should follow the ruleset as shown in this page:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm Since you are living in an apartment above 7th level, thus your facing direction would be your balcony direction. ie standing inside your balcony looking outwards. This would be your facing direction of the apartment. When applying the eight house sector (ie which sector belongs to what influence), that portion you should still align the north direction to the north sector of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards …

Tatoo

In Feng Shui, we call the Dragon and Tiger as the "Green Dragon" and "White Tiger". Here for the external Feng Shui, the dragon is on the east or left side, while the tiger is at the west or right side (if we stand inside the door looking outwards). Nowadays in Singapore, few will get a tatoo where the dragon and tiger embrace. If so, often, the tatoos are on the arms and not the legs. This is because to be "harmonious" the dragon and tiger should be in an embrace. Unless if the tatoo is on the legs, it is felt that where we stand, the dragon should also be in embrance with the tiger. In the early 1970's David Carradine played a disciple of Shaolin Martial Arts. And whe…

Dear Elena, If the main door is at the facing direction, you may consider tilting it to away from this double facing position. Otherwise, frankly, there is no way of "tilting" the entire facing direction -- just not possible, here. For some homes, or landed property, some even correct it by changing the "facing direction" i.e. relocating say the living or rooms with high activity... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Angela, 1. Sector Feng Shui or what you have mentioned below is the common advise from some Feng Shui books. 2. Most of the time, these books (some which have been written since 1984 or earlier) commonly suggest improvement such as `glorifying' or "paying homage" to a corner. 3. For example, these authors have tried to make money by mentioning that e.g. that one should enhance i.e. our romance corner with say ... flowers or pictures of loved ones. And this can be applied in a home or in a bedroom, e.g. the South-West corner. 4. This concept or idea is based on the Eight aspirations or Life associations or Life aspirations i.e. where, each sector is (was) said to have…

Dear Anon, In pratical Feng Shui, practical because many of us do not personally design or develop the house ourselves. In traditional Feng Shui, there are lots of houses which follow this strictly. For example, in many of the old houses (and even in Singapore) we can see toilets at North and a Ba Gua shaped balcony at the south (with a pointed roof). However, since many of us cannot simply with our wimps and fancy change the placement of a toilet bowl and even the shower/entire toilet. Given this situation, it is preferred that the toilet (at least) shares one external wall. Here, it means that the toilet is no longer at the centrepoint of the house. What is equally wors…
