Dear Ann, ann j wrote: The mother of my friendsuffers from cancer.I had gone through the flying star chart of herhouse built in period 5 with NW1, .Is any star combination of star 9 with star 5 or star 2 in south area or any area suggestive of cancer, please clarify on this and any possible combination suggesting any major illness Though, the house was built in period 5, the house luck would have already slowly flown over to the at least period 7 or even may have flown to the period 8 house luck. But the combination of star 9, star 5 and star 2 is very bad for health related. Star 9 is weak fire, but star 2 strong earth (illness) and strat 5 strong earth (misfortune). T…

Usually, the two main components are looked at 6MS vs 9WS. 6 being Strong Metal and 9 being Strong Fire. Under the Five elements concept: http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm Under the destructive element or rather in this case, it should be known as "wealth creation": Fire melts metal to create wealth. As one school of thought also says: 3BS represents = Strong Wood; Wood supports fire, which melts Metal. It is acceptable to have YELLOW so that the entire "equation becomes a flow" where: Wood supports Fire, Fire supports Earth; and Earth supports Metal Here, Wood = 3BS; Fire = 9WS; Earth = Yellow and finally Metal = 6MS. The best or optimum flow is to add "wat…

Dear Ann J, More importantly, you have to determine what material the beam is made of. If the beam is made of wood, then based on the destructive cycle of the Five Elements concept: metal destroys or neutralises wood and seven represents = metal element (weak metal) and silver represents metal element. Thus, if the beam is made of wood, then SYMBOLICALLY, it is sound to have the 7 "silver stars". Dear Song Kin San, Frankly, you can choose any of the 4 good directions. It does not really matter which belongs to which direction as best or not. As long as you sit face one of your good direction, you will enjoy luck from your suitable direction. Of course, we try to assoicate which type of sector is best for which. So for bedroom or sleeping position, obviously it is best for the health or longevity. However, it won't be wrong even if you choose to have your bed facing prosperity etc. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, It is best to avoid Death / Disaster which are the worst cases. As for the ranking of Spook / Irritation, these are inauspicious. Frankly, one need not need to find a weightage of which is the worst or not too bad based on a ranking system. What matters most is to try to avoid the most inaupicious : Death / Disaster. While Spook / Irritation is considered inauspicious. Looking at it in another way, all the four auspicious sectors e.g. Prosperity, Longevity etc.. are considered auspicious. Is there a purpose to rank them? The issue here is to try to avoid " Death / Disaster " as far as possible. While Spook and Irritation ... are inauspicious. Warmest Regards, C…

It should be based on the real direction one is facing. Please see attached illustration. Did you notice the work table? This person's best work directions are: South and East. (SE and North) are acceptable directions. Thususe a compass and check where is the north compass point. And then best to sit facing the good direction as shown in the example for an East group person. Anonymous wrote: I am bit confused on deciding on the best work position. Should I take my office as the entrance per Bagua or it has to be based on the real direction it is being faced?

I'm sorry, but I do not understand your answer and how it relates to my situation. Please allow me to explain my question further....perhaps my original question was misunderstood. I have an entrance at my kitchen/dining room. This is not the main/facing entrance (Main/facing entrance is in the west). This is in a single family house, not an apartment nor is it in a building with other residences. The side of the house where this door is located is the South side of the house, but because of the particular layout of the grid of this house, where that door lands on the grid is in the SW sector. So I was wondering if the entrance is considered to be a SW or South entrance.…

Good morning! I am new to this forum and thank you in advance for your help) I was going through the past postings and came across the below and have further questions please. Are you saying that IF you have poison arrows pointed at your house such as electrical poles, sharp corners from other homes, church steeples, streets that end up across the street in front of your home and so on....that you should put up a bagua concave mirror foreach situation? For example....I have several electrical and/or telephone poles spaced out about 8 feet apart across the street. One of them has a transformer box thingie at the top with a big wire or cord that hangs over the street an…

Dear Hoa Luong, Structural engineers or foundation experts are similar to doctors. In fact, many of them are certified in their profession. And given their professional accrediations, it is best to rely on their judgement. Surprisingly, sometimes, good quality wood may even lasts much longer than as mentioned the unexpected high expansion and contraction. It is best therefore to leave it to the professional competence of these people. In fact, often under building regulations, (touch wood) but should there be a structural problem in the future, these people, may be held accountable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Oh, my head is spinning! How easy for you and hard for me (with my western brain) to understand. Please bear with me....so - or + does not indicate weak or strong rather yin or yang, correct? If this is so, then how it is determined whether a person is weak or strong whatever? Would it be the over abundance or lack of a particular element in the total ba zi? - is actually for yin, while + is for yang. It has never been associated with weak or strong. Ba zi is a complex shool, that is why we have theonline analysis which determine for you whether you are weak or strong without worrying about the technicalities. All I can tell you is that …

Thanks for your quick reply. I knew there was something "fishy" about the whole thing. I'm not one really to fall for the superstious hype, even though I still catch myself still throwing spilled salt over my left shoulder. LOL! I loved your comment on resolving the issue of cooking them up in a pot. I suggest Lemon pepper for flavoring. Thanks.

Dear Anon, 1. Under the Eight House Theory one can still sleep at different positions or `switch places'. For example; if the bed is located at the North sector: Husband's intangible force is `irritation' while wife's intangible force is `prosperity' The wife should sleep closer to the `North' sector. The husband can sleep further away from this North sector. 2. For the kitchen/bathroom at the centre of the house. It is preferred that at the `centrepoint' of the house (best to have clear space). Hopefully; try to avoid if possible: the toilet bowl / stove directly at this centrepoint. Objects that are `off-centre' to this can still be acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Lets look at this example where there is a bad #5 around. For example:- Mountain Star is #5 and Water Star is #9; Here, we must apply the Five elements concept. ASSOCIATION ONE: #9 = Fire element irregardless whether it falls under the Mountain or Water Star. In this example, we often say the the Water star #9 is being exhausted by earth star #5. Thus, overall, it is said that the Water Star is being block or wealth (water star) is blocked. Please note that the above still relies on the five elements concept. ASSOCIATION TWO: #9 from now to 2023 is the COMING PROSPERITY In addition, the knowledge that from now to 2023:- #8 = current prosperity #9 = COMING prosperity (e…

i can't move the dog to another house cos i only own 1 house. and its quite a small one, so i can't "keep the dog away from me" too. it doesn't help that i like dogs, and so is my wife. so i was wondering if there was any way both me and the dog can co-exist in the same house. good thing is my dog did not die during the 2 years she was here with me, but i was thinking things may be better if there is no "clashing". any suggestions? thanks for the help

TThese are some considerations: 1. Under the Holy Trinity of Luck; there are three kinds of luck: 1.1. Heaven Luck or born with (Ba Zi)1.2. Earth Luck or Feng Shui of the home or office1.3. Human or Man Luck (also generally about feeling good or not that comfortable with the table/desk setting of your office). 2. While in this case, Para 1.1. may not apply directly; 2.1. We now look at either Earth Luck or Human/Man Luck. 2.2. Earth Luck or Feng Shui:- 2.2.1 It would be nice if your office location has good Feng Shui (from applying both Shapes and Forms and Flying Stars). Shapes and Forms is also about a location perhaps with some views or if a non-aircon office; perhaps …

Dear Rus Chua, Rus Chua wrote: I am now 15 week pregnant with my first child.I wonder if it is alright for me to do some carpentry works such as construct a built-in cabinet and install a new double decker junior bed set in the children room? I also plan to discard the existing furniture. Frankly, this is not recommended. This is because most chinese believes feel that having to deal with nails or sharp tools can often lead to miscarriage. So not really a good idea for you to participate in carpentry works. Best to leave it to other family members in the house or wait until you have given birth. Rus Chua wrote: I would also like to seek professional help in choosing the…

Dear Anon, 1. It is more important to find out how long one spents time at that location. 2. Usually, a protruding corner can easily be solved in the living room by adjusting the furniture. So long as one avoids sitting at the location of the pointed arrow, this would suffice. 3. For the bedroom this is harder to avoid especially if one has a small room or have built in furniture. Ideally, it is best to avoid having poison arrows in the first place. I guess no one would like to if they can avoid, poison arrows aimed at their bed. If possible the poison arrow should not be aimed at the bed or part of the body. 4. As for plants i.e. artifical plants, in my opinion, after lo…

Dear Tigger's Mom, Please see below:- However, if the plot of land is almost flat or level and if there is a view towards NE, than one can also arrange the home to become a NE facing home. Or alternatively, if the home so happens to have a double 8 at a specific sector, one can make this the busiest part of the home. What you can do is to do "zero base" Feng Shui, or work out the best placement of e.g. living room, main door, bedroom areas etc... i.e. several alternatives to see if one can further fine tune the layout to optimize on as many Feng Shui factors such as Eight House best directions (Ba Zhai) and also work on the Flying Star numbers: the purpose is to o…

Thank you for replying. You are very generous with your information. I misspoke in my original post....I wrote that the back of the house would look to the view in the NE. That should be NW. Do you have graduates from your courses who live in the US who I could contact to have them look at the site? I live in the NW portion of North Carolina. OR could information such as a house layout, topography map, site map and other peritinent information be supplied to you for further evaluation? From what I know from my studies and from what you have mentioned, I am 98% sure that this site and house plan are good for us, but since we hope this is the last home we live in (for many…

1. In addition, one must remember that we are in a modern society with internet connection. 2. Nowadays, nearly every part of the whole, Feng Shui is practised. And logically, how is it possible for everyone to be able to obtain the exact 6 series of coins? 3. A good Feng Shui practitioner will always tell their clients, not to "over spent" unnecessarily on - commercial Feng Shui products. Thus, to activate a "mountain" a simple red brick could be just as effective as an amertyst stone costing US$1K! 4. Thus, imagine we are on a ship, and it has a leak. Why pathe it with gold? Ultimately, the ship is sinking if we do not fix the leak, first! And the gold (or your gold …

1. Sorry to hear about your problems. 2. Have taken a look at the three photos. Two of the photos, relating to the views taken of the tree and your main entrance = from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui point of view - seems OK. 3. The huge tree trunk seems to be slicing thru the large windows. Most likely this is your living room? Thus based on external Shapes and Forms, it is good that you should try to disarm or neutralise this threat from the tree. 4. As the tree trunk seems to pose a "threat" to the home, please see attachment:- Marking A - most effective if you can place a convex mirror as shown in the diagram Marking B - if the convex mirror has been placed; i…

I have a birch tree in front of my house, more to the South East. One third of this tree seems to be dead and some big branches are falling. Shall I cut it and remove the roots completely, shall I cut just the dead parts, shall I keep the stump hoping it will revive? Shall I plant another tree immediately after removing it? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
