Dear Carlos, 1. In my opinion, this may not be the correct way to solve your problems. 2. A Ba Gua mirror is often used to either: 2.1 Ward of evil and/or 2.2 Neutralise Sha Qi (poison arrows). (For example, a house located at a `T' junction. 3. Often, it is placed outside the main entrance door or above the window of a house. 4. Otherwise, it is best to check out what is wrong i.e. are there any leaks externally or internally in the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nguyen, Frankly, what you had mentioned is a relatively common situation. In the bedroom, it is best that the spouse who has a favourable element sleeps closer to the good intangible force sector. For example, if North is an `excellent' sector for the husband. While it is e.g. `spook' for the wife. And the bedroom happens to be in the north sector. Here, try to have the husband sleep closer to north compass direction. While wife sleeps further away. Use the husband as a `shield'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Evelyn, Thanks for your sketch. From the look of it, it seems that your main door opens directly to the balcony. Can I confirm whether is there a straight path of `air' flowing from the main door directly out to the balcony? Or do you have a screen or partition. If this is the case, it is more important to get a screen rather than to get a dragon. Even if one wants to use a dragon figurine, it should be on a wall, facing out of the house e.g. thru an opening such as a window. It must not be allowed to faced a blank wall. Yes, a dragon figurine can help improve on yang qi in the house but, caution about where to place it. It should preferably not also be placed inside…

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. In your situation, you should use Period 7 instead of Period 6. 2. The rationale is because; the convenience store is considered as the `heart' of the gas station. As it commands central focus and where human activity centres e.g. billing office, cashiers' counter and some customers walk up to this place. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, When drawing a map or physically at the moment, it is not feasible to move the "qi of the centrepoint" since this is suppose to be the centre-of-gravity. Looks like you have to live with this wall. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lakshmanan, We have to take note that Feng Shui and other Divinity methods is all about trying to increase/improve our luck. Therefore, it is difficult to give a one-liner answer to your question. In fact, Feng Shui or divinity methods should be a holistic method that one can use to improve our luck in all `compartments'. Thus, from my personal experience, trying to improve a particular sector of a house e.g. North = career WILL not be as effective as applying sensible methods to include the following:- A. Protect, protect and protect - There is no such thing as 100 percent perfect homes. We must ensure that our house is properly protected e.g. from poison arrows …

Dear Anon, Yes, in my opinion, often, a higher weightage goes to the owners who are staying in the home. For the occupants, it has more to do with their own bedroom, but as one knows, this is only one room as compared to an entire home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Carmen, Generally for landed property, then it is usally the facing of the house itself most of the time where your drive into the home. This is usually considered the frontage of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Robert Lee As one have to avoid facing Tai Sui either to place bed or sitting. Should I place my bed facing my good sctor or to avoid facing my good sector as to avoid facing Tai Sui. If I were to place my bed face my good sector in another word my bed is facing Tai Sui. If I place my bed in an inauspicious sector which mean avoiding facing Tai Sui. Which is the best solution. Thank as always with regards Sophia Chia

My main door, kitchen entrance door and door of utility room are all in a straight line. Please see attached floor plan for a better understanding. Is installing a curtain in the middle or back door alright to rectify the issue ? If yes, any requirements on the types of curtains? Please help me with your professional opinion and advice. Thank you Master. Most appreciated. Raymond

Dear Anamika, The main important thing to do is to find the centrepoint of the house. You can follow the instructions below:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm to find the centrepoint of the home and subdivide the home into the relevant compass grids either 9 divisions or 8 divisions depending on one's comfort zone. The url, here can help you understand how to do a step-by-step guide... http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the main issue is related to where the fish tank is placed. If it is close to the centre-point of the house, this is highly inauspicious. Frankly, so far, I have not commonly seen a fish tank facing the bedroom. If you can, try to see if there is a better place e.g. in the living room area if possible. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Emy, Usually, there could be more with regards to bad Feng Shui of the house. It is best to confirm if there are any more `leaks' e.g. try standing at the main door and each window and look out. Check for any other threats e.g. angle or poison arrow(s) aimed at your home. Also, any Shapes and Forms problems with regards to the site, land and home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Peck Wun Please see below:- Last month, while doing a house audit, I noticed that my client also stayed at a long corridor. In addition to this, my client's house is also at a long corridor. Please refer to the attached illustration file. In this file you can notice that from inside the house, one can see a neighbour's directional sign (with an arrowhead) slicing thru the main door. This is indeed a threat to my client's house. With such a threat, one has no choice but to use a Ba Gua mirror to neutralise such a threat. Unless, one can speak nicely to the neighbour and hopefully, they take down this threat. Else, one needs to neutralise it. In public housing, …

hi anon, I think having a mortuary next to a pharmacy is not ideal. The yin energy from the mortuary is too strong. It may affect the good feng shui of the pharmacy. Just my personal opinion. Steven L.

Dear Anon, Ideally, this is not good. But, I know of many new developments or a few developments that are already 4 to 5 years old with a toilet above the entrance e.g. Corporation Drive townhomes. But, fortunately, better Feng Shui was practised to redress any other leaks. In my opinion, a toilet above is not the best. But, it can be considered as one major leak. Therefore, if possible a home should not have more than 3 or more of such leaks else it may give riseto problems. Usually, also, it is best that the home "fits" the ba zi of the breadwinners. If so, thesewould lead to fewer leaks. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jack, The best way is to get the center of the house from the layout plan. This is because sometimes when you stand in the center of the house, you might miss the center or find it virtually impossible due to a wall or pillar which prevents you from being at the center of the house. Please see Cecil's Compass method to help you determine the main door direction accurately. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Thanh, 1. Based on the Compass School method of Feng Shui, it is best to avoid (especially the toilet bowl - sewerage pipes) located exactly at `defined positions'. 2. Under Eight House theory: it is best not to have the toilet bowl at true compass directions i.e. North 0 degrees, NE 45 degrees, East 90 degrees, SE 135 degrees etc.. 3. The rationale here is that should one of these sectors is a good sector, this may not be auspicious. 4. If we go `deeper' using the Flying Star analysis; then; it is best to avoid having it at 15 degree intervals e.g. 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees etc... 5. I personally feel that using a small round mirror (may not be e…
