Dear Dagne, 1. I believe you are referring to the Luck Periods under your personal Ba Zi. 2. For professional Feng Shui assessment, such luck period are looked at together with your birth element and strength. 3. The factors under 2, are taken when the house Feng Shui, exterior and interior are assessed. 4. Under Para 2 above, if your Ba Zi luck periods are no good, and especially if your house Feng Shui is not good either; this is like a vicious cycle of problems. 5. And I personally believe, your present home has at least 2 major leaks. The most common are:- 5.1 Toilets at wrong locations 5.2 Odd shaped / house with missing corners 5.3 House does not match the ba zi of…

Dear Jen, 1. The Year of Horse (2002) is fast disappearing. 2. For the Chinese, we will be celebrating the New Chinese Lunar New Year on 1 February 2003. 3. For Year of Horse 2002, Grand Duke is sitting at 180 degrees facing North 0 degrees. 3.1 Exactly opposite the Grand Duke is known as the 3 killings location. 3.2 For the Grand Duke at 180 degrees, must avoid disturbing or touching him. 3.3 For the 3 killings location, simply avoid any renovations at this sector for Year of Horse 2003 (only). 4. For Year of the Water Goat, 2003, Grand Duke will be moving towards SSW 210 degrees. And the 3 killings is at 30 degrees. (Apologies Please ignore any of my recent postings a…

Dear Micky, The period 8 built house can be generated by selecting period 8 period when you create a flying star profile. The house will not fly to the period automatically unless you effect a change. Thus, any report created under period 7 will remain a period 7 house chart. For the yearly flying star, the 2005 stars will be available once you pass the Chinese Lunar New Year. The current year is still 2004. All our concepts on the website follow a standard calendar format ieChinese Lunar Calendar. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Michael, In my opinion, you can keep music as a hobby. But do not let this deter you if there are opportunities to strike it off, since most probably you are still young. Warmest Regards, Cecil Thanks, Michael

Dear Julie, 1. Usually, if you are able to hire a competent practitioner you may be able to tilt the door to one of your favourable directions. This is killing two birds with one stone ie. from inauspicious sector to a good facing direction favourable to the person's ba zi. 2. Alternatively, on this same issue, there could be a possibility you can use another door that is more suited. 3. But, this is not the worst case scenario, where it is at the death or disaster sector. 4. In addition, you might like to see if you improve other areas using shapes and forms and compass school feng shui to improve your luck further. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, Frankly, in the past most of the "Feng Shui" of a shopping complex is done-up either based on intuition or via Feng Shui advice on the construction i.e. type of external design of say a shopping complex. Here, if a geomacer is tasked the job, he will do an environmental scanning of the surrrounding buildings andadvise on the type of structure. For example, if the neighbourhood is made up of largely of earth buildings or buildings that are squarish or rectangular in shape, a geomancer may advise that the owner build a building is in the form of a wood element e.g. tall structure e.g. like a trunk. For example, for those in Singapore, good examples are: 1. BA…

Dear Shellei, Reference url: http://www.lovesigns.net/astrology/ayear/a60-80.htm 11 Feb 1975 to 30 Jan 1976 = Wood-Rabbit 31 Jan 1976 to 17 Feb 1977 = Fire-Dragon Since your friend's birthdate falls between 11 Feb 75 to 30 Jan 1976, he/she should be considered under the Rabbit Chinese zodiac sign. (Since the Year of Dragon 1976 only begins on 31 Jan 1976). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sir, I would like to know what is the Feng Shui point of view if I hang a mirror on the exterior of the bathroom door which is also attached to my bedroom. Is it ok to also place my dressing table mirrordirectly facing the "mirrored bathroom door"??? Is it true that we can minize the bad effects in the bathroom if we hang a windchime??? Is so, then what kind of windchime is suitable??? Thank you.

Dear White, 1. Frankly, this does not come under the perview of Feng Shui. 2. Often, it is based on location, location, location and the selling price. 3. But, currently with the glut in the property market i.e. where buyers are spoilt for choice, it really - unfortunately makes it much harder to sell even if it is near to the valuation price. 4. Overall, based on many Real Estate agent's advice: 4.1 Try not to clutter the house with too many furniture. 4.2 Try to touch up areas or walls that are dirty. Otherwise, Feng Shui is not the way to go, here. Unless, you can find good `Feng Shui' points. Here again, one man's meat is another man's poison. Wishing you all the b…

Dear Shadeeda, Unfortunately, it is not possible to fix a suitability issue. You either suit the house or not. How else can you correct the problem except to change the direction of the home (ie move to a another house which is more suitable). Same for bedroom, bed position, if a sector of the house or bed position isn't suitable, then try to change to a different bedroom or sleep in a different bed position. This is not something which you can just correct unlike other concepts like an unbalanced flying star sector which you can attempt to balance the sector. Failing an analysis in one theory does not mean that your entire feng shui is bad. Just like an exam, if you f…

Dear Anon, 1. I would take it as a `belief' or symbolism, then Feng Shui. 2. Often, we hear the term, if you are the `boss' one should behave like one. Thus, if one is the owner of the house, often, it is the belief that the owner (breadwinner) should occupy the master bedroom. 3. In my opinion, your question has few precedence or not common to many households. Thus, your guess is good as mine! 4. Often, under `commonsense approach' it is best to occupy any room (other than the store). This is because, if we do close the door of a room too long, it may have `stale air' or stagnant qi. 5. If the is closed entirely for a week or more, air in the room may progress to `suffo…

Dear Desmond, One must always realise that Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all sorts of problems. Feng Shui main goal is to attempt to create a nice environment that everyone will feel comfortable in it. Once you feel comfortable with the environment thing should go much better for you. In terms of an Office Environment, there are a lot more factors which is beyond Feng Shui. Such as Boss and Employee relationship. There is no amount of Feng Shui that can change the attitude of a boss to an employee. This is more towards Human Luck or Human to Human relationship or even Employee to Employee relationship. I mean if you do your job well, and the boss still picks on …

We are looking to expand Bed2 and Bed3 towards North by 5 feet (currently there's porch there which we want to move inside by moving the walls). Dear Utpal, Flying Star Feng Shui uses the common lowest denominator: The Five elements concept. (Yin and Yang is higher up under this pyramid). Pillars of destiny also uses the Five elements concept. Often, it is crucial to find out what is one's element and strength e.g. weak wood person. If this has been determined: for a weak wood person:- Favourable elements are: Water (blue, black or grey) and Wood (green or brown). Unfavourable elements are: Fire (red, pink or purple) and Metal (white or gold). The wealth element of a weak wood person is: Earth Earth (yellow, cream or beige). But take note that this wealth element is not favourable to a weak wood person. It is good…

Dear Jillian, Congratulations on your new flat. Frankly, the best tip not just for yourself but for everyone who simply wants to create a harmonious environment or even troubleshoot. Is to always ensure that your Heaven, Earth and Human Luck are all in harmony. Particularly, Earth Luck which has an adverse impact on your overall luck. 1. Heaven Given Luck - which is luck that is given to you when you are born. Knowing your ba zi element, willl allow you to know what colour for decorating you home, or what career beings you best luck, what people helps you in your career etc. You can make use of the free ba zi report on our member area website to determine your birth el…

Dear Vivien, Please see below:- Usually, many FS practitioners consider the frontage as the location where: 1. there is often "clear space". For example, such as often, the car drives up to the front of the home (and /or) 2. There is a noticeable distinction of having a living room at the frontage and where often, the back is much part of the kitchen/ storeroom/backyard / laundry area. 3. Often also, if a home is "back-to-back" with one another, many homes have their back with the back of it's neighbour's home. 4. Please note that the above is not conclusive but rather, it depends on each individual situation. But it should be quite a reasonble guide. 6.…

Dear Cindy, 1. Since the current wealth sector is the water star #8, try to locate this sector in your home. This sector should be activated especially if it is in the living room or a clear space location. 2. Sometimes, it may not be all that best to simply locate the "wealth sector". As I mentioned that one of the key success factors is to "Fix-the-leaks, first". 3. Here, if you have sectors like a double #7 e.g. in the living room and if the current wealth location is not in this sector, perhaps, the water position can be used at this alternative spot, instead of activating your wealth sector. This is because, such leaks are considered more serious than enhancing a …

Dear Joan, Frankly, if this is your home (not shared or rental), it is best to have clear space e.g. air-circulate around the room rather than have a portable screen (since this is the side of bed facing the door) and not one's leg facing the door. If you do feel uncomfortable, then in the evening, simply close the bedroom door. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear William, For move in date, what is usually needed is the Name, Gender & Dateof birth(& if possible hour of birth) of the Breadwinner and Spouse. You will also need the date range which you plan to move into the house. ie Jul 2005 to Aug 2005 etc. It would seem that your house will be completed about a year later, so why not look for the date nearer that time. Unless of course, you meant Aug 2004. We have an auspicious date for two person to help you narrow down the best possible date for that month. You can use that to help you find a move in date, start of renovation etc. But it will require which months to search into. Something similiar to our Monthly…
