From a Chinese perspective, there are "two concerns" here:- 1. This is more relevant. Three openings especially if they are totally in-line often means wealth coming in and exiting directly. Thus, it is said that money comes and goes out immediately. It is thus good that qi should not be in a direct path especially "leaking" from one side to the other or vice versa. 2. The Chinese belief that "spirits" especially bad spirits can only go in a straight line. Thus, in many instances, you will notice that Chinese platform bridges are always "turning" 90 degrees until it reaches the final span. And equally, landscaping in a garden leading towards a door is often in an "S' cu…

Dear Anon, Thank you for the illustration. The second door you mentioned in the illustration seems to be a passage way rather than a door. As the doors are on the side, I cannot see any other doors directly facing your "always" opened office room door. Thus from a shapes and forms point of view, it is perfectly acceptable to have this type of arrangement. Furthermore, your office table is away from this passage way which is good and that you had mentioned that this is an excellent facing direction for you.

Dear Cecil, What do you think about the birth time of the house? Does the house belong to periode 6 or 7? Btw, we have red pavement in the frontage (North). In fact, the majority of the frontage is red colored. Does it matter? Thanks in advance. I began construction on my house in the west in November 2006 and will be completing it soon. Since the three killings are in the west for 2007, I need to know is there is something that I can do for protection, as we are set to resume construction any day now. Thanks In Advance, Toya

Further to what I had mentioned, I am always sentimental to such issues because, many already face hard-ship. And does these people have the conscience to further "plunder" these poor people? Do you want to drive them into further desperation? Since it is much more easier to "push" these products to them then anyone else! Even her "15 eye Dzi bead" cannot help, you still consider a lower number of eye Dzi bead... Surely.. my toes are laughing all the way... for those buying such rubbish! Pure and simple, rubbish!

Dear Xin Xin, 1. The two traditional and thus considered authentic schools of Feng Shui originated from China: Shapes and Forms and Compass School. 2. As Chinese culture and beliefs has spread to many cultures, Tibet is very close to, and now part of China. 3. The Black Hat (BTB) Sect or often called the Black Hat Tantric Sect - has a major part to play with the marketing of Tibetan stuff especially, the mystic of the Tibetan bells etc... 4. To many Tradtional Feng Shui Schools, this is not an authentic school. But many of the authentic schools have considered BTB as a marketing ploy. With its strong association of fixed template FS and various products etc.... 5. Perhap…

Dear Gordon, If you live in a domitory or short of space e.g. a rented room, frankly, there is really no issue in this. Look at it this way, many educated people have lived in domitories and were successful after their studies. More... Some Feng Shui practitioners, I understand, are against this, because they were afraid that qi cannot flow underneath a bed. But, there are many families who allow their young ones e.g. age between 1 to 5 years old - to sleep on a mattress on the floor. And in many cultures, often, people sleep on the floor or floor mat. And there are no adverse problems. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In general, a crane symbolises longevity. And also the phoenix. During weddings, one can often find the wedding card with the dragon (male) and phoenix (female) diagram in an embrance. Otherwise the tiger-crane combination is more unique to the Martial Arts. And thus no major significance when combined together unlike the dragon - tiger or dragon - phoenix (crane) combinations. Tina M. wrote: Sorry I dont know how to reply to the answer you have given me about my tattoo. I made a mistake and put dragon and tiger in the subject but explained in the message text that I have learnt a the tiger-crane combination, not dragon and tiger and want to have a tattoo of both animal…

Quote: Anonymous wrote: Master Lee, Thank you for your reply to my previous posts. I am here with another question: What can I do to rectify my tiger and dragon. Mtiger side of the house is higher than the dragon side. What are the possible conseqence of such a case, and what are the remedies to correct this. Thank you very much As you are aware, you are asking a question based on the exterior of your home: Can you physically change or control the exterior? Yes/No? Well, you think about it....

Dear Andreea, 1. In my opinion, Chinese Astrology like its cousin ( Western Zodiac signs ) provides a description of the `traits' of a person belonging to a `sign'. 2. I feel that these signs or readings if one consciously or unconsciously read about what it is like for a person, sometimes, we may tend to `believe' that our `traits' or characterstics are like that described. This may lead to `auto suggestion' and some of us may `follow' such characteristics. 3. For example, if we read that a `Rat person' is:- The Rat person is charming and ambitious. They are always busy and seldom able to relax fully. If not, they get bored easily or get bad tempered. They enjoy going t…

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here, as things are getting pretty desperate. I have placed a tiger facing the toilet to scare the bad energy. is that good? Please help. Also i have a turtle on top of 2 turtles. What does it symbolize and where should i keep it? And another question, how can someone with Kua 2 activate their career luck. Two friends I know, both Kua 2, gal and guy are in need of activating their career luck...as they have had very bad luck with finding jobs in the US. P…

Dear Anon, Note: this domain or message, is not Feng Shui but rather Chinese Horoscope based on the Year of birth:- 1. Based on Chinese astrology, the worst "hit" Tiger is the Water-Tiger born under 5 Feb 1962 to 24 Jan 1963 2. While the worst two Monkeys are those born in the year of the Metal-Monkey: 2.1 Metal-Monkey born between 20 Feb 1920 to 7 Feb 1921 2.2 Metal-Monkey born between 16 Feb 1980 to 4 Feb 1981 3. Where possible, these three groups should avoid attending a funeral or if (as a last resort) should not be there to view the closing of the coffin. 4. For buddhists or toaists, under Chinese beliefs, it is good to make an offering at a temple - to receive ble…

Dear Jo, 1. Usually no one does that especially pasting it e.g. on a main entrance door. (Under commonsense), it would not be appropriate to come up to the main door and greeted by a tiger with its mouth opened. 2. For the belief on `guardians' of the main door , for example, usually, they come in pairs e.g. two lion statues on each side of the door. 3. Even in some Chinese homes or temples, you see two door Gods on each side of the door. 4. Perhaps, one can have two split image of the tigers on a door. But usually this is not the norm but rarely if some does it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned, if the glass blocks are squarish or rectangular - piled together to form a "wall", this is OK. Do avoid circular glass blocks - much like the pothole of a ship or those found on a ship i.e. circular windows. Here, circle is considered not auspicious especially since it could symbolise a "sinking" ship. Where, the pothole of a ship seeps in water and thus sinks a ship. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Yes, this is one option. But from past experience, it may not be that effective especially with regards to the Flying Star Feng Shui. Since, often, the facing direction is the frontage and the sitting is directly opposite this. It has more to do with the Eight House theory. Where, we can kill two birds with one stone. For example, if the main door is at NE. Tilting it, to the favourable direction of the breadwinner is good - chiefly if we apply Eight House theory. For Flying Star Feng Shui, often, it is the location with most light or wind activity - and this is where we should determine where the "mouth" of the house is based on where the entire plot is "fac…

Frankly, look at it this way, you are there to take a reading and you did say that your reading of the facade was something like S1. I have already mentioned my views on tilting a door e.g. from S1 to S2. Overall; no geomancer is on the ground. Thus, the ball is on your court. If your reading is accurate; fine. But if it is G.I.G.O. then really.. (full stop) P.S. For new members; what is G.I.G.O. can be found under this sample link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27534&new=

Thanks for the prompt answer Master Lee. As you'e said, NE facing isn't really that bad. The overall structure is best though, except for where it faces, also, I failed to mention, upon opening the main door from inside, you can see a water tower in a distance, most likely in the east but is a bit far and cannot cast a shadow. Are there any effect on us?

Dear Anon, Frankly, we have conducted at least greater than 9,000 Feng Shui audits based on the influence on China timing. We still feel that this is accurate for the following reasons: 1. Many Masters use Pillars of Destiny use only the Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. Furthermore, time of birth can even be left out if not known. 2. Some people give the false notion that it must be based on GMT time. But GMT time even has been changed in 1980 or other periods for some countries. 3. Chinese timing is based on two hourly timings unlike the 1 hour time we are used to. 4. Even if we want to consider latitude, we must also consider longitude in such a senario where GMT ti…

1.In my opinion, the lowest common denominator is the five elements concept. 2. How easy to apply a model or concept. So long as the concepts and method are sound, it is based on how easily it can be properly understood and applied. 3. Ultimately, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is in my opinion most critical. Feng Shui cannot live without Shapes and Forms, but may survive without Flying Star and it's variant. 4. Thus in my opinion, if the concepts or models are based on Flying star, even the distant cousin nine star key belongs to this school.

Dear Carrie, We have been looking into this issue for quite sometime. Initially, we were toying with time zones but based on the work done by Robert and myself, we prefer to take the season or time of influence from China. Let me explan why:- 1. Countries like Singapore is exactly on the same time zone as Beijing China. Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan are equally within the same time zone. Even Perth Australia is exactly on the same time belt as Beijing. The rationale is because Chinese hour is two hours and not one hour. 2. Some western FS practioners use the time zone but did not take into account both the longetude and latitude. Bearing in mind these two influences, fo…
