Dear Nancy, 1. I have looked thru the photo & layout you sent to my email account. 2. Overall, your plot of land is not an ideal shape. Units 5402 and 5401 are at a `T' junction and for these two units at the end of the road, preferably the main doors should not be in direct alignment to the road. Your home and the opposite house (5408) plus units 5402 and 5401 are in a configuration "close to" the Yang Zhai Shi Shu where three houses `meet'. This is considered a `bad' layout (not "fatal" but bad) in that it signifies `family will not be rich'. 3. The above is based on a three house layout. But with the four house layout, it looks similar to the above. Hopefully, it …

Dear Ruby, Based on Chinese Astrology, the following is a brief information:- 22 Jan 1947 to 9 Feb 1948 Fire-Pig: 1887, 1947 With the fire element, this pig is more ambitious, energetic, domineering and courages. Is generous, tolerant but is more self-centred. Is more willing to take up new challenges and can be successful but if failure sets in will be a broken wreck. This pig has fixed ideas and more obstinate and will not easily give in to other's opinion. 10 Feb 1948 to 28 Jan 1949 Earth-Rat: 1888, 1948 Is pramatic, honest and family oriented. Is self centre and has trouble dealing with others although he is soft spoken. Is self centred but has lots of determinated. I…

Dear Anon, No, only one set of coins i.e. 6 coins should be placed there. (Since the report refers only to one sector but analysed using different time periods). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, So far, I have not come across such a message in this forum. Brooms are considered inauspicious objects and should not be hung outside the main door. The only questions, I remembered users posting was when one should not sweep the floor (i.e. especially on Chinese New Year day) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carina, In this website, all dates which are input/keyed in is your western date. It is more user friendly to keyin one's western date as few know exactly their Lunar dates. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Ideally, it is best to look at the layout chart i.e. if the outside wall is parallel to the inside wall and on the same `line' or sector, it is better to place it at the outside wall. But if the outside wall comes close to other sectors, then it is best to place it inside the toilet. If it is placed in the toilet, check the condition of the coins regularly. Or alternatively, `seal' it in a water proof plastic. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, It is not advisable to place water at the right side as the belief is that it may lead to `illicit affairs' (although a water position is acceptable). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. One should not reverse the North/Sough directions mapping at Southern Hemisphere. 2. Some Feng Shui practitioners in the Southern Hemisphere has mentioned to do so, but so far, there is no concrete proof to do so. 3. It is best to use the same model for both the North and South. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The purpose is to tie the coins securely. I believe you can use one set of string it with. If you need more than that, then get a thicker and longer string. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, This can be a subjective issue: Do we consider symbolism or mass? 1. Under Symbolism, 6 coins represent Big metal or the largest metal element available. 2. If one consider `mass', as in your 5 inch high statute, it does certainly have mass. If you already have such an object, then, avoid adding the 6 coins. 3. "Strange" as it is, Small metal is represented by the number 7. Thus 7 coins represent Small metal. Here, one will notice that it does not matter if there are less coins: 1 coin fewer for `Big Metal' as compared to `Small metal'. 4. Usually, the problem faced is to cure or neutralise with 6 coins and seldom if ever,we use the 7 coins which is less effec…

Dear Shellie, Traditional Feng Shui does not have a simple solution to a problem. We like to emphaise that our main aim is to help users to either fine tune or help elaborate and clear their minds. We do not analyse `raw materials' provided to us. Such as giving us birth dates and expecting us to do all the work. There are available tools for this. Alternatively, we always advise anyone who are in a real hurry, go get a Feng Shui practitioner Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Al, Please see below:- Please note that Eight House cannot be used as a cure as the Eight house does not relate to the Five Elements Concept. There need not necessary be a cure for devil's gate. As mentioned earlier, the Eight House cannot be used to implement changes or `cure' imbalances. Although you have mentioned the #2 and #5 as base numbers, I have also mentioned that #2 and #5 relating to water and mountain star has to be considered. And this has to be analysed in relation to each other. Without, the full picture, and what are the imbalances at each sector, I am really unable to properly advise you. It is not advisable to use Gua (Kua numbers) / E…

Dear Carina, It is advisable not to hang a mirror facing the main entrance. But this can still be done, especially if one has done a full Feng Shui audit. Usually, pictures e.g. nice paintings or calligraphy are acceptable. If your neighbour is a Chinese, it is advisable not to hang a Ba Gua mirror or even the shape of it. As this may trigger a Ba Gua `war'. A Ba Gua `war' is a lose-lose situation. Nobody wins. I recounted, a situation, where I noticed one neighbour placed a ba gua mirror on their main door. The neighbour had no choice but to place a convex Ba Gua mirror to reflect back. No one wins here. Although you quite rightly mentioned that the profile of th…

Dear Carrie, 1. I am not sure if you have tried the method under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm It is easier to use an ordinary compass. 2. All you need to do is to determine the direction of the main entrance door with reference to the centrepoint. 3. If one has purchased a Chinese Luo Pan, one would have seen that the needle is small and `difficult' to read properly the exact compass direction. Here, one should use a large compass i.e. not hand held but big ones placed on a floor for greater accuracy. 4. The best method is to use the Surveyor's method as highlighed under the above URL mentioned. 5. Alternatively, simply get hold of a survey company and pay…

The reason saltwater is that it contains sodium ions which like metal is a conductor. Interestingly this would mean the sea itself would be metal !!

Dear Alice, Nowadays, it is harder to apply Pillars of Occupation as I mentioned earlier that much of our work or for white collar workers much of our work relates / involves the computer. In general, we should still take into consideration our `core' work e.g. Accounting work. Overall, one way to look at it is that we should consider computers as tools to aid in our work. It is not like one who does computer programming but rather, most of us are simply users of ready made software such as Microsoft Word, Excel etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, Grateful, if you can draw a simple sketch as it will be clearer to see/understand. If you can how far is the `threat' and is there a road between your house and your neighbours. If so, roughly how wide is the road? Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please post it to the conference for attachments. Thanks in advance.

Dear Anon, As requested please find three favourable situations of bedrooms with windows on various sides of the room (no attached bathrooms) Please wait, file loading...File size = 16.7K All three layout plans: A, B and C are favourable. In the event that the bed faces a toilet door, one can place a side table with a table lamp to act as a `screen' or barrier between the toilet door and the bed.
