A bathroom near a side/back entry to clean up after work or use during work, is it common sense? Or bad feng shui?

Hi Cecil, Thanks again for continuing to provide such a great resource. I hope this question is general enough. I've read that a bathroom near an entry door is considered less desirable for feng shui. However, a common use case in some parts of the world is to have a bathroom and laundry room close to a side/back entry to clean up and change clothes in before entering the living areas of the home, e.g. after yard/garden/woodworking/farm/automobile work, or to have easy access to a bathroom while working on these kinds of projects. This prevents mud, leaves, sawdust, engine oil, etc from being tracked into the living areas of the home. How would you bal…

My grandmother has passed away 1 week ago but I want to buy HDB resale apartment to live nearby my workplace. I read that I need to wait 100 days after her passing before I can move in. Within these 100 days: Can I still go for housing viewing right now? Can I buy HDB resale apartment right now? Can I collect key if I manage to buy one? Can I open the HDB door for renovation? I understand that there is open ceremony and I have to find an auspicious date to open the door. So do I have to wait 100 days before I can open the door? If yes, I will have to wait until almost mid July. Then, allow ID to renovate my house. I guess during renovation p…

Dear Master Lee I would like to seek your advice for my partner's behalf. His now has a new office room but the layout does not look favourable. The 1 side of room with glass wall, 2 sides of the room with windows has beams and columns/pillars. If the 45 degree from the room door is wealth position, then the wealth position has a big rectangular column and there is beams on top. I would like to know which is more feasible in my proposed Plan A or Plan B. Appreciate your advise. For Plan A, my considerations are: 1) Big beam over the head, 2) back is window 3) odd column For Plan B, my considerations are: 2) Big beam over the head, 2)…

Dear Cecil, My brother owns a beautiful East facing house which he wants to sell to me. I'm a strong water, and East is wood. From the elemental view, that's good, but I haven't bought the house because East is also my death direction. If I'm a renter instead of an owner, will I still be affected by the death direction?

Hello. I just arrived in HK 2 weeks ago to work. I'm moving in to my new apartment on Sept 16. I am alone here in HK so want to make sure nothing inauspicious happens. I've researched and the house's direction is inauspicious in period 9. The facing direction is also in the west group. My kua is 5 (female). Is there still a cure? Right now the facing direction is SE-S, (area with big windows in the two bedrooms). If taken from the bedroom area, it's around 145-151 SE. If at the center facing the windows, we're getting 151 SE -161 S. SE is not so auspicious now for Period 7 house. Is there a way I can change the facing direction to S since the degree is so close…

Hello, I am about to purchase this semi-detached property but it has a rather non-typical layout (image below) with a tilted walkway which created a cut corner in the master bedroom. In terms of Feng Shui, is this good or bad? The living room has only 2 slim but high windows, I am thinking to hack the wall and create a large 2 panel doors opening to the yard to create some sort of flow, would it help?

Hello there! I am so very new to all this and would very much appreciate any assistance/ information/ resources but totally understand if my question is totally inappropriate! My husband and I have a camper car that we use for extensive trips touring our beautiful country. We adore our 'truck' and it is parked outside our unit on the street as it is too tall to fit in our garage. We are keen to keep it safe and secure with Fen Shui. Is there anything we can do to deter any negative energy that might be attracted to our camper so that is doesn't get stolen or damaged? Thank you!

Weak metal and strong fire
by Guest- 1 reply

Dear Colleen, Ref: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/5element.htm Under the destructive sequence: Fire destroys metal. Under the productive sequence: Fire helps Earth and Earth helps Metal. As you are a weak metal person, the strong Fire of your husband, destroys your weak metal, making it weaker. The best binding element is thus "Earth." If you notice carefully, Earth helps weak metal to grow. At the same time, it is `neutral' to the Fire element. How to apply the `binding element'. Here, Earth implies yellow colour or square. In your bedroom, or in locations where both of you spent time at, yellow colour such as pine wood or other yellow or square would help greatly. If you do…

Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned; we can draw a parallel to taking an examination or (test). For example: A person is taking a language examination (e.g. a second language other than the mother tongue such as Spanish or Mandarin.) In order to pass this examination we have to take the following tests:- The Mandarin Examination paper comprises:- SECTION 1: 1. An Oral conversation test. (10 marks out of 100 marks) Objective: This test is to show our ability to speak or converse in Mandarion. SECTION 2: 2. An essay test. (40 marks out of 100 marks) Objective: This test is to test our ability to write in mandarion. SECTION 3: 3. A final exam paper consisting of m…

Bell as metal cure?

Dear Steven, 1. Thanks very much for the information and most of us will look forward for the future phots of the antic bells. 2. There are quite alot of `inventions' or `cures' or enhancers in the market. Overall, I believe bells are near eqivalent of wind chimes as they make noise. Some Feng Shui practitioners prefer the use of grandfather (or pendulum) clocks as it makes a constant `tine' or tick tock metal sound. 3. In Hong Kong, some practitioners or manufacturers also come up with things like Qi detector. Once again, many thanks:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
