1. The abandoned house can affect the Feng Shui of your home. 2. One good news is that the plot is still rectangular in Shape. And so long as there are "open" spaces or "bright" areas (bright-hall effect) this is a plus point. 3. It also depends on the built up of the home itself. 4. in this world, I can recall there are long houses in Sarawak. And even in Vietnam; because of the long ago history of tax based on the frontage areas, some homes in Vietnam took advantage of this loop-hole and has a very narrow frontage but very long home much like the one you had outlined. 5. Please note that you have to respect copy-rights and cannot post the "google"type of map without lea…

These are some considerations: 1. Do take note that yin numbers are even: 2, 4, 6 or 8. 2. Yang numbers are 1, 3, 5 or 7. 3. In a 'yin' environment; in general, just check that if you had drawn a Flying Star chart: go thru the chart for sectors that purely have all yin stars. And check which area it is. If the room is not bright enough; then best is to let natural light flow in. (Other than a store room). 4. The most yang colours can be used in the home to neutralise yin stars: RED. 5. Lighting or natural lighting does help also to reduce the yin of the home.

This are some considerations: 1. Common sense Feng Shui 1.1. The stove should not be too close to a sidewall especially if later, one needs to place a large wok onto the stove. Here, if the wall is too close; the wok simply can't be placed onto the stove. In addition, if the stove is too close to the wall, flames will get to it. 1.2. For the Chinese, we often fry our food; thus it is often not a good idea to place any other items be it a cabinet or a fridge too close to the stove. Here, after a few months, the side of the fridge would often be soaked with deposits of cooking oil. 1.3. The stove should not have the neighbour's drainage pipe or sewerage pipe above the stove…

1. Frankly, it depends. 2. Thus the clash is dependant on what elements (which of the Five elements) clash with what element.

In my opinion, usually the furthest a geomancer would go into is if the person e.g. has too yin a chart.. and looking at the entire chart in a holistic way. Other than that, you seldom if ever see geomancers "dwell further into what you had mentioned". Overall: yin = passive and yang = active. I believe that so far, no one has done deep research into people with too yin or too yang a chart.

1. Friend, have you considered that the summary of elements of each individual changes every 10 YEARS? For example, look at this sample chart. When born his chart or Summary of Elements Looks like this Summary of all the Elements and it's Strength. Element Strength Percentage 3 Water Strongest 40 % 2 Wood Strong 21 % 2 Fire Extremely Weak 5 % 3 Earth Weakest 16 % 2 Metal Weak 16 % Changes in your Five Element Balance for 34 - 43 (2009 - 2018) Water Wood Fire …

Yes, you are right to point out that the poison arrow (concrete beam edge) in my opinion exerts around 1 metre range of sha qi or poison arrows. I only gave a quick glance of the layout plan; 1. Standing at the main door when looking into the kitchen, should not have a glimpse of sharp objects like knifes or scissors.. as based on Shapes and Forms, this is considered inauspicious. 1.1. While based on commonsense, it is rare but if someone were to run into the home, sees the knives; grap one and go threaten the family members... (More on commonsense, here). 2. In the event that the dining table can be seen thru the corridor of the main door area and orbedroom 3, then if t…

Oh! I forgot! This is a gentle reminder... It is totally unfair to look at your auspicious date only, hor! I mean, if the house belongs to the two of you, you should look at combined auspicious dates... Again, it won't be fair the the family members rite? One must also look at auspicious dates for family members: children and parents if they are staying with us.. Oh! Don't forget the pets also!

Further to what I had mentioned; the link below is a useful Paradigm or model to use to try to understand whether a concept can be linked to pure commonsense. http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach#What_is_the_Three-Step_Approach.3F Posted in: Info :: Feng Shui Tips & Guidelines Posted on: Fri, 11 Jan 2002, 21:03 PM

Frankly, if one has to apply proper authentic Feng Shui:- 1. Additional information like the "year of birth" of a home ; not just my house is 28 degrees.... 2. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui has to be considered; the exterior and the interior layout in relation to the feasiblity of placing a water position. 3. At best, no worries, here.. you could still practise "Trial and Error"; see where you like it then place it, there.

Okey, It is clear, excuses for the confusion. My intentions where good, I was honest about something I doubted, i hope u understand. Geomancy.net is the best communityI everfaced in my life, for cultural Identity directions that can be apllied in life. The layer of awarenes that implicates a certain basefor people to functionat full potential, is being activated once people areinformed of the feng shui theories. That is allI can sayas an Art student. once again Best regards andgood luck!

Dear Mr Cecil, You mentioned in Eight House Theory it is advisable that an East person should occupy an `East house'. For an East person, therefore, a favourable house is one where the frontage/main door is located at either:-EAST, NORTH, SOUTH or SOUTH EAST. I belong to East Group, my unit balcony frontage is facing South 3 as shown in the diagram. In this case my frontage become located in SouthWest which is bad location(sector) for an east kua group. Does this house consider east / west house? What happen if the facing is good but located in bad sector? Will I still benefit from this house?

These are some considerations:- 1) Must the safe box place in a particlular position or direction ? - It would be "Nice-to" have it placed at an auspicious mountain star e.g. Mountain star #8 or #1 location. 2) Must the safe be hidden in the wardrobe or must be cover up (In term of Feng Shui view) - Commonsense and not Feng Shui 3) Is the safe box consider Metal Element? So is it cannot place near window or toilet? - Whether it is metal element or not : it has no direct association with say a toilet or window. - Commonsense says that it is not advisable to place it near or next to a window. Especially if there are young ones at home. Else if house has no grille(s) or eve…

1. Frankly, it is common sense. 2. But this cow sense geomancer has to add these sentences... 2.1. As many of us know; in the English language: 2.2. We know what is the difference between a stove and an oven. How? 2.3. One cow sense way to differentiate the two is: 2.3.1 In the English vocab; we add an "a" in-front of stove. While since an oven starts with an "o" when we make a sentence out of "oven" we have to add "an" in-front of the word "oven" Right? 3. And since stove starts with S ; while oven starts with O: they are not the same rite? Got it? Get it? 4. Common sense says that the proper way to describe a microwave is not just microwave but mircowave OVEN. 5. So ar…

1. Thanks for making the effort to post the photos! Many Thanks! 2. In my opinion; I also personally feel that the zig zag staircase at the "frontage" does not seem to have good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: http://forum.geomancy.net/upload/Staircase%20Zig%20Zag.JPG 3. The above can be considered as a or ONE major leak. And the above link is not common and in plain sight is considered "quite ugly" and contributes to bring down the "luck of the home/apartment. 4. In order usually to have bad Feng Shui, a home and it's surroundings combined often need to have around 2 to 3 or more major "leaks". Anyway, this is beyond this free general advice forum. 5. Things like the straigh…

In my opinion these are some of the considerations:- 1. The Traditional Paradigm or Model is that the "six killings liu sha" signifies: things like scandals, missed opportunities & legal entanglements. 1.1. In particular, in the past; the Chinese like many societies; the girls or ladies live in a relatively conservative society and what would be worse was to have girls in one's family or home involved with scandals with opposite sex. This was unheard of as girls or ladies were suppose to stay at home and cook. 2. The Paradigm shift. 2.1. In modern times; women (girls & ladies) are often considered equals in many fields. And women are now involved in many differen…

1) May I know must stove, frigde and sink form 3 triangle angle like the one in the attachment? Is this the best combination in kitchen fengshu? - Please refer to my earlier reply. "Cow-sense" can explain this. 2) Can Conventional Oven/Microwave oven places besides a fridge? - No issue. Since as explained in the earlier thread, many geomancers consider a boxed up fridge as = metal element. Only some consider it water element. - For those who feel that it is a water element; perhaps; search for such fellows and you might want to post a question to that fella. 3) Can Conventional Oven/Microwave oven faced kitchen toilet or window? - For facing toilet:- This is…

You wrote: 1) May I know any particular colour of the shade or pattern of the shade? 1. If one further applies Flying Star Feng Shui, then plot a flying star chart. In the sample attachment, each bedroom's best colours are mentioned. Then if you want to apply them then use the best colours associated with that room. 2) If to put side table and lamp beside the bed, must it be two table and lamp on each side of the bed. If due to space constraint and put just one table and lamp on one of the side , is it ok? 2. Please apply Commonsense, here. If I am not mistaken, you have uttered your own reply to your question, please. Thus don't need a cow-sense geomancer for this rite…

Hi Mr Cecil Thank you for your advice 1) I cannot place the altar at the wild card position as there is impossible to partition at that place 2) I cannot place at the shoe rack position as really need a shoe rack there. 3) I cannot place at position B as I was told this place cannot be be block or olace with furniture etc 4) So the most possible place maybe is what you indicated as place A 5) May I know if the height of the altar cupboard is 147cm height x 32 cm wide , is it ok? This is custom made by an advice of a monk ten years ago and from the fengshui ruler, it is good luck measurement 6) Is it ok if the left side of the altar is cover with curtain as the left side …

These are some considerations: 1. In my opinion, what you are trying to practise is in my knowledge simply called "Pseudo-Fung SWAY". Or simply "deceptive Fung-the-Sway. 2. It is akin to taking a sugar coated pill and later on feeling good about it. 3. Actually the main purpose of finding the correct "frontage" which many automatically assume is the main entrance. 4. Purpose of finding the main frontage is for the purpose of working out the "correct" Flying Star chart. 5. As for suitability of the home; it is often mere deception or Pseudo-Fung the Sway that if we can change to our best direction; don't you think for some feel "damn" good about it? 6. This exegeration of …

These are some considerations with regards to the current bed-head position:- 1. Just because some Fung Sway books says that a bed-head (blind-spot) is inauspicious. Some books even draw a person holding a knife and coming after the "throat" sort of thing... 2. Be realtistic, please. You QUEENsized looking bed is not small and your bedroom has TWO doors. 3. In my opinion; unfortunately, have to reserve this statement in such a situation:- "Making a mountain out of a molehill" 4. Frankly, and really, one fine day... may even result in this "Obsessive?compulsive disorder"... 5. In addition, many scholars and diligent people thru the centuries have studied and many have ope…
