Dear Penny, Actually, the best way of assessing ba zi, is to use weak or strong element. Followed byfurther fine tuning using the Balance of the Five Element. You see no matter how extreme a chart is, it will in generally follow the same principles that as a Strong water person is strong because it is likely to have lots of Metal and Water, while lacking in Earth, Wood and Fire for example. While a weak water person has too much of the elements destroying or making it weak than elements helping to make it strong. So even how extreme a case this will ultimately be the results. Hi Anon, Generally, Binomials is mathematical away define the Heaven Stem (HS) and Earthly Branch (EB)relationship. Just like the different combination of the HS and EB which gives you 60 unique combinations. This is one of the unique interaction of two different HSand EB. Dear James, Yes, most of the time, the answers can be quite subjective depending on the way one argues the case. If we are writing a text book for school children, then this is considered as "wood" or growth. Since it can help the child grow (his mind). If we are writinga scientific article, it can also be considered growth (wood element). Dear Anon, For your home, in general the binding elements are:- 1. Wood (Green or brown or wood furniture). 2. Fire (Red, pink or purple). Under the Five Elements concept, the above is used therefore to help "bind" a couple. Strong water vs strong water is not so bad as:- Strong metal person with a strong water person. Hi Anon, For a Strong Water, Fire element is wealth element. Since you are a strong element it is good favourable for you. House (flying star) report is different, that tells you whether a sector is not balanced. Usually because say a sector has star 5 and star 2 (which are Strong Earth stars). Hi, I noticed that in my chart, I have 0 water, 4 wood, 1 fire,5 earth and 2 metal. I understand that I am strong earth and will need to reduce the strong earth element. However, I also have no water in my chart. I now wonder which element should I enhance, water (which i have none) or wood (which i think I have enough of).
