Dear Anon, In my opinion, there is very little benefit by doing so. One thing for sure, it will certainly put a http://www.geomancy.net/wbimages/smiles/icon_lol.gif smile on a jeweller's face. In addition, one has to be particularly weary of walking in dark or desolated alleys or even public lifts. Therefore, not the best idea. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Joan, 1. Ba Zi and Eight House each have different focus:- - Eight House you must remember focus only on the year of birth. - While ba zi takes into account the day, month, year of birth. 2. So generally the ba zi is more accurate in most aspect. However, eight house is still equally important for suitability assessment. While Ba Zi is to attempt to try to improve your heaven luck. 3. Usually for house suitability, we still prefer to ensure that the eight house does not fall under death or disaster. Though this analysis only focus on YEAR of birth, it is still fairly accurate. But sometimes analysis from this will not necessary match Ba zi element. So we always comp…

Hi, I noticed that in my chart, I have 0 water, 4 wood, 1 fire,5 earth and 2 metal. I understand that I am strong earth and will need to reduce the strong earth element. However, I also have no water in my chart. I now wonder which element should I enhance, water (which i have none) or wood (which i think I have enough of). Also, I was told that wood is my 'spouse' element. Does that mean that if I want my relationship to go well, I should also enhance the wood element? Thank you very much for your attention.

Dear Yak Heng, Frankly, it is better to go to a doctor or specialist for check-up rather than rely or depend on Ba Zi, in this case. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, I would like to know from the Ba Zi, how do we analyse if 2 persons are compatible to be partner or couple. I have heard from some Feng Shui Master mentioned that i have to be compatible with person of "Big" Ba Zi. How do we interpret if our Ba Zi is "Big" or "Small". Hope you can enlighten me. Thank you.

Dear Master Cecil, I have understood from my pillars of destiny that i belong to yin wood element. I require water and wood element to enhance my overall luck. So my lucky directions are east, southeast and north. However, base on 8 mansions formula, my kua number is 6. Based on this form school fengshui, my lucky directions are west, northwest, northeast and southwest. Please advise me which form school fengshui and directions i should use as the two seem to contradict each other. Thanks and regards

Dear Anon, Pillars of Destiny has it's limitations: 1. It is a snap-shot of your Heaven Luck or (What is given to us). 2. On a personal level, we can try to wear clothings that harmonize us. 3. More importantly, our Earth Luck (Home) does have a significant weightage on our luck. 4. Pillars of destiny is used to harmonize our ba zi with our home. For example, colour scheme and position of beds, study area. 5. This is why, as far as possible, the three holy trinity of Luck is often used - instead of only 1 trinity (Heaven luck) in isolation. Heaven Luck - what is given (Use this to harmonize with our earth luck) Earth Luck (Feng Shui of a home) Human (Man) Luck - this is f…

Dear Maile, 1. Flying stars is all about the birth chart of a home. 2. Your Eight mansions is all about how suitable the house is to you. If one looks at the two statement, both are equally important. Here, it is said that even how good a house is; but if it is not suitable to the person, this is a negative point. And with this, it does not matter which one takes precedence over the other. However, in the long term, it is preferred that the house suits the person. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carlos, Please see below:- Please note that there are two categories here:- 1. Actual, academic interpretation of each of the numbers based on the Flying Star numerology. The Flying Star numbers and their significance:- 1 = water (blue, black or grey) 2 = strong earth (yellow) 3 = strong wood (green) 4 = weak wood (green) 5 = strong earth (Bad Yellow) 6 = strong metal (gold) 7 = weak metal (gold) 8 = small earth (yellow) 9 = fire (red, pink or purple) 2. What you may be confused about is about the Chinese `rhyme' or `verse' created to give a practitioner a sense of what is "good" and what is "bad". This has much to do, with trying to create something which one ca…

Dear Master, I have a nephew, born in the year 1999, in the yin earth Day Heavenly stem. The timing of birth is 5:25 P.M. in Singapore. So, is he born in the hour of the Rooster or is he born in the hour of the Monkey? I am confused in the hour because I know that in Singapore, there is an adjustment in the timing of 1 hour faster since 1st May 1982. I understand that without the adjustment of the timing in the 1 hour faster, my nephew will be born at 4:25 P.M. which is in the hour of the Monkey. So, now being born at 5:25 P.M. which hour should I use? Please advice. Thank you. Oswin lee

Dear David, Yes, you are a Strong Fire. So you need to have more Earth. Colours is the best way you can apply the five element to your life because cloths which cover more than 33.3% of your body, as well as any object is thus the best choice for applying feng shui. The animal sign is another issue such as when looking for animal signs that clash, however, that is usually used in compatibility. Whereas Five Element give you a broad way of applying Feng Shui. ie. Five Element can also be applied to the House ie North is Water house, South is Fire house etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee Geomancy.Net - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi, Basically, the reason why we give 12 periods instead of the usually 8 period is to give a comprehensive overview of your life. From that you can see how your chart whether you are person who has very good luck all the time (ie a person born with a silver spoon or one that has a hard life). Usually, the person who has good luck most of his life (which he can enjoy), ie from child birth to old age. Such a person tends to have a more fortunate life than another who has only say 60-80 year of age before he or she enjoys good luck. A person's luck is affected by the influences that affect his or her luck. ie every 10-year / 5-year / year a person's luck change, so if you c…

Dear Anon, It boils down to the following:- 1. Please note that `24 Ba Zhi Feng Shui Direction ' is not the correct term. 2. As Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny or Eight Characters cannot be used in conjunction with the above statement. 3. Instead, if the above term is used, then Ba Zi should be replaced by Xuan Kong Feng Shui or Flying Star Feng Shui or known as `24 directions/mountains Flying Star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui. 4. I like to re-inforce the point that questions that you have posted can be answered by the three step-approach. Step 1: What is the purpose? Of Flying Star FS. What is the purpose of Eight House. Here, knowing this one can easily find out Flying Star vs Ei…

Dear Joe, 1. It is not quite like `Star Wars' where one comes to the `dark side':) 2. Under the Five Elements concept, there are various senarios with regards to more yin, more yang or `totally' yin or yang. 3. Some of my ebooks have covered this topic. 4. Overall, if one's chart has too much yin elements; it implies that there is a major imbalance in the chart. 5. I personally have known several persons who became very successful with such charts. As the advantage is that these people are truly very determined, has excellent attitude etc... 6. In fact, if one's chart has e.g. many yin elements; on the contrary; too much yin changes to Yang and vice versa. 7. Please note…

Dear Anon, Yes, this can be done symbolically. In the past, it is common to find the grandfather (elder) anxious about the `Ming' or life of their grand child. And, they would approach a geomancer to select a name that is suitable to the child. In many instances, this can be done because it is common to find a Chinese with a three character name. The first character is the surname. And this cannot be changed. But the surname or each Mandarin character represents an element. If the child lacks a certain element, the two other characters can symbollically represent the missing elements. And the name chosen best to add the missing element. Here, it represents a good start f…

Dear Anon, 1. You can use the Free report " Comparison " to generate the informatin of the binding element for a strong fire and strong wood person. 2. For a partnership (husband and wife); the binding element can be used / introduced in say the master bedroom and especially the living room and dining room areas. 3. The binding element can either be ONE element or TWO element. If the binding element is only ONE element, in Traditional Astrology analysis, this implies that both parties are said to be compatible. While if the couple need TWO binding elements, it is said that they are considered `incomptable'. Using this method or Ba Zi analysis is considered more accurate …
