Dear Cecil,
I'd like to ask you about the built year of my house. The foundation was first
digged on 22 October 1982 and the building finished in August 1984. It took
almost 2 years because the task was done small portion by small portion. In June
1985, we moved in. In 1992, the frontage garden and west garden were replaced
with pavement blocks. In the same year almost all walls were repainted (not
including the ceiling). In 1998, less than 10% of the roof was replaced.
Based on the information I provide above, what periode does my house belong to?
Thanks in advance.

Dear CecilQuoteUsually, the only cure(s) is to have a top down profile or
outline e.g. landscaping to `level' this protusion into a regular
rectangular area. The other cure is the placement of a lamp
at the corner to create a profile level to this protusion at the
`missing area'.
This 'missing area' lies in the kitchen (which has tiled floor and roof) and terrace (with roof). Please see "Protusion in SE.jpg". Placing a lamp post at the corner is almost impossible because there is attach-on-wall cabinet on the kitchen wall. As for using mirrors, I can only attach on 1 side wall because the other side already has the cabinet. If I cut the protusion, it means major renovation because the foundation & the roof must be changed. Do you have any other cure?
I'd like to ask you if terrace with roof is considered missing corner or protusion? Please see the picture files: "Pic taken from top right corner #2.jpg" and "Missing Corner in NE.jpg".
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
What do you think about my planning to place a partition of trees in the
backyard (please see the attached picture I sent along with my last email)? Is
it effective to encounter the direct path?QuoteThanks for the layout. If you still have the flag pole, this is not in a
favourable direction.
Since it is a removeable flag pole, I think it is not an issue anymore. It has
been removed.QuoteThe laundry area is considered not a leak. Is the water reservioir tower
covered.
Both underground water reservoir and water reservoir tower have covers at their
tops. So that one cannot see water.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
Is there a cure for an inauspicious protusion (ie: at south east)? Thanks in

Dear Cecil,QuoteWhat is needed is a screen or a partition (if possible) - minimum
up to the height of the door frame.
Can I use trees as a partition since it is open area behind the garage? And where should I place the partition?
There is not much choice. do not open the front door together
with the sliding door opened.
Fortunately, we seldom use the sliding door. It is closed whole day.
Yes, in my opinion, there are too many `mouths' in your home
especially, if you open most of the windows/ two sliding panels
and even the front door. Plus, the side windows - if they are
immediately close the the front of the house.
Such a house will not prosper unless, you have a proper balance
of the openings or the `mouth' of the house.
I think you should take a look at the picture I'm attaching for a better understanding. The current front door is at C.
Also, I have a water reservoir tower and laundry area at the back of the house. Is this considered leak?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
Today I went to Chinese art shops to find bottle gourds. All I found are
attached with pictures such as swastika, Kwan Im, Ba Gua & Tiger. What do you
think about the pictures on them?
Some of them have holes at the top. I bought one with Kwan Im picture. I think
it is more neutral than one with Ba Gua & Tiger pictures. However, mine doesn't
have a hole at the top. Should I make one hole? Does size matter?
Thanks in advance.

Subject: Bottle GourdQuoteFrom: "Cecil Lee"
Dear Wasis,
The common bottle gourd is a natural gourd. That was dried from original green
to light brown (pine wood) colour.

Dear Cecil,
We usually enter the house from the garage door. There is a direct wind path
between this door and back of the house. Should we place a cover (ie: additional
door) that completely closes that path? We currently use trees but they don't
cover all.
As for the current front door, in front of it there are 2 windows and a set of
glass sliding doors (in living room). According to your tip, I should hang 2
bottle gourds. And how about the sliding doors? Any fix I should add?
Just beside the front door, there are 2 windows and 1 glass wall. Is this
considered "house with open mouth"?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
How do you determine that a dragon figurine/painting is considered auspicious or
inauspicious? What are the benefits placing auspicious one in a specific
location? Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
I've been searching 6 hollow rod whindchimes at many Chinese Art shops in my
town. Almost all only have 4 or 5 rod windchimes. Eventually, today I found
one. However the appearance is not the same as you have showed us. The rods
are of various length and hanged at different heights. Their color is
silver, perhaps they are made of aluminium. There isn't the I-Ching coin in
the middle. Also there is a RED chinese lantern (with chinese characters - I
don't know what it means) at the top. Is this acceptable? I'm worried if the
red lantern represents FIRE since FIRE produces Earth (or Fire destroys
Metal).
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
I'm just curious about the meaning of "house with open mouth". Is it the
same as "house with front door open outwards"? Do you have a picture as an
example?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
WasisQuote1. It is not advantages to have the main door open directly
(with the balcony to the right side).
Usually, even if one does not fully, it will affect the Qi flow.
Usually, houses with `open mouths' would have (in my
opinion) romance/marriage problems.
-
Dear Cecil,
I'm quite confused about your explanation below. Lamp post is considered wood.
And you wrote the threat is water. Whereas water produces wood (productive
flow). In this case, water will enhance wood, thus it will enhance the threat
too. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
WasisQuoteAnother example is of a landed property. If there is a lamp post slicing into
the window
of a house; a common cure is:-
Wood element Threat
the tall thin lamp post (can be made of any material e.g. wood or metal)
represents the
wood element because it is tall and thin. Much like the trunk of a tree.
Water & Metal element
The popular concept here is to use a fish tank with goldfish to counter the
above wood
threat.
Under the Five elements concept, you will find that the two elements
introduced will
create a productive flow:-
Where it becomes:-
Metal -> Water -> Wood

Yes, you can use another door. But it is also best that the house number be
fixed on this door.
So, I can use the north east door (node D, see attachment) though it is devil's
gate? You may see the house number at file "Pic taken from top right corner.jpg"

Overall, the base Flying Star chart does not differ unless there is a change
in Periods i.e. if the house is under Period 7 characteristics, overall, it
will be almost the same chart for a period 7 house i.e. bad sectors are
at East and South.
Do you have any mirrors in the living room?
No, but we have a cabinet (with mirror) in dinning room, wash basin with mirror
(facing the living room), glass-door cabinet in the living room. Please see
files: Dinning Room.jpg & Living Room - ....jpg.
And what are the external environment like ie. is your house on flat ground,
what is behind your house and frontage?
Yes it is flat ground with bushes field in the frontage.
Some trees in front of the house and telecomunication tower too (but not
directly). Please see files beginning with "pic taken from..." Where as the
alphabet A, B, ... represent the nodes I drew in home plan.
There are neighbour houses surrounding my house.
NOTE: My House 2.PLN is more accurate than Home Plan.JPG as you can understand
the meaning of symbolic objects. I drew gutter, underground waste pipes, etc.
Open it with Home Plan Pro shareware (http://www.homeplanpro.com).QuoteSince 2004 is coming, please e-mail us privately so that we can provide
you with an additional Flying Star chart. It is best to look at whether
Period 7 or Period 8 is much better choice.
Thank you. I have purchased your package also.
I also want to know what the purpose of Group Analysis report.QuoteIn such a situation, we can still minimize or reduce problems first. And if
Period 8 chart is better, then can try to change it to a period 8 later on.
This is my problem since I don't know which front door I should use. So that, I
haven't generated the Flying Star report.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
Please see below:Quote1. What is your rationale other than the direction is suitable for your
dad.
We have many problems with our luck (relationship & financial). And current
direction is inauspicious to the breadwinner.Quote2. When was the house built? If it is built before 1984, then tilting the
main door would change the birth chart of the house.
The house was built during 1983-1984 with major renovation in 1999. Actually
I'm not going to tilt the main door. Only change our habit by using another
door since there are 2 entrance doors at the front. It will not change the
birth chart.
3. Has the previous change (door direction) had affected your family's
luck.
Yes, worse
4. Yes, if one wants to consider changing the door direction to NE, it has
to be done with
much consideration. Especially, the Flying Star chart numbers at that
sector.
What consideration? Please advice. Do I need to compare current Flying Star
chart and NE - front door- Flying Star chart?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
I'm a bit confused about changing my main door. We currently enter the house
from garage. And the door connecting garage and house is at 78 degree. This
direction is not suitable for my father, whose Gua is 8. So that we want to
use back our former front door (29 degree). However, this direction is North
East (Devil's Gate). So, is it still allowed to change the main door to
north east? Do we need any additional protection? Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
My house has a north-facing (please note it doesn't mean that the main door direction
is North). Since North = Water, is it necessary to destroy the water element by
planting trees? I post this question because my frontage is pavement with one or two
potted plants. Are potted plants enough to destroy water? Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
Thank your for your quick response. The altar is used to pray to the ancestors. It is
attached to the wall and 1,8 meter above the floor.
As for the cabinet (facing outward), we use it to place figurines of Gods such as
Kwan Im, God of Wealth, etc. However, they have never been prayed.
Please see below:Quote5. Comments on the various alternatives of the placement of the altar
Alternative 1A is inauspicious IF it faces the main door. (From your past
message, you mentioned that you may want to tilt the main door entrance. If so,
this spot may be considered afterwards.
Yes, I want to tilt the main door from B to A. Fortunately, there is a cabinet
between guest room and living room. And the altar is 1,8 meter above the floor which
is higher than the basin on the opposite wall. Is this acceptable?
Alternative 1B - this is a possibility.
Well, we already have a cabinet on this spot to segregate guest room and living room.
Alernative 2 - this is acceptable location. And it's distinct advantage is that
the living room and dining room can be segregated into two `auspicious'
rectangular shape.
Alternative 3 - is a remote possibility. I say remote because, it would be
inauspicious to have the altar face the dining table. If it does not and if the
altar is higher than the basin opposite it, then this is a possible location.
We have TV sets on this spot. Can the altar be placed just few meters to the left
which is opposite of the current location? The position will be at Alternatif 2 but
facing towards main bedroom. By this, the altar doesn't face the dinning table and
bed no. 4. I'd like to add also that no basin in the dinning room.
As for the painting of "8 Immortals", could you suggest where I should place it?
Thanks in advance.

Wasis

Dear Cecil,
Please see below:Quote5. No, the altar should preferably not be placed on the same wall as the
toilet. This is considered inauspicious.
The altar in my house shares the same wall with the toilet but it is not on the other
side of the toilet. Perhaps the picture I attach could clarify the situation. In
addition, there is a painting of "The 8 Immortals crossing the sea" hanged on the
wall which is exactly on the other side of the toilet. Are both placements of altar &
painting considered inauspicious? Thanks in advance.

Dear Cecil,
When is a good time to move my main door (from door A to door B)? Is it ok to do it

Dear Cecil,
Do the rulesets apply also to such figurines as Guan Gong, Buddha Maitreya, Kwan Im
Po Sat, God of Wealth (Chai Sen Ye Ye)?
As for an altar, is it ok to be placed on the same wall as the toilet?
Thanks in advance.

Placement of Objects
in General Help
Posted
Dear Cecil,
I'm attaching the picture of objects which are facing my main door (frontage area, inside the house). Those on upper level are a pair of wooden lions. If we stand facing them, the female one is on our right. Whereas the male one (holding a ball) is on our left. Do you see any problem with their placement?
Those on lower level are a pair of ceramic figurines. As you see, those men are sitting on stones. Can they be used to activate mountain star? If so, their placement is wrong since they are in frontage area.
Thanks in advance.

Wasis
