  1. Dear Cecil,
I'd like to ask some questions regarding a business element. As we know that the
element of trading is water. But are the things being traded important too? For
example, what is the element of trading electronics parts? Water or metal or fire?
What happens if we trade many things which cover all 5 elements.
If possible, could you please write an article on your web site that contains the
element of each kind of business and career.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Wasis

  2. Dear Cecil,
You wrote "when we purchase a home, a FS Master would normally also ask who were the
previous owners especially if the house has been built for quite some time". Could
you please explain the reason in regard with FS? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Wasis

  3. Dear Cecil,
Can you give me some illustrations to differ between a house in a basin and a house
with sloping backwards. From my imagination, both positions are lower than the
street. In my country, that means disaster as the flood control system is terrible.
As for painting, we have a painting of The 8 Immortals Crossing The Sea. It is hanged
on the same wall with an ancestors' altar and a toilet (at the other side). Is it OK?

  4. Hi,
First of all, Happy New Year to all of you.
I'd like to ask you about the effect of moving direction. I read from Lillian Too's
book that we are supposed to move from one of our good directions and not against the
grand duke. What happens if our new house has a good Feng Shui, but we move from our
worst direction or against the grand duke?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Wasis

  5. Dear Cecil,
I'd like to know the purpose of hanging windchimes. From your last message, you wrote
it was used to cure. However, I've heard it can be used to attract fame and
popularity also. From a book I read, it should be hanged above a cashier register to
bring luck for a business. If it can bring luck also, at where sector of the house we
should hang one? And what kind of windchimes should be used?
My second question is how to deflect poison arrows caused by overhead beams. Thank
    you.
    Regards,
    Wasis

  6. Dear Cecil,
One says hanging metal windchimes in the wood corners (south east) is to be avoided
at all costs as metal destroys wood. Then what should we do if we want to cure Bad
Earth #5, #2 and Bad Wood #3 and #4 according to Flying Star in that corner? Thank
    you.
    Regards,
    Wasis

Big Metal - or 6 metal is the BEST cure as it is considered as " The Mother of all
cures ". Don't be mistaken that I am glorying metal but, if one knows Flying Star, it
is the element to cure: Bad Earth #5, #2 and Bad Wood #3 and #4.

  7. Dear Cecil,
What should one do if the house is not suitable for him/her according to Eight House?
This is because the direction of the house (or the main door) can not be changed and
the house width = the main door width. If the house has a good "Shapes & Form Feng
Shui", can it neutralize that unsuitable? Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Wasis

    Dear Anon,
    1. Feng Shui audit is a holistic method and involves two important concepts:-
    a. Shapes and Form Feng Shui
    b. Compass School : Eight House and Flying Star
    2. What you mentioned only relates to the static dimension of the Eight House
    Theory.
    3. In my opinion, under the Eight House Theory, one uses it to:
3.1. Check how suitable, the house is to the breadwinner.
3.2. Check locations where one spends the most time at a specific sector.
Thus, even if the main door may not be that suitable, another area we can look at
is - what is the `intangible force' i.e. the influence affecting us in the bedroom.
Thus, we can look at the intangible force affecting each member of the family.
    Warmest Regards,
    Cecil

  8. Dear Cecil,
I'd like to tell you the situation of my gateway sector. There is a driveway between
the gateway and the car port door. Behind the car port, there is a back yard. So, if
one is standing in front of the gateway and the car port door is open, he/she can
look straight to the back wall. Someone says that at the gateway sector, movement of
car in and out could have aggrevated wrong judgement on important decisions and
resulted in financial loss. How can I fix this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Wasis,
If you have a sketch of it, you can upload it to this forum for me to
determine for you the centre-point of the house.

  10. Hi,
I suggest you use Home Plan Pro. Try the shareware version. I think it is
easier to use than MS Word. You can save your designs as bitmap & GIF.

    Dear Ann,
There are various softwares, where one could try to draw a layout plan:-
    1. The most popular is using Microsoft Word and it's built in line art
    feature in the software.
Some users had uploaded the file in word .doc with the sketch of their
    layout plan.
    2. Other paint programs and saving the file as either:
    .jpg
    .bmp
    .gif
The above are equally popular formats.
    3. Scanner
Alternatively, ask a friend for assistance to help you scan it using a
scanner and saving it into a floppy disk. (After you have sketched a proper
    layout).
    4. The images you usually see under the Picture Tours were mostly scanned
by me using any popular scanners eg. HP scanjet or Canon scanners. Just any
    other brands would do.
    Warmest Regards,
    Cecil

  11. Hi,
I'm visiting Singapore this Saturday. I'd like to ask you where I can buy pa
kua mirror, 6 coins, etc. Which one is better: concave or convex mirror?
    Thanks in advance.

  14. Dear Cecil,
I'd like to ask you about the terms: main entrance, front door and main
gate. Are they the same? Because in my house, the front door (in north
sector) is usually used by guests. Before it, they must pass through the
main gate (north east sector). The family members seldom use the front door.
We usually use the garage door (north east sector). FYI, the main gate is
the first entrance to enter the house. Is this our main entrance?
    Thanks in advance.

  15. Dear Cecil,
My KUA number is 7 and I am wood rabbit, born at tiger hour (3-5 AM). I'm
going to California in August to study. Since I live in Indonesia, is the
direction of my future journey facing the Grand Duke? If so, how can I
neutralize the bad effect (if any)?
This is my second question. My house frontage used to be a garden. The soil
was fertile. Since there were many termites in the soil, the soil was
replaced with pavement stones. It is like a parking lot than a garden now.
Since then, we have many financial problems such as lost income. I just
guess it is the cause of those problems but not sure, so that I think my
house needs a feng-shui audit. Do you know any feng shui experts I should
contact in Surabaya, Indonesia? And how a feng shui auditor usually charge
their clients (if you don't mind answer this question)? I mean how she/he
    determines the amount of fee.
    Thanks in advance.

  16. Hi,
The main bedroom in my house shares the same wall with a toilet. In fact,
the toilet is in the bedroom. The pipe from the toilet to the septic tank
crosses under the bedroom. A fortune teller says this room is bad. How can I
fix it without doing a major renovation? Thanks in advance.

    Wasis

  17. Cecil,
What actions should I take based on below? And how if the tree is still alive? Thank
    you.
    Regards,
    Wasis

    Quote
    From: "Cecil Lee"
    Dear Wasis,
    1. Initially when a tree is dead, there is no immediate concern.
    2. However, it is not sure how long the tree is `dead' and the degree of `rot' that
    took place.
If the tree becomes a stump or part of the branch falls off, it may become a poison
arrow. In such a situation, a broken tree stump and trunk would then become a poison
    arrow.
    3. Later on, as decay sets in e.g. to the roots, this can become a cause of Sha Qi.
Thus, do monitor the situation and take appropriate action based on the above.
    Warmest Regards,
    Cecil
