1. If you refer to "stars" as "stars" belonging to the Flying Star theory, then:-
1.1. For example, a sector may have Mountain Star #5 with Water Star #9 and base star #2.
1.2. In this simple illustration:-
#5 = earth element (significance = misfortune, sickness)
#9 = fire element (simply fire element)
1.3. In this example, the water star #9 is not good as the combination of #5 with #9 means that under the Five Elements concept Fire #9 fuels or triggers a more nastier #5. Making the misfortune sickness worse-off! Than if there is no #9 fire to fuel it.

1.1. Illustration 1: Here, in a zero base or start from scratch building a home; one could have the facing direction of the home as shown in the attachment. While the main door serves merely as an entry into the home.
1.2. In several parts of Singapore: Mount Sinai Rd area, some homes have this type of unique profile. See Illustration 2.

1. If it is strictly based on "superficial" Feng Shui; then of course; it is said that the "odds are against" such a home.
2. This area you mentioned has more to do with Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. And even under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: there is such thing as "Commonsense or cow-sense" factors.
3. In fact, I know of several areas in Singapore where homes are below a slope. For example, some homes at Holland Road area also have a sloping back. For example, for such homes; you enter the home at a straight level. But there are staircase that brings one down to the family room, guest bedroom etc...
4. Why commonsense? If every other home or site next to your home is firmly "grounded" or solid foundation; then this is a plus point. What is most concerned under this commonsense or cowsense is that in some situations; such as a heavy downpour; erosion or landslide takes place.
5. A home at lower ground especially close to a canal in heavy rain fall countries like Singapore.. means that there is a higher likelyhood that if no proper soil treatment is done.. higher chance of termite infestation.
6. Your photo is not clear. It may even be from what I see that your facing direction is the "other side" of the home. Where the photo taken side may even be considered the back of your home. If so, technically, your "back-side" of the house may even be higher than the frontage. Thus... fulfill one of the Shapes and Forms good condition of having a higher ground behind the home.
7. As from your picture, it looks like the other side seems to face trees or forest area...
8. One cannot direclty discount such a home completely. Other factors include how rain drains out of your property; other factors include: Flying Star Feng Shui etc..
9. Like I mentioned, in Singapore, if we do zero base or start from scratch build a new home; we may consider the living room, activity area on the other side of the photo instead of where you enter the home. If so, the home's sitting with a "mountain support".

1. In many of the recent messages, I had stressed that Shapes and Forms has a critical component: Qi. Here, with much understanding of how qi flows e.g. in a room.
2. The other critical situation is the "Ming Tang" or Bright Hall effect. For example; the frontage or even the main door area if possible should have some clear space. Here, clear space means that there is a likelyhood that qi can "collect" at that position.
3. Your question is very wide and "it depends".
4. The purpose of Flying Star Feng Shui is to see where the most yang Qi is located. And this is most likely the higher chance that qi can move into a home.
5. Here, the common denominator of both the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui and Flying star = QI.
6. There is no right or wrong answers: as to which is more important : Main door qi or most brightest area.
7. What is more important is where the most likelyhood that qi can flow into the majority "facing" of a home.
8. For example, for a landed property, you have the main door and often the living room is in this area and the windows are also most likely at this locale. Thus it makes sense that if qi were to flow IN or OUT of the home; this is the higher chance or "bet".
9. Good Geomancers often stand at a distance say from the home and observe the "home". They are figuring out where likely the owners may frequently have openings in their home.

1.Frankly, in Singapore many temples have both space constraints and rare occasions where there is a request to take in tablet(s).
2. Thus, certainly, you will have a very hard time finding a temple to taken your grand parents in.
3. Actually it boils down to money or (a large) donation. Otherwise, it is near impossible, here.

Other matters relating to urns + tablet
1. Many of the very popular sites in Sin Ming are (were) already fully "booked" or full house thus often they are not prepared to assist you.
2. In fact, you can actually seek help from "agents" for the various niches in Singapore.
3. I have no relation to people like : Singapore Casket company; but you can try approaching them to help you seek a new home for your great grand parents.
4. Frankly, in Singapore, it boils down to the 4 letter word: SGD $,$$$.00.
5. In fact, depending on your grand parents religion; there are many different niches or sites that cater for all sorts of religion.
6. For govern operated sites: Mandai : should be able to get a niche. This is the government "controlled" and it is not possible to be turned down.
7. In Choa Chu Kang alone there are:-
Choa Chu Kang Columbarium; there is also the newer Buddhist columbarium cum Nirvana Memorial.8. For Christians, there is the Christian Columbarium called: "The Garden of Remembrance". The lease is "short" but again they are still less than 50 percent occupied. And again it boils down to $,$$$.00
9. Many of the sites have niches for ONE, TWO and or even THREE. Again it is about $$$$. For example, in the Garden of Rememberance; there were millionaires that take up as many as 6 and 9 niches by combining neighbouring niches...
10.The rationale for approaching a "middle-man" is either to select an urn (if one does not have one already) and/OR also to get a plague done in their remembrance. Thus, you can check the directories for people like Singapore Casket. They also can advice you to get in touch with certain priests or pastor depending on your religion (denomination).
11. Cremation is neutral thus.. no effect on the decents. Some even consider sprinkling the ashes into the sea...

The Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple located at 244 South Bridge Road. (S)058793.
This temple is within the heart of Singapore Chinatown.
It is Singapore's oldest and largest Hindu temple. The first temple was built as far back as 1827. And the current brick temple was built (re-built) around 1843.
While Chinese temples are usually adorned with twin door guards; the Hindus, have a different set of door "guardians".. Take a look at (cheerful) them...

This is what a typical fully customised "business" centre of the Malays are about...
There is always a washing pipe.. close-by. In the "poo-poo" cubicle; there is always a water pipe and a small plastic container to contain water. Can you see the white plastic container beside the "throne seat?"
And NO! The washing pipe on the right side of each urinal is not meant to wash a Male person's "JOYSTICK"... It is for him to wash his hands after he had aimed, shot and place his joystick to "safe mode"...

Usually most affected is when your neighbours don't open any of their windows and you are around 1st to the 5th storey...often visible of the petrol station.
Here, the main concern is not of a fire, at the station but rather the FUMES .... from underground tanks and daily consumer pumping of petrol or diesel

1. In the past, many who wanted to buy condominium units detest having their proposed condo next to Government Housing flats. Today, the main criteria is that even if the development is not to such flats; it is no longer an issue especially if one' development is next to say an MRT (mass rapid transit) line especially if the line is hidden underground.
2. As for shop houses; the major concern has more to do with sufficient car-parks and even noise pollution. As recently, I did a Feng Shui audit and the client's home is on the 2nd storey and close to the loading and unloading bay of a popular "Sheng Siong" neighbourhood market. From the various bedrooms; the client's family could hear the vehicles; noise pollution, smoke from the running vehicles etc...
3. I believe between shophouses and petrol station; I would certainly dread living close to the petrol station of between 30 to 50 metres.
4. This is because, there may be a higher chance of a petrol station catching fire.
4.1 Worse, in a humid country like Singapore, as most petrol and diesel are stored underground below the station, the concern is the fumes coming from these tanks.. and depending on the wind conditions;
4.2 I don't want to have a situation of having my family to smell the "cancerous" fuel smell either when some pumps fuel or when it evaporates.

1. In all rooms (including bedrooms) if we do not turn on the fan or air-con to circulate air; then it is best not to place a bed-head between the corner of the bedroom.

1. Symbolically; the Chinese custom has more to do with the bedroom bed. Here, there concern is that if a pregnant lady gets to see the bed MOVED; it symbolises "mis-carriage".2. Thus, usually, the Chinese is particular with the issue of the bed. Many often buy a new bed at the new (re-sale) home. While others make sure that the pregnant lady is not around when the bed has been moved and subsequently do not enter that "existing" bedroom anymore.

3. It is a standard practise for our clients to be given auspicious dates for the first-time opening of the main entrance door. (This can be distinct) from the day one gets the key say at say the HDB office.

Csar Ritz (born 1850 to 1918) was a famous founder of several hotels. Notably, The Hotel Ritz in Paris.
In short, there was a hygiene scare when the hotel opened. During those days the hotel has valvet wall paper and heavy drape curtains and shared toilets.
WhenRitz tookcharge of the hotel; he made sure thateach hotel room hasit's own toilet. (At that time, most homes only have a shared toilet).
He made sure that hygiene was a top priority and hemake sure that the walls ofeach room were white-washed and atthe same time; he got brass beds installed in each of the hotel room.
His purpose for installing brass beds? To him, it is washable and more hygenic thanany other materials.

Unlike most probably your "pseudo" poison arrow; if you look carefully, in the attached picture, it shows a classic poison arrow aimed towards the windows marked in "red circle".

Fortunately this side of the triangle roof of the landed property was aimed at 3 @ Sandilands lift lobby (no big deal). However, at the other end as circled in RED, it is aimed at one of the windows of a unit at Breezy Mansion.

These are some of the considerations:-
1. Please refer to attachment: poison arrow1.jpg and poison arrow2.jpg. At least if a home or apartment is "attacked" by a poison arrow from another building's triangle roof; one should normally see a real triangle. Much like the two attached photos.
2. Frankly, your photo is still not the best photo as the shot seems to be taken at an angle much like under this illustration: Not Poison1.gif
3. Thus if one does not see a "full triangle" = poison arrow; likelyhood it is not a poison arrow as it does not aim DIRECTLY into your window.
4. Thus, yours is more likely known as a "pseudo" poison arrow... than anything else. The best cure for this situation? "Perhaps, one might like or consider swallowing a sugar coated (sweet) as some sort of a cure aka pill e.g. Perfetti - Van Melle Candymentos.

1. Generally, real estate is regulated and can be considered more as a "profession" i.e. although is own "boss" but not really abusiness person or entrepreneur.
2. In addition, the difference between a businessman and a real estate agent is that an agent needs to pass some test to get a licence of sorts to practise. While we don't see a businessman getting a licence to become one. (Unless one is in North Korea and even so, may be executed for being a captalistic pig then anything else
3. As real estate belongs to the earth element; goes better with weak earth person, weak metal person or strong fire person.

Many condos enter from the main entrance. But this main entrance may open usually to the "kitchen" area first. While on the opposite end could be the living room.
Often, the living room area ie. standing inside the living room looking out of the windows; could be the facing direction of a home for the purpose of applying say the Flying Star Feng Shui.
