As mentioned, it depends on the build of this home ie. not perfect plot but not a “fatal error”…plot.

Morning Master Lee, the previous owner didn't remove this 八卦镜子. Any advice on the removal of 八卦镜子? Reply: After today or from tomorrow onwards, wrap it in a newspaper and throw it into the common bin in a plastic bag. No issue

Yes, I agree with you on that the work done does not merit the house changing to Period 8. In my opinion your house is most likely still a Period 7 home. -
