Some homes are like an unpolished gem. Some enhancement can do wonders to this home. But for some homes, the odds may be stacked against it. As no amount of enhancements can work. Such home often have more problem areas and instead of enhancements, one may have to use more Elastoplast (plaster) to fix up!

To some who are superstitious, No. 13 is considered inauspicious. But to others especially Chinese Cantonese dialect group, instead, 14 is considered inauspicious. As 1 = Sure and 4 = die. Thus when we add the two together symbolises: SURE TO DIE. Thusauspicious or inauspicious numbers arehighly subjective!

These are some considerations: 1. As we all know, we live in a real world. 2. In real world situations, like you have discovered, there is no such thing as a PERFECT date. 3. Even for any home, there is really no such thing as a 100% perfect home. 4. Here, auspicious dates are considered as NICE-to have. And not a must-have. 5. Often, even choosing a date for two persons may be difficult. Not considering selecting dates for three or more persons. 6. In tradition, it is good to select a date that is auspicious for the breadwinner (usually the Male breadwinner). 7. And nowadays, it is nice to also consider auspicious date (IF possible) for the spouse - but again, it is NICE-to have. 8. In my opinion, one has to be realistic and practical, here.

In the past, some over jealous Kung Fu practitioner would "strengthen" their fingers by punching into sand and later progress into punching at wood and stone. Thus, when one sees that their finger tips are all black; these practitioners are said to have fingers that are made of "steel". Lethal weapon...

These are some considerations: 1. You wrote: The hallway door is facing my nice glass balcony one. 1.1. Without a photo, it is difficult to fully grasp this. As often, unless one is physically at the home/apartment; or at least see the layout out; 1.2. Harder here to understand what you mean. And also, how large is the "nice glass balcony" and whether you open it or slam shut it most of the time. 2. With all the haze around, one possibility could be the frontage could be "facing the street" view. 3. Other considerations include: if you always slam-shut your main door when at home; then this is highly unlikely to be your frontage.

These are some considerations:- 1. Feng Shui comes in different flavours. 1.1. Ultra-conservative Feng Shui practitioners: these people will quote from ancient Feng Shui manuals and talk about the time or era when there were no high-rise apartments. 1.1.1. If so, the test of whether if a car suddenly run amok or out of control; could this vehicle hurl into the house or even the support beam of the apartment and even cause it to collapse? 2. Thus if you take the reasoning of such ultra-conservative Feng Shui practitioners then YES, your House is considered at a "T-junction". 3. Singapore is a "right-hand" drive country thus, for a better understanding, I have added theway vehicles would flowaround your proposed dream house. 3.1. The main concernis the "RED line" or the flow of vehicles exitingCompasspoint and heading towards the right. If you imagine the vehicle would suppose to curve towards your dream house. 3.2. Because of Para 3.1; let's hope someone does not speed out of the traffic junction and loose control of their vehicle. 4. The good news is that often the "most affected" is the ground floor unit. As the vehicle would normally by fluke land towards the ground floor unit. There is a remote possibility it may also fly towards 2nd storey. 5. Other than the reasoning under Para 4 and hopefully the say "run amok vehicle" does not destroy too many supporting pillars of the entire stack that make that stack collapse. This is the worst scenario. 6. Thus because of this type of scenario or once in a million of such an occurrence that some say it is inauspicious. 7. Other factors include how fast the run away car is travelling; any obstacles that prevent the car from crashing into your dream estate; how far is the stack from the road and run away car. 8. If you feel that the above is highly unlikely, then, this is a plus point.

These are some considerations: 1. Chinese has it's own palmistry. And often we look at the whole picture and try to figure out an entire hand and categorise it to one of the five elements. 2. Thus a hand with pointed fingers and pointy hands is considered as a fire element. 2.1. While a squarish /rectangularish hand is considered as an earth element etc... 3. My website: http://palmistry.net has some interesting information on the hand. 3.1. In the past, the most respected doctors examined hands and colours etc ... thus this resulted in several well known doctors who were well versed in hand reading. As one of the key elements is that it can tell the health of a person. By looking at the colour (blood flow) and even the growth of finger nails. 4. In Chinese acupuncture, different fingers are associated with different body organs. If you are deeply or seriously into it than you may have to look at sites that specialise in acupuncture. 5. Otherwise, what you mentioned is related more to the India concept of each finger belonging to one of (YOUR) elements. 5.1. For example: in your Indian system: the thumb is suppose to represent the fire element. While the Index finger belongs to the "AIR" element. In Chinese five elements concept there is no element as in "AIR". While the third finger in your system is considered as the Earth element. 5.2. And your little pinkie or little finger is the water element. Although I am well versed in many areas, I choose not to comment on areas not within my specialty. I know it is there, but perhaps, not enough to discuss further on them. 6. Thus frankly, if you need more answers to your Indian system, then you may have to search elsewhere. As the key ingredient of the Chinese system is based on the Five Elements concept. While your system has some elements similar, but some are not directly in our vocab. Thus difficult to link the two. 6.1. For example,I cannot simply link two different systems one from the "West" (India) and one from the "East" (China). Maybe, Buddhism is different as it was brought from the West (India) to the East (China). But along some line, we (India and China) had evolved somewhat differently. Even though there is the Vastu principles.

Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. Today, it is still in practise that as a guideline, and on an individual basis, some consider their favourable colours and apply it to e.g. the colour of their vehicle (car). Thus, if one's so called "lucky" or favourable colour is water then some might choose a blue, black or grey car. 2. It is still common for some to want to TRY to wear their favourable colours whenever they can. 3. Other than the above, in modern times, it is viewed in conjunction with Feng Shui : in particular applied TOGETHER with flying star Feng Shui to determine e.g. the best colour for a bedroom or office. 3.1. Thus, in the attachment, I have highlighted in YELLOW, that one's so called lucky colours is applied in a larger area and not isolated at the individual level.

For those who have watched Chinese martial arts movies: 1. Always the hero started off as an under-dog. 2. In many instances, the hero either gets beaten up or tries to seek revenge for the loss of his loved one(s). 3. Initially, the hero only has basic skills. 4. And as time progresses, the hero gets to learn more skills. 5. The article below shows the practical approach before one can claim that something can bring him or her LUCK:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/A_Practical_Approach_to_Feng_Shui%2C_Today

These are some considerations: 1. In general, if this was the 1970's and even towards 1980's. 2. Such "discovery" made by you sounds impressive. 3. It is just like "X-ray" was newly discovered and drawing a parallel; there was such thing as a "wow" factor. The ability to look at a hazy monotone chart of one's rip cage: to see if the lungs are "clear". 4. Let's put it this way. Today is what? 2013? 5. And for many years, there are newer inventions like the MRI scanning. Of which, I had added such an example in this url: Feng Shui Triage 6. Thus, I had mentioned numerous times: the Holy Trinity of Luck: Heaven, Earth and Human luck. 7. And it is not so simplistic as what you may think. There are more than what meets the eye. 8. Even what you had quoted, is just the tip of the ice-berg. 8.1. For example, for the (some who seek advice from a geomancer) Chinese, we even go the extend of for new born select a name after looking at the ba zi of the child. 8.2. In modern times, a geomancer don't go around and advice a "victim" to go wear jewellery just because the person lack metal element. Or certify that the person is not fit to be in the "infantry" as he is not suppose to wear green colour etc.... 9. As mentioned above, if you were to bring out your statement, it sounds great in the 1970s to 1980s. But, today, the level is close to or akin to using only X-ray technology. Which is no longer that impressive nor as effective as say the equivalent of an MRI scan.... 10. In simple terms... what you mentioned is not a mother of all cures or enhancements. Not in modern times.

Honestly, in addition to your previous comments, it is essential to consider Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; as it is challenging to fully understand solely through written descriptions. Even a simple aspect such as the size of the balcony can be influenced by direct afternoon sunlight, etc... For instance, if a water feature is consistently or daily exposed to direct sunlight from the west, it will experience a high rate of evaporation. In this case, if the balcony lacks a water tap, it won't be long before the individual may resemble the hunchback of Notre Dame. Alternatively, with significant evaporation, some individuals may lack the perseverance to maintain the water feature, resulting in stagnant water that eventually dries up. Moreover, moisture can enter the room connected to the balcony. Such a water feature may contain dirty water (moisture) that can seep into the room, increasing its humidity. Additionally, excessive sunlight may lead to algae growth in the "contaminated water feature." Having a water feature in the garden located in the southwest is acceptable or fine. Typically, there is a space that separates you from this water feature. Sometimes, individuals may find the water feature excessively noisy, particularly if the balcony is adjacent to a (master) bedroom. Often, a comparison can be made to someone wishing to place a fish tank for Feng Shui purposes. However, this situation differs for a fish enthusiast. The latter willingly maintains a fish tank, while the former may feel compelled to care for it and likely view it as a chore to manage a water feature.
