  1. Under the Five Elements concept, this painting has two main elements: Metal and Water in it.
  2. Some photos of the M Hotel..
  3. Please see attachment. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, Partitions named "A" and "B" are considered acceptable. While partition "X" often when viewed from the main entrance door, seems like a "split" into two... thus not as auspicious.
  4. This year's annual sickness star #2is at SW. And another concern is that #5 misfortune/sickness is at the centrepoint of the house. And this "overlaps" all sectors in a home.
  5. In my opinion, it is always prudent to check the annual Flying Stars especially if intend to do a renovation. As this year, #2 sickness star is located at SW. And just be careful also as #5 misfortune/sickness is at the center-point and often over-lap with most sectors of a home. Try using the salt-water cure and place it at SW sector in the apartment. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2013.htm 2013 Flying Star Forecast North 6 1 8 7 5 3 2 9 4 South Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at South-West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at Center Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at East Education/Romance Star this year is at South-East Grand Duke this year is South-South-East, 150 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is East. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict.
  6. My obsession with the Toilet Bowl: Cannot eat, bathe & sleep without thinking about it!
  7. These are some considerations: 1. No offence, but what you wrote sounds like it is a SIN to have: an attached toilet for the master bedroom + shared toilet........ 2. Don't you think that take most layout plans and your layout don't seem out of the ordinary. 3. Frankly, there is no such thing as a perfect apartment. Far more, no such thing as an apartment without a toilet. 4. Such an overkill can only mean one thing: "go shut down all your toilets" and go use the ones in the condominium if indeed this is a full condo development. But since HDB flat, may have to walk further to a coffee-shop to make use of their dirty toilet for daily use. 5. You can search for past forum messages. On why it has more to do with common sense even if the toilet bowl faces a door (bathroom) door; simply leave the lid at the open position. 6. Like what you wrote... might as well not stay in any apartment. 7. Again no offence, it ain't NO SIN to stay in such an apartment with a very common layout (type) of plan. Unless, one is an Alien, and suddenly parachuteddown to earth and find such layouts weird and alien or very unfamiliar to them. Frankly, I find this truly an over-kill.
  8. The dreaded #5 Five Yellow = misfortune sickness star is at the centre of the premises, this year....
  9. The concept of: Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust holds true for anything that has been cremated. Thus cremation is considered as : Neutral. As a mark of respect; often, place it somewhere that is not often disturbed. Need not display it. So long as not placed below one's bed or preferably not in one's bedroom is fine or OK. Often if one has a study, can be placed e.g. on a shelf perhaps next to the window etc... There are no hard or fast rule for such things. Thus "show respect" is a good idea, here.
  10. These are some considerations: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach
  11. 1. These are some considerations:- 2. It is good to understand some guidelines and useful considerations in either determining whether a home changes period. Or if unsure, what are the reasonable steps to determine the Period of a home:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 3. Ideally, if one had bought a new home, but YET to stay in; could consider doing all the renovations be it major or MINOR PRIOR to move in. 4. Thus, it is better that after completion of the sale/purchase of the home. Immediately do the necessary renovations (especially at the center area). 5. Then if possible, move-in or (select a good date to move-in). This is considered as NICE-to DO.
  12. 1. Please refer to this link with guidelines:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 2. In the above link, do take note that the conservative may even still consider the home as a Period 7. 3. And one should still work out TWO charts. And follow the advice or guidelines. For example, there are situations where the Flying Star numbers at a specific sector(s) are: 3.1. In both periods sometimes both star numbers are near identical e.g. either auspicious or inauspicious stars. If so, it is safe to apply the 20 year flying star "cure" or "enhancement" without any detrimental effects. 3.2. Thus, don't always assume that just because one changes the roof; it will change to Period 8. As the conservative would say that the foundations must be changed (not necessarily the cosmetic flooring).
  13. Common sense says that it is good to have space below the bed. So that one can easily clean below the bed.
  14. Yes, I mean you! Please erase this from your head.
  15. They say, talk is cheap. So is this one......
  16. If you had determined that the tree (plant) is a poison arrow; don't blame us when your (the) tree happens to suddenly "die". Did you say BEACH or (bleach?):- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=23251&new=
  17. The MacDonald House is the last remaining office building withred bricks facade. The building was built 3 years after World War 2. It was and designed by Reginal Eyre of the architectural firm Palmer and Turner. It was one of the 1st high-rise buildings in Orchard Road. During that time, the MacDonald House housed mainly British, American and Australian companies. I remember clearly that the show rooms of British made cars such as the mini-clubman was along this area. On March 1965, in an incident known as the MacDonald House bombing, two Indonesian saboteurs placed a bomb on the mezzanine floor. At the time of the bombing the buildinghoused the Australian High Commission and the Japanese Consulate.
  18. The first genration bomb shelters (constructed in the 1990's) are found below a specific block of flats. These first generation bomb shelters, today are leased to Tuition centres or Mini-markets. Or in this estate (Whampoa Road), the bomb shelter is currently empty.
  19. Please see attachment. Just imagine all the dots : red and blue are tree trunks...
  20. Sorry no photo seen. On a second storey, most likely if one sees a tree trunk. And if this tree trunk is tangent to or slice towards an opening e.g. balcony, this should be a poison arrow.
  21. Common sense says: "If there are leaks, fix the leaks. Don't always go for the easy way out by thinking only of enhancements, enhancements and more enhancements!"
  22. Like all concepts, the Eight House concept also has it's limitations...
  23. Common sense says that a toilet on the second storey especially the WC (sewerage) pipe(s) should not be located above such things as the kitchen stove or somewhere we may spent time; at.
  24. The Feng Shui emporium swears that when you buy their magic (wealth) purse, money will fall out of the sky!
  25. These are 2nd generation HDB 5-room point block flats with more elaborate rounded balconies. Can be found at 125 Aljunied Road and even at Lower Delta Road.
