Should I get a small, medium or large flower pot?

Frankly, this has more to do with common sense:-

1. For example, if one lives in a high rise apartment. And if there is no balcony grille. And if there are young children.. then best to avoid getting a medium or large flower pot.

1.1. Else these flower pots become a stepping stone to climb over say.. the railing(s).

2. Look at the attached photo. In our current heat-wave, one will notice that the two small flower pots have plants that shrivel and close to dead...
