Staff Robert Lee Posted July 19, 2007 Staff Share Posted July 19, 2007 Dear Fiona,Fiona K wrote:My house sitting SW & facing NE, but near to a MOSQUE (about 0.5km), is it bad feng shui or bad Chi for a house if near to Mosque? (Main door not facing the mosque). What are the ways to cures?Generally, most people will want to avoid buying a house close to a Mosque orTemple. The reason is because sometimes it can be noisyand when there are many people visiting the place. Temple sometimes performs rituals, so can also be dirty. So it is not really good, if the Mosque can be seen. Especially, if the roof of the Mosque can be seen cutting into your home. Then some cures may be needed. Depending on the severity, might require the use of bagua or as simple as a day curtain to block the view. If the Mosque is not seen from your house, then it won't be as bad. However, it will still affect the future resale value of the house. This area nothing much you can do.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
Guest Mosque next to Parc Esta
Hi Master Lee, We are thinking of buying a unit at Parc Esta in stack 17. Need your advice whether any of the house Feng Shi in stack 17 be affected by the mosque, main road and MRT station. Best regards, Desmond

The mosque: Masjid Darul Aman actually means Peaceful house in Malay. No. Stack #17 is quite a distance away and facing the main road and MRT station. Furthermore, stack #17 is currently "beside" the entrance of the present showroom. 2. Of course, it is pure common sense : it is a main road with at least 4 lanes and a side parking line. 3. Furthermore, stack 17 often faces a vacant plot of land and partial of the entrance of the car-park. Often throughout the year, many Chinese religious activities are held on that vacant plot of land. Thus often there is a bit of noise, there and then. Sometimes also incense are burnt at these grounds. 4. On some occasions, there is also a mini circus on the plot of land. 5. Common sense : a raised MRT track. Hopefully, nowadays, they may add sound barrier and the MRT trains are suppose to be making less noise. 6. Common sense: is that bad news is that as this unit faces the Eunos MRT station. Expect more noise from the braking of the MRT trains as it has to slow down to the station. This braking sound is unfortunately much noisy that just trains travelling on the track. 7. Another consideration are buses plying the area. For example Bus 13, 150 and 155 will first pick up and drop passengers at the Eunos/Interchange bus stop. Then coast three lanes towards stack 17 side and then turn towards Still road. Quite noisy at times...

Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 1, 2019 Stack #17 may often look towards religious activities and even large joss sticks and incense burning beside the car park area. Today on 1 April 2019: To the right of the car park is the large Religious gazebo tent. This area should be in full view If stack #17 Car park to the left and the religious activities to the right:- Cars are going or heading towards Bedok.. This area is under Plot A. These photos show the fringe of the car park heading towards Bedok:-
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 1, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 1, 2019 PLOT B This area is another plot where large tents are also put up. During Last year’s Chinese 7th month also got Chinese Wayangs. This plot is less of a concern given that only Block 914 and some stacks needs to look out to their LEFT IN ORDER TO SEE PLOT B. HDB BLOCK 844 is most affected (if any) of activities at Plot B. PLOT B PLOT B

Guest Ling
Dear Mr Lee, I'm looking at buying a unit at Hillsgrove cluster house. This cluster is surrounded by church (Bethesda Serangoon Church), temples (Tou Mu Kung, Hougang Tao Mu, Jui Huang Da Ti) and mosque (Masjid Haji Yusoff. Is it a bad choice? Anyway to enhance the fengshui? Thanks!
Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 2, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 2, 2019 1. In my opinion, besides the temple, church and mosque, it is good that the cluster housing is not on the side facing Upper Serangoon Road. 2. In my opinion, the Masjid Haji Yusoff mosque is on the other side of Hillside Drive. Thus is the least concerned for this cluster housing. 3. It is still preferred not to consider 5E or 5F Hillsgrove. While 5D is not perfect but acceptable. 4. Hillsgrove resides on the oldest part of near down-stream of Upper Serangoon Road with Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre being one of the oldest plus the surround shops. 5. Generally, the rest of the cluster housing at Hillsgrove either faces NW (more favourable to the west group breadwinner). While the houses facing towards SE (Upper Serangoon Road - side). 6. Other than the three houses mentioned under Para. 3 above, the rest should not be a problem especially in terms of Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. The sensitivity may or may not affect a broad range of persons - some FS Masters to a potential house buyer’s preferences. Generally so long as the house is not beside it or at least two plots away or not directly facing it or rear of the house; it is much more acceptable situation. P.S. Thank God that this is not the period up to early 1970's. Else, prayers would be blasted by both mosques several times in a day. Else in the past, if one were to stay near to (not necessarily beside. Yes near to.. or in the vicinity of) one would have to "endure" loud prayers blasted by these mosques six (6) times a day! Fajr - 6:03 AM. Sunrise - 7:12 AM. Dhuhr - 1:15 PM. Asr - 4:23 PM. Maghrib - 7:18 PM. Isha - 8:22 PM.
James77
Dear Mr Lee, I'm looking at buying a unit at Whampoa Dew, 78 Lorong Limau... but the living room/bedroom windows are facing a mosque (Masjid Hajjah Rahimabi Kebun Limau) 400m Northwest next to St. Michael Bus Terminal. In addition, from afar (north bearing about 1.5km), the windows catches a glimpse of Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery. Is it advisable to buy this unit? The mosque is not at the direct path of circled two units. If assuming you ate referring to either one. Plus the SSL Monastery. If in doubt.. skip... as even if there is no issue... once it becomes into the hazy area of stigmas... Unfortunately stigmas are very difficult to shrug-off .. be it self or others.. and can ultimately affect Human Luck. Search for Holy Trinity of Luck if one does not know what is Human or Man Luck... Aserlop
Hi Master Lee, Considering a house block 700A, right beside mosque. Living room I directly facing the roof of the mosque (tip only). What is your advice for this ?

Living room I directly facing the roof of the mosque (tip only). What is your advice for this ? Only Sample Illustration #04 is affected by Sha Qi or Poison Arrow of the mosque spine (logo) 1. This simple illustration:- 2. Even though standing at the windows of #02, #03 may perhaps see the spine of the mosque; fortunately they are not affected by the spine (logo) of it. 2.1. Thus imagine if there are also #05 onwards etc.. looking out of the windows and downwards, one can also see the spine (half moon + star crest) of the mosque. These units are not affected by this spine. 3. In the illustration, one can see that unit #04 is exactly at the same level of the mosque spine (half moon + star crest). Thus in reality this unit #04 is considered to be affected by this spine. 4. Not deal is for the spine to be exactly facing / tangent to the living room windows - harder to cure. Given that who in the world fully block the living room windows. 5. Much easier to cure if it faces a bedroom window. For example, can install a "permanent" day curtain and draw this at the bedroom window(s). The maxim: "If can no longer be that visible, it no longer become a threat. More.. Thus even if one stands inside say #05, #06 and above unit window can see the mosque spine (half moon + star crest), these units and more are not affected by the Sha Qi (Poison arrow) of the spine - (half moon + star crest). Unit #04 Only Unit #04 is considered to be affect by the spine (logo) or tip of the mosque Related: Masjid [Mosque] Darul Ghufran @ Tampines surrounded by HDB Tampines GreenSpring under construction
