Dear Anon, 1. Usually, further investigations should be made to determine the type of "leak". Often, if your bedroom is too yin (dark) and in many instances where the storeroom is located at SW or has flying star #3 at that sector. 2. For the storeroom, if it is too yin (or dark), without proper investigations, you may consider "trial and error" by installing a light such those latest "philips led" bulds" that stay cool. And leave this light on for 12 hours (of course without distracting your sleep - ie glare. Warning: Using halogen, may not be suitable as it produces lots of heat especially for those whose home are of wood construction. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: …

Hi Anon, There is no mircle solution for helping you sell the house in terms of feng shui. The only things you can do is maybe use some of the good points about the house especially if it is feng shui friendly. You will be better off making sure that you have price the house at a correct price, and ensuring that the place is kept clean and look new (ie fresh coat of paint). Most people will like that. Also, ensure you get an agent with lots of network contacts. The more comfortable the people that come to view your house look, the more likely you will be able to sell the place. That is about the best advise you can follow. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee…

Dear Anon, Anyway, to make it easy, Cecil has already classify some careers into the five element relationship:- Water Career Advertising, Arts, Brewing, Communications, Computers, Drinks, Healing, Laundry, Literature, Manufacturing, Media, Music, Therapy It is not exhaustive, but it should serve as a guide. Just wearing colour isn't good enough. You will need to have more than that to make a weak wood stronger. You need to have as many areas in your life with more water element (ie colours, career, house etc). Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Iris, 1. Please refer to my most recent message on the use of fish tank in this conference. The message is titled: Aquarium - rearing of fishes 12/7/2001. 2. In my opinion, rearing of fishes be best left to those who love to rear them as a hobby. Unless, one has been specifically asked to rear one e.g. to neutralise a poison arrow i.e. aimed into the bedroom such as a lone lamp post which may pose a threat i.e. slicing into the home. 3. The adage: If it ain't broken, do not fix it. How true this is (in my opinion). As sometimes, we may unexpectedly bring ourselves more problems. If rearing fish is a hobby, then, it can be expected that we can consult say a FS practi…

Hi Cecil, I came accross one of your old responses to a poison arrow issue dealing with "tit-a-tat" feng shui. The house accross from mine has several pointed roofs, and one is directly pointing at my main door (and is also on top of its main door). However, my house is the same floor plan but flipped so the pointed roof above my front door also directly faces my neighbor's main door and thus directly faces its pointed roof. Is that enough to create a "tit-a-tat" feng shui or do I need to cure the poison arrow? If I do need to cure the poison arrow, how would I go about it? Thanks!

Please see below:- A 5 rod windchime is equal to the technique of hanging a ceiling lamp with 5 bulbs each to represent each of the element. This type of "cure" is to `bring' all the 5 elements together at one location. It is best to clarify with her as there are many Feng Shui theories plus a mix of Chinese Astrology and even divinity methods.

Dear Kieron, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, glad that you will continue to trust your intuition. Believe me, it is more powerful sometimes than following all sorts of books and we may end up worse or feel "depressed" having to follow a `set' of routines. Look at it this way, many people have never heard of Feng Shui but benefitted from their own instincts or `six sense' or `intuition.' Dear Geral, Ideally, rooms including bedrooms should be either rectangular or " square " shaped. Sorry, I am not sure what you meant by "Meat Cleaver". Do you mean that the L-shaped represent a `meat cleaver'. If one has an L-shaped room e.g. the living room "joined" to the dining room forming an `L' shape, the best situation is to place a `partition' dividing the rooms into `two rooms'. Similarly if your bedroom is `L' shaped, try to `partition' it e.g using a screen etc.. to create `two square/rectangular' shaped rooms. If your room is `odd' shaped e.g. a circular room, usually one can built cupboards and `change' the room into a square and rectularly shaped. Warmest Re…

Dear Cloud, Although, I have some idea of what the `tray' ceiling looks like but have not seen one closely so cannot (fully) comment on how `bad' it is. Overall, two Feng Shui `tools' are available: 1. A pair of flutes in a `Ba Gua formation' ----- / \ 2. Windchime One has to be cautious if one uses it in the room or at any other locations in the house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello and thank you in advance for your time. My wife and I are thinking about building a new home and I feel like I need a better understanding on some of the subtilties of geomancy. First, stairways. Isn't every step potentially a small poison arrow? Can I reduce this using a rounded "nose" on the ledge of my steps? Also, what should I think about "non-full" stairways, where the steps are "floating" and we can see through. Does that prevent the Chi from going up? Second, doorways. How much consideration should be put into addressing the poison arrows coming from corners of doorways? I mean doorways are necessary in some fashion. Could it be that the…

Further to what I mentioned, we should not succumb to two situations:- 1. Auto-suggestion If we were to scold a donkey "stupid", the animal would not have this thought. But if we were to scold a child, often enough that he/she is "stupid" one day, the child may take on this unfortunate circumstances. 2. Self-fulfilling Prophecy If we think too much or fear too much, as a result, we may become as it is or `like that' or everthing can go wrong, it will! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, I am about to purchase this semi-detached property but it has a rather non-typical layout (image below) with a tilted walkway which created a cut corner in the master bedroom. In terms of Feng Shui, is this good or bad? The living room has only 2 slim but high windows, I am thinking to hack the wall and create a large 2 panel doors opening to the yard to create some sort of flow, would it help?

Hi Master Cecil My unit has a layout almost similar to Lawrence's one. In Lawrence case his unit has a balcony whereas mine is a lanai. So it only has windows rather than an exposed balcony. So in this case I wonder if it is discouraged to have the altar place in lanai area considering it doesn't have balcony features? Thank you.

Hi Cecil I have to install an ancestor altar table but I realise those ready made are higher than my existing table. I saw the fengshui ruler for yin. My current Guan Yin table height is 126cm with side wings but actual height is 115cm. I need to custom made a table lower than 117cm. Is 112cm ideal for ancestor table or should be be same height as 117cm. Appreciate your advise. Thank you.

In my opinion, this is not recommended. However, it is still allowable for a roof above the altar; much like an enclosed cabinet for practical reasons: to try and contain some of the "stains" from lighting up the joss sticks.

Dear Anon, Both 1 & 8 are considered good combinations. However, even if the stars are good, it also depends on a person's personal luck element and not soley on the Flying star combination. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This question is similar to the concept found under this recent reply:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=24209&new= Quote: Katrina L. wrote: Hello Master Lee, For 2009, the West is afflicted with the flying star #2 sickness star. My bedroom is located in the East. When I lay down in bed, my head is pointed to the West because it's a good direction for me. Upon reading your response to a related post, you said that when it comes to flying stars, the focus should be the location of the flying stars and not the facing direction. In that case, is it still okay for me that when I am in bed, that my head is pointed towards the West e…

1. Any element if it becomes or constantly is strong is no good. For example #6 represents metal. Thus, as I had mentioned earlier, a set of six coins e.g. where each coin has a square hole (earth) which supports metal (strengthening it or controlling) it. Thus it is still good to have red string (with or without the tassle to tame or control it). 2. However, on it's own #6 is considered as past, past prosperity star. So exactly or directly not a useful star. Unlike #7 which is also a metal element. But it is a weak metal. And only under Period 7, it is a good "kind" star. During any other Periods, many know it as "Thief or robbery star." 3. #6 in any period is generally…

Dear Regina, To side-track a little:- 1. The annual Five The annual #5 falls at the centrepoint of a home. If so, often, leaving it as a "clear space" or walkway is good enough. For those who are duly concerned with it. The rationale is that it would be quite silly to place e.g. a wind chime at this centrepoint. Since, either, most of the time - a regular wind chime, would not chime as much. Even if it does chime, in a home environment, it can get pretty uncomfortable - since - it can affect the welfare of family members e.g. those who need to study or pay attention to work or for sleep. 2. These three variable numbers are not favourable: since #3 affects work or work i…
