Thanks for your reply. Your report for me said that Earth element was best for my career but I am struggling to find an option that would be appropriate to me. Construction, Property, Estate Agency, etc would not be appropriate for me. Could you give me some more fields, jobs, or ideas for Earth Element? This is why I was asking about maps or nutrition for food industry. Interior Design? Or would this come under "Arts" which is Water element

I can recommend a book for those interested in learning which foods are yin or yang, with an analysis of the 5 elements. "Between Heaven and Earth," by Harriet Beinfield (not sure of the spelling of author's last name). This book may not be available outside the US, however. Hope this helps. --Joe

Dear Merian, Is it possible for you to place a small cabinet or cupboard such as a short linen cabinet of say 4 to 6 drawers at the foot of the bed? Alternatively, if you have a partition, this would also do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. In my opinion, this has more to do with SYMBOLISM then Feng Shui. 2. It origins is that in the past; the deceased would be brought home during the funeral. 2.1. And the body will be displayed such that the LEGS will face the entrance. This is based on pure common sense. As when it is time for the funeral procession, the coffin will be loaded legs first into the hearse. 3. Thus as mentioned above, it has more to do with the "Chinese" thing or Chinese custom or belief to avoid sleeping with the legs facing an OPENING such as the bedroom door or even the sliding window. 4. IF you are not a Chinese, perhaps, and if you are not as supertitious, no need to be TOO concerned.…

Dear HK Don, hk don wrote: For applying a cure on a three storey terrance house for a given sector (say NW), do we need to put the samecure on every floor or just the ground floor or top floor? Pls advise. Thanks Generally, the best way is to always use colour scheme to balance up the room and minimise the use of cures. This is the most efficient and effective way. However, where there is no other option, then a cure at the right sector may be necessary. Depending on the severity, if really very unbalanced, then having a cure on different level is ok. Else, just fix up the more important rooms (ie bedrom, living room, main door etc).…

You are about to get on a bus for a trip. Which of the following seats will you choose to sit on? 1)A front seat on the driver's side 2)A back seat on the driver's side 3)A front seat on the entrance side 4)A back seat on the entrance side Here's your analysis.................. A front seat on the driver's side You are keen to know other's matters. Besides, you choose the front seat, it means you are energetic and always lead the team. You will always tell your team where to go and you will be dissatisfied if you do not get to lead the team. That's why others leave this job to you. A back seat on the driver's side You can take care of all members in the group very well. Y…

Dear Robert: I was reading your forecast for 2005. I was born in 1956, a fire monkey, but I'm a strong water by birth element. Am I considered a strong water monkey? If I'm still considered a fire monkey, then how do I know if I'm a weak fire or strong fire monkey? Thanks a lot, Hoa Luong

Dear Anil, Yes, you are correct to bring up this issue. In a modern crowded city, one should instead look at Feng Shui at a macro level. Here, cities should instead be considered instead as at a micro level. Many cities come under this definition. Where, wealth creation is based on (for the majority) the wealth created within the city. Thus, it would explan one's puzzlement as to how do we look at Feng Shui of an apartment say which is surrounded by similar apartments or buildings and where streets may be relatively rectangular in shape and cross each other at intersections. Please see below:- Overall, as mentioned earlier, for a city, we can consider wealth as over…

Dear Cindy, When Flying Star Feng Shui is applied i.e. S2; and if your home was born or had a major renovation done between 1984 to 2003, then one should consider the various important numbers:- #8 - Current prosperity Actually, the mountain star MS#8 is directly at South while WS#8 is at the SW sector. In some homes, the gate is on the side of the home and often the front could benefit (instead) with a wall and a water postion could be determined to see if it can be at SW sector. #7 - Past prosperity but #7 became nasty in 2004. Because of the double #7's at the back of the home; if the home continues to remain as a Period 7 home, than, it would benefit from a water …

Dear Anamika, Feng Shui is about trying to increase the `earth' luck of the house. And should be applied in a `holistic' way. I feel that the most crucial aspect of Feng Shui is the house's Shape and Form i.e. can the house collect wealth? If the house can collect wealth (based on Shapes and Form) Feng Shui, then one may not do a FS audit and yet, luck flows in to the owners. This would account for many people who never seek FS advise yet, have very good luck (most of the time). I have thus coined this " Quantum Leap " in Feng Shui. Where, one would already receive say 50% to 70% added luck for the house. For excellent houses, such Quantum Leap in FS luck can even be 90%…

Dear Janna, For individuals who may not possess strong mathematical skills, it is often possible to divide a layout plan into nine equal grids: If the toilet is situated in the central grid, this is regarded as a handicap. Nevertheless, when considering the main door, it is essential to observe its position in relation to the toilet at the front. The interaction between these two elements (the main door and the toilet) frequently influences the flow of qi, potentially introducing sha qi. Personally, as Robert and I evaluate as many as thirty layouts each day, it may be more efficient for us to rely on visual cues, as this method is quicker. Warmest R…

Thank you so much for your reply and advise Master Cecil. I've made a mistake about the main door facing. It's actually facing the South and the bedrooms/Living room are facing North actually. Regards

Dear Janna, Information Technology and Country Classification 1. Info Technology In developed countries or countries with high GDP (especially the US); many of it's business and citizens are plugged into the knowledge economy and the internet. In many of these countries, the ratio of Personal computers (PCs) are high in relation to it's population. It can be as high as 3 or 5 persons to 1 pc. 2. Current Info Technology's disadvantage is that current multimedia has not caught up with the speed of delivery / privacy of multi media content. 2.1 Thus, it is currently not practical to have smart face reading technologies etc... 2.2 Presently in developed countries, many of th…

Dear Jacky, jacky chan wrote: Thanks Robert for your advice. I done much resesarch on the web and they all say no fountains in bedroom. But you really cleared things up and I believe your answer/philosophy is the most logical among theall the feng shui sitesI read. What makes you feel good, just follow your heart. Thanks! Yes, generally it is not good to put fountain in bedroom.Fountain should be placed in larger open area like living room / balcony / family area etc. But as mentioned, when we talk about a fountain it is not one of those portable / desk type fountain. Anyway, one should always remember that the purpose of Feng Shui is to create harmony. If that desk t…

Dear Anon, Water fountains can generally be placed in a living room especially, if one based it on intuition. If based on `investigative' Feng Shui, these are some of the considerations: 1. for the breadwinner who is a weak fire or strong water person, it is advisable not to have a water position in the house. 2. Under the Flying Star analysis, for example you have mentioned a specific sector or compass direction. Ideally, one should look at the elements e.g. water & mountain star plus the base and check to see if it is acceptable to add a water position. The above two concepts are important in Feng Shui. There is another concept called Ba Zhi Feng Shui which Robert w…

Dear Johannes Nugroho, Johannes Nugroho wrote: I am currently having a house built. The house will probably be finished by the end of the year. It faces northwest. I plan to have a fountain to the right of the main door, with the main statue in the fountain facing southwest, which is supposed to be one of my good directions. But then I read somewhere that the northwest sector is bad for any water feature. Is this true? I am a snake born in 1977. Thank you. Frankly, never just follow an advise or tip that you read elsewhere, unless you understand and/or applied the various tools available to personalised the analysis to your home. I mean why a certain say NW should not h…

1. More importantly; it is good to spent time or have family activites especially located at a double #8 location. 2. It does not mean one has to purposely stand in the sun or that nature. But good to have human activites. 3. On a roof, thou, the water feature is not compulory, but it adds to the so called ambience of the home or the roof top area. Often, for practical reasons, each area in any location be a home etc.. has a certain structural load or threshold. Having a large water feature - means the per kilo newton loading of say a support should not be breeched. Especially if other things like water reservior is on the same area of a building. 4. Otherwise, the k…

Thank you so much for your answer, so it seems that it would not be so harmless if I do make the fountain here, but when I am standing inside looking out (east), this fountain would actually be to my left hand side in the NE corner, what would be the implications now. Thanks again , Maria

Dear Donna, Thanks for your detailed information about the various fountains. Overall, when purchasing a fountain please take note of the following:- 1. Circular fountains are ideal. (Avoid purchasing any fountains with pointed edges, rounded edges are the best). 2. Avoid placing any rocks that symbolises a creature or some unknown shape resembling a person, an animal etc.. 3. Avoid having an animal or fish or any other objects with their `mouth' open facing the house. This will create problems for the breadwinner as a hungry mouth symbolizes a need to feed it. This may bring illness or loss of fortune to the household. 4. A fountain should not be `cluttered' with figurin…

1. Ba Zi or Four Pillars is above one's Heaven Luck. 2. Under the Holy Trinity of Luck:- Heaven Luck (born with) = The other two sets of luck are:- Earth Luck & Human Luck Both also accounts each for 33.3333% of luck. 3. Thus, his hope is to either improve both his earth luck and Human Luck. 4. Earth luck can be systematically improved using things like Flying star - to activate certain locations and sectors. For example good mountain stars can be activated for networking and relationship luck. 5. Another category is Human (factor) not so much luck but rather Human opportunties.. Get him to join some activites or even if he is not so choosy, nowadays.. the…
