Dear Anon, Yes, some people rub the tummy of the laughing Buddha. Usually, for those who pray to e.g. Godness of Mercy etc.. should keep the Laughing Buddha at a separate section. One way is to have different elevation on the same table. On the other hand, one can place it separately on another display shelf. Usually, display shelfs face e.g. a window or look at the main door or facing it (rather than facing inside the house). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Laura, I must admit that I find myself somewhat perplexed by this situation. I apologize for expressing this sentiment. This forum currently contains over 11,000 messages. If you take the time to attend two specialized conferences—such as Photo Tours of Interests (which includes photographs), Singapore Property, or Can or Cannot Buy—I am confident that your message will be well-received. It is my belief that messages shared in General conferences, such as Discuss:: Free Advice (General Feng Shui), should provide you with tangible examples. I earnestly hope that the standard of research is not one that requires individuals to be excessively guid…

1. In order to understand your question, one must master or have a good understanding of the Five elements concept:- http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm 2. As a strong metal person: 2.1 Under the Productive sequence of the five elements concept: A metal person should look at: Water = where strong metal should be reduced by the water element. Thus a career "in" water is often considered "less stressful" if one cannot find a career associated with either wood element or fire element. 2.2 Under the Destructive sequence of the five elements concept:- 2.2.1 Fire destroys metal Here, a career "in the fire element" is associated with your "POWER and AUTHORI…

Hi, This has to do with either `Superstitious' belief or `non-belief'. Under Feng Shui, the main thing to watch is: 1. If you are going to activate a mountain star e.g. if there is a mountain star to be activated, you can use a painting e.g. of the famous Mount Fuji of Japan or the Himalayan, Rocky mountain etc.. even if there is snow on top of the mountains. Contrast this to hanging a painting with a mountain scenery with a stream. To activate a mountain star avoid hanging a picture with stream or water at the location. 2. Avoid ferocious animals e.g. Tiger, leopard etc... with their mouths opened wide or where they symbolically looked hungry i.e. hungry enough to `eat'…

Dear Master Lee: Thank you for your previous response. If I cannot activate a mountain star in a sum-of-ten house because of the window, will that diminish the good effect of the sum of ten in that location? Thank you very much for your advice, Pam

Dear Anon, Usually, it is common for the conjugal bliss (a picture of a dragon and phoenix) on a Wedding Card. The dragon symbolies Male or Yang and the phoenix symbolies Female or Yin. There is no hard and fast rule for the placement of the symbol. Sometimes it is printed also on the photo album. I hardly see anyone displaying the symbol unless during marriage. Otherwise, there is really no impact of the symbol on Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, two doors facing each other is not as good for relationships. Here, I must emphasis that of relationship. In our practical world, there is really not much one can avoid such situations. Anyway, most of the time, these are not your relatives and you can still `control' the situation without using "Feng Shui". In the past, I related the case of a Singapore public flat. Both doors are facing each other directly. Here, one owner, placed a Ba Gua mirror above his front door. The neighour had `no choice' but to counter-act this by placing a Feng Shui mirror. If you look at it, this is a lose-lose situation and not a win-win situation. I have also done Feng Shui…

Dear All 1. As mentioned earlier, the key sucess factor in applying one of the principles of the Five elements is to try to harmonise the use of it. 2. For example, it is not ideal to place two elements e.g. Fire element and Water element `next to each other'. 3. Here, if we refer to the Five Elements concept, we should introduce a third element e.g. Wood element. 4. Under the Productive Element flow, we will now get: Water -> Wood (the above missing element)-> Fire. 5. I find the best example for understanding the productive cycle of the five elements is the following:- Assuming this house or office is at the ground level. If one looks out of the house or office, t…

Dear All, In this second part, one can also see how often, many FS practitioners get their Ba Zi wrong. In fact, these two case studies are real life examples, where, these two persons, were `mislead' to think that their elements were i.e in the first earlier example - strong earth. While in this second example, they were told that the analysis resulted in this case as a weak earth. This example shows how, this person especially due to double combinations of his element became a `strong earth' person. Depends on how comprehensive the analysis, most of the analysis takes only the basic 4 pillars. Thus the resulting elements would be:- 1 Water 2 Earth 2 Wood 1 Fire 2 Metal …

1. Further to what I had mentioned earlier; where an element can be associated with types of ailments:- 2. For example zero water element suggests: issues with sex organs. And if one equally has too much of an element, it creates an imbalance. 3. In this sample, it is taken from the Sample Luck Periods.pdf report. 4. Every 10 years, the balance of our elements may change. 5. For examle, this "Sample person - Male", his balance of element changes evey 10 years. See attachment..

1. Frankly, take this as "hear-say information. 2. Such Feng Shui concepts should be renegated into the trash-bin. 3. In essence; this type of Feng Shui is akin to Kindergarten type of Fung Sway. 4. If an overseas Chinese was forced to migrate from Communist China; came to the shores of Singapore in 1930's.. may be fully impressed by this statement. 5. Today, not anymore.. but rather "be prepared to be laughed at". P.S. My toes are partially laughing... still doing so... until now....

1. In my opinion, honestly, it may or may not be coincidence! 2. As normally when we (professional) practitioners have to do an indepth study e.g. of one's home, check one's luck periods etc... 3. Assuming that there are currently no unlucky stars that appear for the home, then, it may be the case (associated) with what you had mentioned. 4. If your favourable elements are yellow (earth) and green/ brown (wood) than it is still best to go with these two colours. 5. In general, if you still continue to suffer an unlucky streak, without much improvement, then there is a higher weightage that this colour may likely have brought you inauspicious luck. Dear Hartono, Grateful if you can clarify further. Do you mean that your home has two set of stairs or is it the building that you live has two set of stairs. Usually, if it is the building, this could be due to fire regulations where many buildings have two set of stairs on both sides. For stairs in the home, (interior) of the home: 1. The stairs should not be located at the centre of the house. 2. The stairs should have a turn or landing and not be one long set of steps. 3. Where possible avoid spiral staircases. 4. The steps should not be directly seen from the main entrance door. 5. It is ok to have to sets of stairs in the house. This is acceptable especially if one …

1. Frankly there are a few remedies but they involve some changes or activity. What it tries to achieve is to have the door "protected" from the poison arrow (sha qi). 1.1. Is it possible to relocate the door? Or tilt the door. (It is best that tilting be done by a professional). 1.2 Fencing between the T section and the main door. Or any other landscaping with the use of bushes or plants. Usually best that the actual layout is looked at to further determine if there are any other possible "cures". The last resort or alternative to the ba gua is hanging a six-hollow rod windchime.

Dear Guanawan, Careers now-a-days are hard to determine exactly what element they belong to, due to multiple skills involved. Last time, a butcher is a butcher. But generally, for fire element here are just a few list of careers/business and it's relationship to five element based on our Five element section in the Applied Feng Shui ebook. " Chemical process, Fashion, Housewife, Law (prosecution), Livestock, Marketing (sales), Oil, Public Relations, Sales " Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, It is still acceptable for the kitchen to face the bedroom door. The reason it may be considered inauspicious is that the kitchen do have utensils and metal objects such as forks, knifes etc... If one can manage to keep this properly and not in full view of the bedroom/bedroom door this is acceptable. Some Professional FS Masters even consider items such as a fork, which they consider `poision arrows'. If all these items are properly kept in cabinets or drawers, there should not be a problem. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: I am confused about with you compatibility chart. I am a Ram but also an East person whose Kua # is 9. Dear Anon, 1. Practical or applied Feng Shui does not come about like what you had mentioned. 2. Recently, I got calls from potential clients worried about how their new condo could be turned topsy turvy with Feng Shui. 3. One potential client mentioned that, there were so worried to engage the same Feng Shui practitioner as their relative. This was because, the Feng Shui practitioner asked them to tear down the newly built wardrope and kitchen cabinets. Of a new condo. 4. These are similar concerns echoed by at least 3 more callers that I had received. Hmm... in my opinion, doing so is indeed a waste of money. And quite a desperate move. Which is never fruitful. On the c…

Dear Anon, This is not exactly true. In traditional Feng Shui, it is common for a FS practioner to advise the home owner to instead tilt the door facing one of his good direction. Here, it is adviseable to consult a FS consultant on the exact tilt degree. In the above situation, it is said that one kills two bird with one stone. For example if the door happens to be an inauspicious direction, by tilting the door to an auspicious direction, it solves the problem of the inauspicious door and also enable the owner to have the door face his good direction. Other than the above, it is also quite common for a FS practioner to advise his client to tilt the door especially if it…

Dear Anon, In a general sense, one can say that fudogs are considered `puppies' while lions are `heavy weight'. Both are considered `guardians'. It is very common for large Chinese buildings to have lion statutes rather than fudogs. Fudogs are usually used in a house and serves as a `milder' form of `guardian'. You will never find a pair of fudogs guarding a large building. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kritchnop, 1. If one is applying ba zi to relate to car colours then simply use the free tool e.g. in this website located at geomancy-online.com to check one's ba zi element. 2. For example, some of us are Weak Metal, while others may be strong metal, strong wood etc.... 3. The preferred colours are available to all of us. 4. To be honest, colours are considered "nice-to-have" and not a must! 5. In addition, most of us have three categories of careers (based on our ba zi) e.g. Career with wealth Career withpower and authority and Career that is acceptable or OK. Warmest Regards, Cecil Kritchnop Kuludomphongse wrote: Dear Mr Robert Lee, Thank you for your…
