hello, i have yet another question. currently at work, i am sitting in my spook/irritation direction. i have a wall in front of me and a window beside me. the view out the window is other taller buildings corners, sides etc... (does the corner count as poison arrows?). i share a cubicle so there is no wall behind me but a corner of a verticle supporting column points twds me. the person whom i share the cubicle with is a 'small person' whom causes lots of disturbances around the office. recently, i have been given a choice to move to a single (non-sharing) cubicle. this cubicle is more in my prosperityline but also very, very close to my disaster line. i will be su…

Dear Feng Shui Master, Recently I have purchased an L-shaped apartment before I became interested in Feng Shui. I have read that L-shaped apts have bad feng shui due to missing sectors. I wld like to detail the floor plan as follows: The 3 bedrooms, dining and living room forms the vertical part of the L. The kitchen, yard and store forms the horizontal part of the L. Based on the apatment building facing of S, which gives it a Kan Gua(sitting N), the main door of the apt faces E and is in the Tian Yi sector. Part of the kitchen, which is to the right of the door entrance but seperated by a wall, also resides in the Tian Yi sector. The rest of the kitchen, yard and store…

Hi Adviser, From one of the free 8 house reports generated from your website, it is stated that Northwill beideal for storeroom or toilets as it's my spook direction. I'm born in rat year. But I read a book that for year 2006, those born in the year of Rat should not have a toilet occupying their north direction, or else career luck is adversely affected. The book states that by placingcrystals or growing plants inside such a toilet will reduce the bad effect. I happened to have a toilet occupying the north of my house. I'm Basically a sagittarian rat. Would like to hear your advice. Thank You. Gummy

Dear Carina, Frankly, it all depends on where the over-head beam is or if the overhead beam is at the edge of a bedroom; then how thick it is. Please see attachment. In the attachment one can see that although there is a beam around the "bed-head" area, one can still sensibly place the bed head slightly further the wall i.e. not touching the wall. And if we includ the pillow case and where we lie on the pillow, we can see that often, the beam is no longer above our head. Since you have not mentioned in detail whether your situation is like the above or if there is beam that is extremely thick or the beam suddenly protrudes further and not at the edge. If your situ…

Dear Anon, In Asia, in my opinion, the most popular set of display figurines has got to be the "Fu Lu Shou" set of threefigurines.Either in a set or lettering. Before the popularity of the laughing buddha or buddha figurines; the above can be found in many "well-to-do"Chinese homes as early as 1960's. They are in-fact very popular right up today. The "Fu Lu Shou" figurines do not have any religious connotationsbut simply many Chinese love to display this set of three wise persons. As mentioned as one of the most popular display items of any Chinese homes. Thesethree figurines comes in many sizes, large, medium and small. They come in all sorts of material from gold, s…

Thank you for your prompt reply. To further clarify on the same subject, there are eight kua according to the Eight House Theory. I agree that thefacing directionwhere the Qi enter the house is of utmost important. But before that we have to determine the kua of the house before we can apply the Eight House Theory. So, a house that sits on East (using the loupan to determine), it is the "chen" kua and thus we can apply, based on the Eight House Theory, the favourable and unfavourable directions based on the "chen" kua. Do you agree?

Dear Sean, Sean Lee wrote: Eg. what is difference between Weak Yang Wood vs Weak Yin Wood? Actually, yin and yang simply defines more the chracteristics of a person. For example, Yang type tends to be more aggressive and very like outgoing type, while Yin type tends to be more passive and very introvert ype. But ultimately depends on the overall yin and yang balance. Sean Lee wrote: Read that a Weak Wood should find a spouse that is Water or Wood. Does it mean I should find a spouse of Strong (Yang or Yin?) Water or a Strong (Yang or Yin?) Wood? To be frank, it is hard to find the most perfect partner. ie a weak wood person would best have a partner such as Strong Water…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Lee, what element is a piano? Is it considered woodelement (because the outercasing and the keyboardis made ofwood)or metal element (because of the metalstrings inside) or water element(because it produces music)? In general, piano by itself is a furniture, depending on the material it is made the type of element can vary. However, when you use it to play music than the action is Water because it produces music. There isn't a real auspicious or specific feng shui location for piano location. It should be treated just as part of a furniture and place where it is most appropriate. ie usually close to the living room area for everyone/…

Hi, under the Eight House Theory, Interpreting the 'Intangible Force', it is mentioned that we overlay the Kua template of the houseowner onto the house plan according to the direction of the house. I am ratherconfused as it should be the'type' of house accordingto thedirection of the main door. So the eight directions will be at different location then. Canyou clarify?

Hi! I have a little problem, when we moved to this apartment with 2 bedrooms, we use the small one for my husband's studio (he is a musician), and since my daughter was a baby we use the master for the 3 of us. When she grow up, we decided to let her have the master and we went to the living room on a futon. The master is located on the finance area, and since we are having trouble with our finances, I decided to put some feng shui to workand I'd like to change rooms, give the small room to my daughter and use the master as a studio plus our bedroom with the same futon. I think this would be better because we'll have more privacy, and we would be on the power zone. Am I …

Dear Cherry, Cherry Yam wrote: I just rented a house and the kitchen is in the center of the house. My sister told me it's not good. What can I do to cure this? Ideally, the center of the house should be empty if possible. If the kitchen is located there, but the stove is not located at the center of the house, then it is not as bad. If the stove is located at the center point of the house then, nothing much you can really do here except to move out to a better layout. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Will you advise us to give up the toilets and make everything rectangular? Actually, there are public toilets in the building but it is kind of far. The layout 2 will be much cleaner and better in the long run. So that would be most recommended if possible. Dear Aloysius Chia, Aloysius Chia wrote: Reason being if a person do not have a good chinese name (after analysis) but with good ba zi and staying in a good feng shui house, will his bad chinese name affect him. I have confusion over the above 3 combination as you may not have a good ba zi but a good feng shui house will assist you in many ways but will a good chinese name help too. A good name does help you in some way to boost up what you lack in your ba zi. However, it is not 100% necessary to bring you a great deal of luck change compared to the Feng Shui. A person's luck is affected by Heaven, Earth and Human luck. So my ranking would be:- 1) Earth Luck / Feng …

As you know the car will have petrol, then when you do work, sometimes you keep the oil or flamable products in the garage. Soshould there be a fire, the bedroomif located on top will be the firsttobe affected. This is similiar to the kitchen. However, what is the probability of a fire starting in the garage, then compared to the kitchen. So this is not really as bad or as inauspicious. A pratical solution would just to install smoke detectors or sprinklers for safety. Anonymous …
